1Vers le xie siècle avant notre ère, les Zaths étaient déjà retirés dans la Douab ou Mésopotamie, entre le Gemma et le Gange. Dans leur besoin d'un Dieu, et n’en trouvant pas, ils en firent un du soleil, qui, pour eux, est l’astre des besoins, et le nommèrent Isa-Kris > ten parce que sa lumière est brillante comme l’or, pure comme l’air, et diaphane comme le cristal. Ils le font concevoir par Maha-Maria, la grande Marie, mer ou océan céleste qui contient la lumière du monde, et le font naître de la planète ou déesse lune Devaki, laquelle le mit au monde le 25 décembre, à minuit, dans la ville de Mythra, sur les bords de la rivière qui, pour ces raisons, fut nommée Iemma et Gemma de la Nuit et de la Naissance.
