Cookie Policy
The short of it
A visitor who is not signed in gets no cookie from this site until they choose. Signing in sets the cookie that keeps you signed in. Google's analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you choose Accept in the cookie bar; Reject is one click, and 'Cookie choices' in the footer changes your answer at any time.

Decline, and nothing from Google loads on these pages.
On Stripe's payment pages, Stripe sets its own cookies under its own policy.
Kept in your browser, not cookies
Never sent anywhere unless noted; cleared when you clear this site's data:
- tcp-consent — your answer in the cookie bar
- tcp_session — a random key for our own page counting; sent with page views to our database, never to anyone else
- tcp_attr_sent — for this tab only: the campaign that brought you has been recorded
- tcp_reading:… — your place in each work you read
- tcp-reader-sides, tcp-reader-view, tcp-reader-text — how you set up the reader
- tcp_assessment_draft — assessment answers not yet saved to your account
- tcp_ask_thread — your current Ask conversation
- tcp.practice.tz — your time zone, for the practice log
- tcp:sound-safety-ack — that you have read the sound-safety note
Your choices
The cookie bar and 'Cookie choices' in the footer control Google's cookies. Your browser can block or delete any cookie; blocking the sign-in cookie means you cannot sign in. Questions: privacy@thecollectivepress.org.
