1Deux considérations importantes doivent être tirées dès maintenant de tout ce qui précède : la première c’est que l’évolution quelle qu’elle soit, qu’il s’agisse de la montée du minéral par le végétal vers l’animalité ou delà montée de la matière vers la force, est précédée d’un courant opposé inconnu des transformistes actuels : l’involution. La seconde que ces deux courants passent l’un et l’autre par la même voie, l’un pour descendre (l’involution), l’autre pour monter (l’évolution). ★ ¥ ¥ La vie circule dans la cellule, la vie circule dans l’homme, d’où vient-elle? La cellule humaine est immobilisée dans l’organe, mais voici que le courant vital porté par le sang passe rapide au-devant d’elle ; elle prend de ce courant ce qu’il lui faut et accomplit sa fonction; le courant est le même partout et chaque cellule le transforme différemment. Ici c’est la cellule d’une glande qui va puiser sa force dans la vie que le sang lui apporte, et la salive, le suc gastrique ou la bile vont être sécrétés. Là c’est la cellule musculaire qui va emprunter le moyen de se contracter à ce même courant qui a fourni tout à l’heure des sécrétions diverses. 2A cette question le chercheur se renferme dans son laboratoire et voit un faisceau de lumière blanche venir se briser contre un prisme et se transformer en couleurs variées. Le courant de lumière blanche passe et chacun des organes agit en lui. Ici c’est un organe dont la matière est grossière, il représente la base du prisme, les couleurs inférieures vont apparaître ou plutôt les sécrétions les plus grossières. Là c’est un organe où la matière est à son maximum de perfection, il représente le sommet du prisme, les couleurs supérieures se forment, l’intelligence va naître. Telles sont les bases de la Médecine occulte1. Mais ce courant vital, d’où vient-il encore? De l’air où le globule sanguin va le chercher pour le charrier à travers l’organisme. Mais l’Unité magnifique des productions d’Osi ris-ï sis apparaît encore plus éclatante. Un même courant circule à travers la Planète et chacun des Individus qui est sur elle y prend sa vie. L’homme aspire et transforme la Vie terrestre en Vie humaine, comme dans lui le cerveau transformera cette Vie humaine en Vie cérébrale, le foie en Vie hépatique, etc. 1. 3L'Animal transforme la Vie terrestre en la sienne propre, selon son espèce. Le Végétal puise aussi à pleines feuilles sa vie spéciale dans celle de la mère commune la Terre. Le Minéral et tous les êtres transforment en force personnelle cette force terrestre. Toujours l’analogie mathématiquement exacte, avec la lumière blanche et le prisme dont chaque être représente un morceau. Mais la Terre ne prend-elle pas sa vie et par suite celle de tout ce qu’elle porte dans ce courant lumineux et vital dans lequel elle plonge? Le Soleil déverse à pleins tlots sa Vie solaire sur les planètes de son système et chacune d’elles transforme la Vie solaire en sa vie propre. La Terre en fait la Vie terrestre; Saturne la Vie saturnienne, sombre et froide; Jupiter sa vie propre, et ainsi pour chacune des autres planètes et de leurs satellites. Mais le Soleil lui-même ne tire-t-il pas sa Vie solaire, cette lumière-chaleur-électricité qu’il déverse, de l’Univers dont il fait partie? Alors le chercheur, saisissant dans son auguste ensemble la Synthèse de la vie, se prosterne et adore. 11 adore la Vie qui est en lui, cette Vie que la Terre lui a donnée, cette Vie que le Soleil a donnée à notre Monde, que celui-ci a tirée de l’Univers et que l’Univers a tirée du centre mystérieux et ineffable où l’Etre des Etres, l’Univers des Univers, l’UNITÉ VIE, OSIRIS-ISIS, réside dans son éternelle union. \

Here it is the cell of a gland, which draws its force from the life the blood brings it, and saliva, gastric juice, or bile will be secreted. There it is the muscle cell, which will borrow from this same current, which a moment ago furnished various secretions, the means of contracting. There, finally, it is the nerve cell, which will transform this same producing agent, of such different phenomena, into Intelligence. ! • * — 143 — Is it possible that one and the same force, life, should be transformed into forces of such different orders, and this through the different form of the organs?
2To this question the researcher shuts himself up in his laboratory and sees a beam of white light come to break against a prism and transform itself into varied colors. The colors depend on the thickness of the glass traversed. This test suffices. — 11 (a scanning misread of "Il," French for "He") understands. Life, always the same, circulating in man, may be compared to white light; each of the organs to a different piece of the prism. The current of white light passes through, and each of the organs acts upon it. Here is an organ whose matter is coarse; it represents the base of the prism; the lower colors will appear, or rather the coarsest secretions. There is an organ where matter is at its maximum of perfection; it represents the apex of the prism; the higher colors form there; intelligence is about to be born. Such are the bases of Occult Medicine.1 But this vital current — whence does it come, in turn? From the air, whence the blood corpuscle goes to seek it, to carry it throughout the organism. But the magnificent Unity of the productions of Osiris-Isis appears still more resplendent. One and the same current circulates through the Planet, and each of the Individuals upon it draws its life from it. Man breathes in and transforms terrestrial Life into human Life, just as within him the brain will transform this human Life into cerebral Life, the liver into hepatic Life, etc. 1. 3The Animal transforms terrestrial Life into its own, according to its species. The Plant, too, draws through its full foliage its own special life from that of the common mother, the Earth. The Mineral, and all beings, transform this terrestrial force into a personal force. Always the mathematically exact analogy, with white light and the prism, of which every being represents a piece. But does not the Earth take its own life, and consequently that of everything it bears, from this luminous and vital current in which it is plunged? The Sun pours forth in full flood its solar Life upon the planets of its system, and each of them transforms this solar Life into its own life. The Earth makes of it terrestrial Life; Saturn, Saturnian Life, dark and cold; Jupiter, its own life; and so for each of the other planets and their satellites. But does not the Sun itself draw its own solar Life — this light-heat-electricity that it pours forth — from the Universe of which it is a part?
