10Aunque casi todos vosotros conocéis la vida de los martinistas más importantes, no es inoportuno hacer un resumen rápido de la vida de los dos que he citado en el principio de este artículo y decir también, qué importancia tiene la conmemoración de los Martinistas Desconocidos.

2Readers, even if they were not Martinists, will doubtless draw some teaching from reading the documents that show the activity of an Initiatic Order in all its aspects, from the material to the spiritual.

8You all know, dear brothers, that the 21st of February is for all Martinists a most important day, being simultaneously the date on which we commemorate the disincarnation of the Venerable Master Jean Baptiste Willermoz, the collaboration of all the Unknown Martinists, and also the passing of the Grand
9Master Jean Bricaud.
10Although almost all of you know the lives of the more important Martinists, it is not out of place to give a rapid summary of the lives of the two I have named at the beginning of this article, and to say also what importance the commemoration of the Unknown Martinists has.

"1872 – CEDAIOR – 1943." The founder of the South American Martinist Order died on 22 January 1943, three weeks before this number went out, and the magazine announces it in five lines with the biography promised for the next issue. Nº 9 p. 2, printed the month before, had described him installing the Kabbalistic Order of the Rose-Cross at Curitiba in 1927 and continuing as its President "in Active Silence". This is the last issue in which he is written of as living.
The 21st of February carries three commemorations at once — Willermoz, the Unknown Martinists, and Bricaud — and the issue gives one article to each. It is the only number in the run built entirely around a single date.
