For the rest, they know their baleful immediacy, since never of themselves do they manifest to their descendant, they know too well the fatality they drag everywhere; only their heart is human, avid of other hearts, they will have no more courage to refuse ours when offered than a lover has to refuse the woman who gives herself, in heedlessness of consequences.

All attempts to obtain their aid insult them, unless one be of their blood: and in this last case, they grow impassioned and destroy us. To pray for them, to wash them of all the muds the vulgar have flung upon their name, conciliate them to you for ever without attracting them.

A contemporary mystic, a prey for a moment to such circumstances that he could believe all hell at his heels, had the idea of saying evening and morning an ave for Satan, adding: « Faithful Angels, pray Mary for the fallen angels. » At once, all changed, and to such a point that the troubled mystic believed he had sinned, and consulted the T. R. P. Alta. « Go in peace, — said the dominican, — ^* your only sin has been to believe that a mercy was in you which was not in God; as for the efficacy, it is logical; a movement of the heart is for Satan what for a leper would be the kiss of a queen; and think you what unheard-of devotion would animate the lazar, at that caress: « No one would touch thee with a glove, and thou wilt die « without a caress; take this kiss of a crowned « woman. »

Must it be repeated again, Satan has a human heart; if he is flattered and honoured, he wishes to merit those honours, and to illuminate us, forgetting that he is obscured: if one spits at his name he rises up furious and wicked; if he is pitied without being honoured, and if he is loved for his suffering, he recognises his son, and with all the power God leaves him, he defends us; our enemy he watches for, awaiting the hour when sin will deliver him up, and then he strikes as one would strike to avenge one's child,

Satan and his legion are in perpetual activity, in passional activity, with a free will as restricted as our own, and like us doing good and evil.

The Atlantic cataclysm singularly represents a Kelt version of the Deluge, and as it were the mostextreme exodus of the primitive world. That race uneasy, adventurous, tormented, which Hahnock paints for us insupportable to the earth, is indeed the one which first must have emigrated toward the boreal lands to develop itself without contact of the earth-dwellers or ordinary mortals.

The ionian myth of the seven Pleiades sons of Atlas, the Guibbor and of Œther or of the angels, represents to us the colossal son of Prometheus in Satan, leading the Titans (or terrestrialised Bene-Œlohim) to a sacrilegious messiation. Hesiod, concordant with the kaldaeo - christian esotericism, says him condemned to the dolorous life of the intermediary world since he had fallen from the superior one and since his essence would permit him to conserve terrestrity.

Istar 4-7

Atlantis would then be the continent aimed at bythe divine anger and which succumbed entirely: mercy only would have been shown to the oriental elohites, less impossible in mad pride.

In the present state of science, the highest antiquity of civilisation belongs to the race and the country of the Kasdim, and not upon the interpretation of apocryphal texts but bythe very monuments of the Louvre. The Atlantean Exodus marked its passage and its Sinaic quarantines bythese megalithic monuments: mene-hiers, cromlechs, nurhs-gards, dolmens, of which the first, in the form of obelisks, could only have been erected by a play of dynamism and statics impossible to our savants. Who knows whether the Atlantean Kelt, his pigment discoloured by the change of atmosphere at the time of the great diluvian catastrophe, did not fragmentarily save himself upon the american shores where the new climatological influence would have reddened the race?

To cl ear oneself a respectful path across the forest of myths human thought has cultivated upon its past, one must disentangle the crossing of the lianas, and not cut them with blows of theory: one could therefore only propose an opinion, not impose it upon these hyperhistorisms. So too, without notion sacred or profane upon the initial ethnic of the universe, mustone . begin the investigation only at the fall of the Angels: and î1 appears then a humanity black or yellow, the Chamics and Touranians after the

Deluge, over against the supreme Race of the Gûibœlohites which will spread two branches, more distinct in the metaphysical than in the physical, the Semite and the Arya: there is less distance between the hindoo rajah and the AngloSaxon than between two Latins, the one jewish, the other gael.
