1Heli reconciled the first man with the Creator, by the mediation of his spirit, which made conjunction with the first emanated minor. Enoch, by his justice, operated in favour of the posterity of the children of Seth, both living and deceased, upon whom he caused to pass the character or the authentic seal of his operation. It is with this seal that he marked those who were worthy to accompany Christ when he went to render account to his father, the Creator, of the operations he had made for his greater glory and to the shame of his enemies. Noah repeated the same type, as did Melchizedek, Elijah, Zerubbabel and Christ. These are they who were appointed by order of the Creator to mark the spiritual minor beings who were to accompany the triumph of the manifestation of the divine justice operated by the power of the Man-God and divine, according to his immediate correspondence with the Creator.
2I shall not enter into the detail of the different operations which these just ones performed to co-operate in the marking of those signalled who were definitively to form the court of Christ, when he went to appear in spirit face to face with the Creator, father of all immutable divine authority and power. But you might ask me how it can be that what I have said touching the reconciliation of the minor was operated by the just of whom I have just spoken. Every event, you will say to me, temporal or spiritual, was it not forestalled by the immutable laws which the Creator had given to the universal creation? I shall answer you that you ought to feel that God could not forestall what he had not foreseen, being unable to read within thought, as I have already said, save when it is conceived, and being unable to destroy the will of spiritual beings. It is known that, without this liberty, Adam could not have prevaricated, and his prevarication operated a change so considerable that the Creator was forced to change the operation of the general and particular creation. By the general creation must be understood the earth, and by the particular creation, all the minors who inhabit it, as much in the terrestrial as in the celestial body. Yes, it is this prevarication, which you cannot be ignorant of, though you do not yet perfectly know its kind, that obliged the Creator to make force of divine law in his creation.
3You know that the Creator emanated Adam, man-God just of the earth, and that he was incorporated in a body of incorruptible glory. You know that, when he had prevaricated, he cursed him personally together with his impure work, and thereafter cursed the whole earth. You know further that, by this prevarication, Adam degenerated from his form of glory into a form of terrestrial matter. You shall therefore know from me that all these things could not have served the general and particular nature, had the Creator not suspended and withdrawn to himself, for a time, the powers he had given to his first man in his state of justice. The change that was made in Adam, from the body of glory to a body of terrestrial matter, announced the new laws the Creator would give him when he should be reconciled. It is at the time of that reconciliation that the Creator blessed him a second time, pardoned his fault, but restored to him only a power inferior to that which he possessed before his crime up to his reconciliation. This, moreover, is clearly and physically represented to you in sensible nature by the different laws that Moses brought down from the mountain. Moses did not give to the people of Israel the first tables of the law; the prevarication of that people engaged Moses to break those tables and thereby to deprive the Israelites of that divine law which they desired to receive with so much ardour. Moses, after this event, is reconciled with his people and promises them a second law from the Eternal: a law which he gave them according as it pleased the Eternal to grant it in favour
