1Isaac, comme vous l'avez vu, fait le type du Christ; car Abraham, en récompense de sa grande foi, fut doué par le Créateur de toutes les vertus puissantes dont avait joui Adam dans son état de gloire. Il fut nommé par l'esprit: homme-dieu parfait de la terre, parce qu'il naîtrait de lui une vraie postérité de Dieu sous une forme corporelle apparente terrestre. Abraham était aussi le type du Créateur; en conséquence, il naquit de lui un juste pur et saint, qui fut appelé comme je l'ai dit Isaac. Ce nom signifie ris ou réjouissance. Abraham fit de nouveau le type du Créateur en voulant immoler son propre fils, et ce fils, comme nous l'avons dit, était le vrai type de celui que le Créateur enverrait sur la terre pour opérer le véritable sacrifice. Voilà le second type que font Abraham et Isaac dans cet univers.
2Le troisième se trouve dans la postérité d'Isaac. Vous savez qu'il eut deux enfants jumeaux dont l’un fut appelé Jacob et l’autre Esaü. Jacob était l'aîné de conception, Esaü était le second. Ces deux hommes, provenus d’un père aussi juste, étaient destinés à faire un type essentiel et très instructif pour tous les hommes de la terre. Je n’entrerai point dans le détail d'usurpation que Jacob a faite sur son frère Esaü: l'Écriture en fait assez mention, puisqu'elle a donné à Jacob à ce sujet, le nom de supplanteur, et le fait est d'autant plus facile à concevoir que nous le voyons journellement s'opérer à nos yeux parmi les hommes qui ne cherchent qu'à se supplanter les uns les autres. Je vous dirai donc qu’Abraham a fait le type du père divin et Isaac celui de fils de la Divinité. De même, ces deux enfants d'Isaac font les types de la première et de la seconde émanation spirituelles faites par le Créateur et celles des esprits qui ont prévariqué. Jacob, quoique le second né, fut le premier conçu par Isaac. La seconde émanation qui fut faite après la prévarication des premiers esprits et celle du mineur spirituel que nous nommons Réaux, Roux ou Adam:
3Esaü, quoique premier-né, fut le second fils conçu par Isaac. Les premiers esprits, ayant prévariqué contre le Créateur, le mineur ou le premier homme les supplanta spirituellement, et devint par là leur aîné. Jacob, comme vous venez de le voir clairement, fait, par son rang de conception, le type des esprits prévaricateurs, et Esaü, par son rang de conception, fait le type du mineur.

1Isaac, as you have seen, makes the type of Christ; for Abraham, in reward for his great faith, was endowed by the Creator with all the powerful virtues which Adam had enjoyed in his state of glory. He was named by the spirit: perfect man-god of the earth, because there would be born of him a true posterity of God under an apparent terrestrial corporeal form. Abraham was also the type of the Creator; in consequence, there was born of him a just one, pure and holy, who was called, as I have said, Isaac. This name signifies laughter or rejoicing. Abraham made anew the type of the Creator in wishing to immolate his own son, and this son, as we have said, was the true type of him whom the Creator would send upon the earth to operate the true sacrifice. Such is the second type made by Abraham and Isaac in this universe.
2The third is found in the posterity of Isaac. You know that he had two twin children, whereof the one was called Jacob and the other Esau. Jacob was the elder of conception, Esau was the second. These two men, proceeded from so just a father, were destined to make a type essential and very instructive for all the men of the earth. I shall not enter into the detail of the usurpation which Jacob made upon his brother Esau: the Scripture makes mention enough of it, since it has given Jacob upon this subject the name of supplanter; and the fact is the easier to conceive in that we see it daily operated before our eyes among men who seek only to supplant one another. I shall tell you then that Abraham made the type of the divine father and Isaac that of son of the Divinity. Likewise, these two children of Isaac make the types of the first and of the second spiritual emanations made by the Creator, and those of the spirits who prevaricated. Jacob, though the second born, was the first conceived by Isaac. The second emanation, which was made after the prevarication of the first spirits and that of the spiritual minor whom we name Reaux, Roux or Adam:
3Esau, though firstborn, was the second son conceived by Isaac. The first spirits, having prevaricated against the Creator, the minor or the first man supplanted them spiritually, and thereby became their elder. Jacob, as you have just clearly seen, makes, by his rank of conception, the type of the prevaricating spirits; and Esau, by his rank of conception, makes the type of the minor.
