HIGHER ASPECTS OF SPIRITUALISM. By M. A.

(Oxon.) i2mo, cloth, 3*. 6d.

Dealing with the present position and future needs of Spiritualism in England, and with Spiritualism in some of its religious aspects. The author complains that “ neither our great London circulating library, nor the great firm that supplies the travelling public with literature at the railway stations throughout the kingdom, will give any publicity to works on Spiritualism The two great centres for the dissemination of English works do their best to stifle Spiritualism. It is well,’’ continues the author, “ that this unique fact should be placed on record.”

“M. A. (Oxon.)” is well known as the most scholarly and the most temperate advocate of Spiritualism in England.

PSYCHOMETRY. The Soul of Things ; or, Psychometric

Researches and Discoveries. By Wm. and Eliz. Denton. In 3 vols., each vol. complete in itself. Post 8vo, cloth, 7 s. 6d. per vol.

Vol. I. Pictures on the retina and brain, and on surrounding objects — Questions, considerations, and suggestions. Vol. II. Geographical and archaeological examinations. Vol. III. Geological and astronomical examinations.

A most important work, showing how objects are seen psychometrically, and displaying the utility of psychometry to the geologist, the paleontologist, the miner, the astronomer, the physiologist, and the anatomist. The extraordinary statements made by the authors have certainly been strengthened by time and recent discoveries, and probably the further revelations of science will demonstrate the truth of what in these volumes may still be regarded by some as wild and improbable.

Author, and Notes by the Editor. By Francois Lenormant.
8vo, cloth, 4 s. 6d.

Chaldea was the home of Magic, Astrology, and every kind of Occult Science. M. Lenormant has translated the curious incantations in the cuneiform character which perhaps more than anything else throw light on the subject, and compared them with the Egyptian hieroglyphics on the Ritual of the Dead, which consisted in great part of magical rites. He also links to his main theme the Necromancy and Demonology of the Finns and Tartars, who were probably of kindred race to the Accadians. In short, he has produced a work of deep research and insight on a matter concerning which there was formerly little definite information.
