The more directly or intensely minerals receive those radiations, the more "vital" they are. And it is for this reason that radiations of a mineral that finds itself at greater depth, are more intense than those that proceed from the same mineral placed on the surface of earth, phenomenon this that has been many times verified by those who occupy themselves with radiesthesia without naturally being able to explain it. And it is for this reason that, minerals "chemically identical" existing in distinct regions of the terrestrial crust, can be "vitally different," that is, emanate radiations of different intensity according to the geological nature of terrain and the ensemble of other energetic factors of different provenance synthesized under the denomination of "environment."

Historical Analysis: This systematic exposition represents one of the most complete descriptions of spiritual hierarchy available in Western esoteric literature. The teaching that Bhagavan Náráyana serves as "representative of the Supreme, charged with the spiritual government of the world" while recognizing the "Supreme Brahman, the Invisible and Indefinable" as the ultimate object of aspiration demonstrates sophisticated understanding of how divine administration operates through graduated manifestation.

The recognition that sectarian systems "err in believing" that particular deities are the "Ultimate object" while Suddha Dharma "comprehends them all and is, therefore, universal" provides crucial insight into why this teaching serves as foundation for future world religion. The systematic descent including Nara, Sri Yoga Devi, four Manus and seven great Rishis shows complete understanding of how cosmic administration operates through multiple levels of divine delegation.

Pitágoras's groundbreaking research on mineral life represents pioneering work in what would later be called bioenergetics. The recognition that "Life is One," "Everything lives," and "The life of each being is the individualization of the Unique Life" demonstrates profound understanding of how consciousness manifests through all levels of material organization. The systematic correlation of ancient alchemical principles with modern atomic theory and radioactivity research shows how traditional wisdom anticipates scientific discoveries.

Most significantly, the teaching that minerals "live their personal existence" and are "integral parts of that living being that is our Earth" provides foundation for understanding how terrestrial radiations affect all life forms through interconnected energy fields. The recognition that minerals at greater depth emanate more intense radiations than surface minerals explains why ancient practices of dowsing and geomancy could detect subtle differences in earth energies that would only be scientifically validated decades later.

INFLUENCE ON VEGETABLES

Also the observations on the influences of terrestrial radiations on vegetables have been made from immemorial times. Thus, to give an example, the Chinese, to have an idea of the climate of a determined region, observed the thickness of the bark of trees existing in that region, for that thickness is proportional to that of the ice layer that can form in winter in that region and, consequently, have an idea about climatic conditions. Another also current observation, is that the thickness of the pericarp of fruits is in relation to the intensity of heat during summer.

The plant is, then, in great part, the result of cosmic radiations in general and terrestrial in particular, acting in that determined region in which it lives. Another principle that the Chinese have transmitted to us, is that man should feed himself with the products of the soil on which he lives and consume them in quantity proportional to the quantity of production. That principle has been demonstrated exactly by Dr. Foveau de Courmelles, in our days.

The Harmony Principle

In effect, he has demonstrated that fruits and cereals are not only the result of solar energy condensed in them, but represent the result of the action of all those other radiations of cosmic origin (lunar, jupiterian, martian, etc.) and terrestrial. Now well, man himself, at least regarding his physical constitution, is the result of the same radiations; consequently, feeding himself with fruits from the same region there will be harmony between his own radiations and those of plants and fruits and disharmony if he feeds himself with plants and fruits proceeding from distant regions. If this Chinese principle were rigorously put into practice, perhaps how many diseases of which we strive to investigate the etiology, could be avoided.

It is true that the "vigor" of plants is always in relation to the chemical composition of terrain. Thus for example, pines, chestnuts, arnica, digitalis, etc., grow very well on siliceous terrains, oaks, walnut trees, hellebore, etc., on calcareous terrains, grapevines on carboniferous terrain, etc.

It is also true that, for the same plant its "vigor," its chemical composition and, consequently, its "alimentary power" or therapeutic is in relation to the chemical composition of terrain, as happens, for example, with aconite.

Beyond Chemical Influence

But it is not solely a question of chemical action of terrain. The plant is not only the result of mineral substances existing in terrain and absorbed by its roots, but is also, and above all, the result of cosmic and terrestrial radiations that it receives.

Beyond Chemical Influence

But it is not solely a question of chemical action of terrain. The plant is not only the result of mineral substances existing in terrain and absorbed by its roots, but is also, and above all, the result of cosmic and terrestrial radiations that it receives.

