Ainsi: 10=1+0 = 1 11 = 1 + 1 = 2 12=1+2 = 3 et pour des nombres plus composés, comme par exemple 3,221 = 3+2 + 2+ 1 =8, ou 660 = 6 +6+ 6 = 18 et comme 18 = 1 + 8= 9 le nombre 666 égale neuf. De ceci découle une considération très importante, c’est que tous les nombres, quels qu’ils soient, ne sont que des représentations des neuf premiers chiffres. Comme les neuf premiers chiffres, ainsi qu’on peut le voir par l’exemple précédent, ne sont que des représentations des quatre premiers, tous les nombres sont représentés par les quatre premiers. Or ces quatre premiers chiffres ne sont que des états divers de l’Unité. Tous les nombres, quels qu’ils soient, ne sont que des manifestations diverses de l’Unité. 2° Addition théosophique : Cette opération consiste, pour connaître la valeur théosophique d’un nombre, à additionner arithmétiquement tous les chiffres depuis l’unité jusqu’à lui. Ainsi le chiffre 4 égale en addition théosophique 1 + 2 + 3 + 4= 10. Le chiffre 7 égale 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 0 + 6 + 7 = 28. 28 se réduit immédiatement en 2 + 8 = 10. Si vous voulez remplir d’étonnement un algébriste, présentez-lui l’opération théosophique suivante : 4 = 10 7 = 10 Donc 4 = 7 — 97 —

Elles sont indispensables à connaître pour comprendre les écrits hermétiques et représentent d’après les plus grands maîtres la marche que suit la nature dans ses productions.
