Ainsi fut dissoute et s’évanouit, toute forme corporelle se mouvant sur la Terre, dans l’oiseau et dans le quadrupède, et dans 1 existence animale, et dans la Vie originelle et vermiforme, issue de la Terre, et dans tout l’Homme universel, tout Adam ! 22. Mais il se souvint, mi-les-Dieux, de l’existence de Noé, et de celle de la vie animale, et de tout le genre quadrupède, renfermés ensemble dans la Thebah, cet asile sacré ; et il fît passer de l’Orient à l’Occident, un souffle sur la Terre qui réprima la dilatation des eaux. 2. Les sources de l’abîme potentiel indéfini furent fermées, les forces multiplicatrices des eaux s’arrêtèrent dans les cieux ; et l'atmosphère aqueuse tombant en masse, s’épuisa. 3. Agitées d’un mouvement périodique de flux et de reflux, les eaux balancées sur la Terre, revinrent enfin à leur premier état ; elles se retirèrent en elles-mêmes au bout de cinq décuples et une centaine entière de périodes lumineuses. 4. Et dans le septième renouvellement lunaire, au dix-septième jour de ce renouvellement, la Thebah s’arrêta sur les hauteurs de YArarat ; c’est-à-dire aux premières lueurs du cours réfléchi de la lumière. 5. Mais les eaux, toujours agitées d’un flux et reflux continuel, furent en proie à ce double mouvement de se porter en avant et de se retirer en elles-mêmes, jusqu’au dixième renouvellement lunaire.
3Ce ne fut que le premier de cette dixième Néoménie, que parurent les prémices des éléments, les principes des enfantements naturels, les sommets des montagnes. 6. Là se terminèrent les quatre décuples de jour ; et Noé, dégageant la lumière qu’il avait faite à la Thebah, 7. Lâcha l’Érebe, l’obscurité occidentale, qui, prenant un mouvement alternatif de sortie et de rentrée, suivit et suivra ce mouvement périodique jusqu’à l’entier dessèchement des eaux de dessus la Terre. 8. Ensuite, il laissa aller d’avec lui, Ylôna, la force plastique de la Nature ; afin de reconnaître si les eaux s’allégeaient sur la face de l’Élément adamique. 9. Mais Ylôna, ne trouvant point de lieu de repos pour communiquer son action génératrice, revint vers lui, ver la Thebah, parce que les eaux occupaient encore toute la surface terrestre ; il déploya donc sa puissance, et l’ayant retirée, la fit venir à lui vers la Thebah. 10. Et lorsqu’il eut attendu un septénaire d’autres périodes lumineuses, il émit de nouveau Ylôna hors de la Thebah. 11. Mais elle ne revint à lui, cette faculté plastique de la Nature, qu’au temps même de l’Érebe, telle qu’une colombe fuyant le noir corbeau : une sublimation de l’essence ignée avait été saisie par sa faculté conceptive ; en sorte que Noé reconnut à ce signe que les eaux s’étaient allégées sur la Terre. 12. Néanmoins il attendit encore un septénaire d’autres jours, après lesquels il émit de nouveau Ylôna; mais cette faculté génératrice étant sortie, ne revint plus vers lui. 13. Ce fut donc dans l’unité et six centaines de mutation temporelle, dans le principe principe, au premier du renouvellement lunaire, que les eaux se défirent et s’usèrent sur la Terre : alors Noé élevant le faîte de la Thebah , considéra, et vit qu’en elïet, les eaux s’étaient séparées et défaites à la surface de l’Élément adamique. 14. Ainsi la Terre étant séchée au second renouvellement lunaire, au vingt-septième jour de ce renouvellement, 13. Il parla, Lui-les-Dieux, à Noé, disant : 16. Sors de la Thebah, toi ! et ensemble avec toi, ta faculté volitive efficiente, tes productions émanées, et les facultés physiques de tes productions. 17. Et fais sortir ensemble toi, toute Vie animale, de toute forme corporelle, en oiseau, en quadrupède, en toute sorte de reptile serpentant sur la Terre : qu'ils y pullulent, y fructifient, y multiplient en abondance.

But He remembered, HIM-the-Gods, the existence of Noah, and that of animal life, and of the whole quadruped kind, enclosed together in the Thebah, this sacred refuge; and He caused to pass from the East to the West, a breath upon the Earth which restrained the dilation of the waters. 2. The sources of the indefinite potential abyss were closed, the multiplying forces of the waters stopped in the heavens; and the aqueous atmosphere falling in mass, exhausted itself. 3. Agitated by a periodic movement of ebb and flow, the waters balanced upon the Earth, returned at last to their first state; they withdrew into themselves at the end of five decuples and one entire hundred of luminous periods. 4. And in the seventh lunar renewal, on the seventeenth day of this renewal, the Thebah stopped upon the heights of Ararat; that is to say at the first gleams of the reflected course of light. 5. But the waters, still agitated by a continual ebb and flow, remained a prey to this double movement of advancing and of withdrawing into themselves, until the tenth lunar renewal.
3It was only on the first of this tenth Neomenia, that appeared the firstfruits of the elements, the principles of natural births, the summits of the mountains. 6. There ended the four decuples of day; and Noah, releasing the light he had made within the Thebah, 7. Released the Raven, the occidental darkness, which, taking an alternating movement of going out and returning, followed and shall follow this periodic movement until the entire drying of the waters from off the Earth. 8. Then, he let go from him, Yona, the plastic force of Nature; in order to learn whether the waters were lightening upon the face of the adamic Element. 9.
