Les histoires symboliques représentent le sens positif des vérités énoncées, les tableaux correspondent au sens comparatif et à l’analyse de ces vérités; nous allons étudier tout à l’heure les "ignés qui correspondent à la synthèse. Auparavant deux questions restent à élucider : la construction et la lecture de ces tableaux. Pour construire un tableau analogique on détermine d’abord le chiffre (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) dont le tableau est le développement. Ainsi le tableau magique ci-dessous est construit d’après le chiffre 4. Il faudra donc tout d’abord autant de colonnes qu’il y a de principes étudiés, c’est-à-dire autant de colonnes que le chiffre représente d’unités. Prenons comme exemple quatre faits quelconques et déterminons leur position d'après le nombre Trois. On peut retourner l’angle droit du triangle, le faire venir sur le mot Horus, par exemple, et lire la phrase suivante :

We have given, at the beginning of the chapter, various applications of this method, enough that it seems needless to us to return to it. We have just clarified yet another of the mysterious procedures employed by the initiates to express their idea. We also have some data concerning two of the greatest sciences of the Sanctuary: Magic and Astrology. Let us continue on our way and see whether we shall be equally fortunate in studying the most secret manner in which the teaching of Occult Science was surrounded: the Pantacles, or symbolic figures. But first let us summarize, in a table of Three, some of the knowledge of our own time.