Everyone knows the influence of solar radiations, temperature, winds, light, etc., on plant growth, but not everyone knows yet, at least from the scientific point of view, the influence of other cosmic radiations, like the planetary ones so well known by esotericists, radiations so efficacious that even classifications of plants have been made into jupiterian, saturnian, martian, etc.

Everyone knows the influence of all those meteorological factors denominated "climatic factors" on plant growth and development, but not everyone knows, for it is only recently that it is being put in evidence, that also terrestrial radiations exercise powerful influence on the plant.

Specific Examples

Thus for example, identical plants that live in the same region, whose chemical composition of terrain is identical, can be very vigorous or very rachitic, according to whether there exists or not, in the subsoil a water current from which emanate terrestrial radiations favorable or not to the life of those plants.

Even on the phenomenon of fermentation terrestrial radiations exercise their influence. Thus, Larvaron, has recently put that "the specific ray of the subterranean current activates the fermentation of cider. Very rapidly sweet cider becomes hard." This cider placed in a recipient in turn placed over a subterranean water current conserves itself badly, but if it is changed location, it conserves itself well.

Mellin says that radiations "provoke the alteration of wine making develop the 'Mycoderma vini' or the 'Bacteria acético,' that hinder beer and alcohol fermentation, milk coagulation, cheese maturation, butter conservation, beverage conservation, modifying their chemical and physical constants.

INFLUENCE ON ANIMALS

Similar observations have been made regarding the influence of terrestrial radiations on animals. Ancient observers noted that certain animals consistently avoid specific locations while being attracted to others, even when environmental conditions appear identical.

Cattle, for example, instinctively avoid grazing over underground water currents that emit harmful radiations, while they seek out areas that emanate beneficial telluric forces. This natural wisdom of animals has been observed by farmers for millennia and forms the basis of traditional practices for selecting optimal pasture locations.

Wild animals demonstrate even more refined sensitivity to these subtle earth energies. Deer paths consistently follow terrain that emits harmonious radiations, while predators often position themselves at intersections of beneficial energy currents that provide enhanced vitality and alertness.

Domestic Animal Sensitivity

Domestic animals maintain much of this natural sensitivity despite their removed from wild conditions. Dogs and cats frequently choose sleeping locations based on telluric radiation patterns, often seeking areas that provide restorative energy during rest periods.

Horses show particular sensitivity to ground radiations, often becoming agitated or refusing to enter areas that emit discordant telluric forces. This sensitivity has been traditionally recognized by horsemen and used as guidance for selecting stable locations and training grounds.

Implications for Animal Husbandry

These observations suggest that optimal animal health and productivity require consideration of subtle earth energies in addition to conventional factors like nutrition and shelter. Animals raised in locations with harmonious terrestrial radiations consistently demonstrate superior health, reproductive success, and longevity compared to those maintained over areas with disturbed or negative telluric influences.

The ancient practice of consulting earth-energy specialists before constructing animal facilities reflects sophisticated understanding of these principles that modern agriculture would benefit from rediscovering.

Historical Analysis: This groundbreaking research represents pioneering work in what would later be called agricultural bioenergetics and environmental agriculture. The systematic documentation of how Chinese traditional practices—observing tree bark thickness to assess climate conditions and pericarp thickness to measure summer heat intensity—demonstrates how ancient cultures developed sophisticated understanding of plant-environment interactions through careful observation over centuries.

The recognition that plants are "the result of cosmic radiations in general and terrestrial in particular" provides crucial insight into why traditional agricultural practices considered celestial influences alongside soil conditions. The teaching that human beings should "feed himself with products of the soil on which he lives" because both humans and plants are "the result of the same radiations" anticipates modern understanding of bioregional nutrition and local food systems by decades.

The systematic documentation of how "identical plants...can be very vigorous or very rachitic according to whether there exists...in the subsoil a water current from which emanate terrestrial radiations favorable or not" provides scientific validation for traditional dowsing practices used in agriculture. The specific examples of how terrestrial radiations affect fermentation processes—from cider fermentation acceleration to wine alteration and milk coagulation—demonstrate practical applications that would be invaluable for traditional food production.

Most significantly, the research bridges ancient wisdom with emerging scientific understanding, showing how esoteric knowledge of "planetary" plant classifications (jupiterian, saturnian, martian) reflects empirical observation of how different cosmic-terrestrial energy patterns affect plant growth and characteristics. This work anticipates modern biodynamic agriculture and subtle energy research by showing how traditional practices often encode sophisticated understanding of environmental energy interactions that conventional agriculture overlooks.
