Practical Course of Judicial Astrology (Continuation) — Teachings of Surya, S∴I∴ — The study of the "why" of the colours, numbers, perfumes, metals and stones corresponding to given Signs and Planets would carry us far beyond what we should treat in this elementary course.
Enough to know that such correspondences have been determined by two principal means: one, the direct vision of the "aura" that this or that physical object has; the other, the "analogy" those bodies present, in their physical form or their properties, with the Sign or Planet to which they have been attributed — verifiable, for the esoterist observer, in the details of their physical texture: what is called the astral "signature".
For example, sad plants, greyish in colour, of disagreeable odour, etc., are "Saturnian"; those with tiny flowers of lively, varied or changing colours, etc., are Mercurial, etc.; and in practice it is verified that, whether for therapeutic or for "talismanic" ends, these correspondences have shown themselves to have a basis of reality which the chemical study of the composition of those bodies could confirm in part, but not completely — since with human beings the same occurs: certain persons have more active secretions precisely of the organs that answer to their natal chart, so that to think they have such a temperament because they have such a secretion is "thinking backwards": the truth is they have that secretion, or the lack of it, because they have that basic tendency, which astrology demonstrates.
The same occurs with the beings of the other kingdoms.
That already shows an "affinity", likeness or analogy, which is the key of this table of colours, perfumes, metals and plants — not complete, containing some of the correspondences, for example and usual practice.
When we make the study of each Sign and Planet, we shall find more details on the same subject.
