Green Jade Mind

Bodhisattva Service

Use headphones, and keep the volume gentle — the beat is made by giving each ear a different tone, so speakers cannot produce it. And before you begin: if you live with a serious medical or psychological condition — epilepsy or a seizure disorder in particular, where rhythmic sound and light can be a trigger — speak to a professional first. This practice is not a treatment, and nothing here replaces care. Stop if it disturbs rather than settles you.

The practice

Not meditation on a cushion: service in the world. Teaching. Healing. Organizing. Creating. Whatever your gifts are, now perfected through Clear Light wisdom. The heart frequencies (528 Hz with 639 Hz) return for their third and final sounding: the only triple test in the architecture, Steps 2, 6, and 11: compassion examined at full charge.

What this step means

After Clear Light, the jade consciousness of Step 6 returns, but now as mind, not form: Bodhisattva consciousness, enlightenment dedicated to universal benefit, compassion inseparable from wisdom. The teaching names the two mistakes available after awakening. The first: staying in transcendence — the world is illusion, why engage? — spiritual bypass, subtle abandonment. The second: losing transcendence — that experience was temporary, back to ordinary life — spiritual amnesia, wasted realization. Green Jade Mind is the third way: transcendent and engaged; enlightened and compassionate; Clear Light expressed through form. Avalokiteshvara; Chesed, loving-kindness in action; the Perfect Human.

The nervous system holds high charge, grief and conflict without fleeing, and service comes from openness, not obligation.

Reading alongside: the Thread's exemplars of realized service, which give service its concrete content.

Signs of integration

Effortless action. Spontaneous compassion. Perfect response to situations: perfect not by ambition but by fit. Tireless service without burnout; full presence in difficulty; others experience you as a stable, warm point of reference.

Constitutional dosage

Electric (Vata): grounding, longer exhales, slow progression

Service can scatter and deplete you faster than any obstacle on the path. Guard the practice hours that make the service possible; ground between engagements; the longer exhale between meetings is a complete practice.

Magnetic (Kapha): activation, stronger breath, vigorous

Service can mechanize: the rounds made, the boxes ticked, the heart absent. Keep breath and body vigorous so the giving stays alive; vary the forms of service before they calcify.

Neutral (Pitta): cooling, even ratios, guard rails

Service can become empire. Cooling practice; even ratios of giving and receiving; the guard rail: regularly serve where no one reports to you and no metric improves.

Three constitutions, three dosages — take the assessment and the archive will mark yours on every step.

When it goes wrong

Martyrdom is the signature failure: service that consumes the server signals a heart integration still incomplete; the third return exists precisely to catch it. Bypass wears service clothing too: perpetual retreat from difficult particular people into love for humanity in general. And the household remains the honest test it was at Step 2: if practice estranges you from those nearest, the jade is not yet mind. Presence at your own table is the credential.

Go further

This step, in three layers

The plates and yantras are embellished: original artwork interpreting graded findings and the step’s teaching.

  • The order of colours, the claimed inner states and their durations are the tradition's own teaching. No study has tested them.
  • The constant 7 Hz binaural beat sits at the theta–alpha border. Whether binaural beats entrain brain rhythm is unsettled: in a 2023 systematic review, 5 of 14 studies supported entrainment and 8 contradicted it (Ingendoh, Posny and Heine).
  • The plates are still images: nothing in this collection flickers. Flicker, where it is offered, is a separate layer for Scholars, off by default and behind a warning.

3 Key, flicker & yantra Scholar

Beyond the plate, Scholars hold each step’s key, its flicker and its yantra, leading to the one yantra.
