2S∴I∴ — Having studied, in previous articles, the influences of the Signs of the Zodiac Aries and Taurus, we shall now see that of: GEMINI or The Twins. J. Burgoyne, the Rosicrucian author of "The Light of Egypt" [Sic: the original prints "Burgoynes".], tells us that the symbol of Gemini, under its symbolic aspect, represents unity and the force of union in action, as well as the truths inherent in union.
3The two brilliant stars Castor and Pollux represent the twin souls.
4The Greek myth of Castor and Pollux avenging the abduction of Helen is nothing but the repetition of the biblical history of Simeon and Levi massacring the men of Shechem on account of the offence done to their sister Dinah by the son of Hamor.
5Kabbalistically, the sign of the Twins represents the hands and arms of the Grand Man of the Universe, and therefore they express the "projecting" and executive forces of humanity in all mechanical activities.
6On the esoteric planisphere this sign is occupied by Simeon and Levi: "They are brethren", says Jacob, "and instruments of cruelty are in their habitation" — which refers, without doubt, to the terribly powerful faculties of projection of all who are under the influence of this sign.
7The mystic symbol of the Twins encloses the doctrine of twin souls and other important truths related to it.
8The mystic gem of this sign is the beryl — which means crystal — and it therefore forms the talismanic stone of those born with the Twins in the ascendant.
9This powerful sign constitutes the first and most elevated emanation of the trigon or triplicity of Air, and is the constellation of Mercury.
10On the intellectual Plane, Gemini signifies the union of reason and intuition, and those under its dominion express the most elevated intellectual state of incarnate humanity.

12Their magnetic sphere is very susceptible to receiving the influence of the inspiring currents.

16On the physical Plane, the Twins grant a tall and straight body, sanguine complexion, dark hair, greyish or rather light chestnut eyes, a penetrating gaze, a lively and active walk and gestures.
17In their tendency, those born under this sign, and in the whole Air trigon, are versatile and changeable.
18They have a scientific tendency and a passion for the acquisition of every type of knowledge; nevertheless they are not constant, and rarely study the same thing closely and for a long time; they have a contemplative tendency, as well as an extremely developed imagination.

"Secrets of Polichinelle" — the essay names Martinism's own mirror rite while dismissing conventional secrecy: continuous with the June reforms' de-masonisation (Nº 26) and their public announcement; this is the reform's theology.

A search of the entire reader corpus returns this passage and no other: OTOKO MASARE is a single attestation across all 46 issues and every book in the estate. The name is recorded here as it stands, with no biography attached to it, because the corpus supplies none. The H.A.B.M. itself appears 21 times — almost always in the masthead's list of fraternal orders.
