Kabbale.

GLOSSARY
Unconscious. The principle directing organs or beings outside of Consciousness.
Man, according to esotericism, has two unconsciouses: an organic, or lower, unconscious, which presides over the working of the organs, and a psychic, higher unconscious (the 6e and 7e principles). See Higher Self.
Incubus-Succubus. (See Elementary.)
Initiate (from initium, beginning, Littré). One who has been admitted to the mysteries. The initiate knows the rudiments of esoteric doctrine. 11 has generally undergone certain trials. Present-day Freemasons may give themselves the title of initiates into the mysteries of Freemasonry.
The initiate is the grade conferred before that of adept (see this word).
Intuition. The sixth sense, in the course of development in present-day humanity.
The alliance of intuition and reason forms the basis of the teachings of Theosophy (Fludd, Paracelsus, Boehme, etc.).
Involution. The descent of Force into Matter, the multiplication of the original unity. Symbolically, involution has been figured by the story of the fall of Adam.

Kabbalah. The word Kabbalah means tradition.
According to certain authors, the Bible is incomprehensible without a secret explanation. This explanation is said to have been given orally by Moses to certain chosen men and transmitted thus from generation to generation. However, at a certain period, the fear of losing the tradition is said to have determined its possessors to write it down, as symbolically as possible. Hence the origin of the two fundamental books of the Kabbalah: the Sepher Yetzirah and the Zohar.
