One moment.

1Report of the President of the Grand Council of the Martinist Order of South America.
2Venerable Brothers: I address you thus, without distinguishing functions or degrees, since what really matters is that we be venerable brothers — that is, venerable by our very veneration for the Ideal, for the Masters and for ourselves, which our acts and our activity must authenticate.
3The rest is secondary.
4The year 1943 has ended.
5I owe you the customary annual report. [Sic: the original prints "velatorio" (wake) for "relatorio" (report).]
6I shall be extremely concise, since everything of importance I might have to say on the initiatic plane is something I prefer not to write, but rather to try to live, and to have you live it with me.
7During 1943 the Grand Council worked hard; the protocol shows us the reception or dispatch of some two thousand documents during the year — almost six per day — and you know that many of them are long letters of instructions, teachings or organisational questions.
8Br∴ Pitágoras and I attended to the greater part.
9The temporal administration of the Order has rested entirely on the inexhaustible activity of Br∴ Surya, and notwithstanding the natural difficulties of an Order of relatively new organisation, in full growth, the balance-sheet to be published in due course shows how that Brother knew how to balance the budget admirably, keeping the Review, the Gidee and all the other realisations in progress.
10The financial effort has been enormous, and I must make particular mention of the spirit of sacrifice of the Martinist Members of the Gidee and sympathisers of Uruguay and Buenos Aires, who have been admirable from every point of view.
11The numerical growth of the Order during the year was 31 % with respect to the number of members it had at the end of 1943. [Sic: the sense requires "at the end of 1942".]
12Moreover several Delegations and Corporations were created in various countries of the Continent.
13From this particular point of view, things have proceeded normally.
14The realisations of a cultural character that the Order succeeded in making effective, directly or indirectly, were several and beautiful: creation of "Gidee" in La Plata and in Buenos Aires (autonomous, but born of the Martinist impulse).
15Translation and publication of several fundamental works of great Martinists: Eliphas Levi, Sédir, Sévaka and others, whose translations were made by Martinist Brothers and Sisters who, even while having to attend to all the activities of their family, professional and social life, found the will and the time to make them with great love.
16The works of the Martinist Corporations in general have been characterised by a greater regularity of attendance, by a more methodised study and by beautiful results which may be classified in the following manner: · 4

Masthead stereotype carried from Nº 21 — the year's staffing now stable.
A new department appears in the SUMARIO: a Philosophical and Scientific Part, inaugurated by an outside contributor (Mario Antonioletti) — the first named author from outside the masthead since the run began.
The annual report, 1943: ~2,000 documents through the Grand Council's protocol ("almost six per day"), 31% membership growth, budget balanced by Surya, new Delegations across the Continent, and translations of Lévi, Sédir and Sévaka published by member translators. The run's most complete administrative self-portrait.
Written 31-12-1943: "1944… will also be the end of the great fratricidal physical trial. But the MORAL trial will continue." — the report predicts the war's end for the coming year, framed as the change of vibratory keynote the Fraternities awaited. The run's most direct wartime utterance, and a dated, checkable prophecy.
Papus's coachman analogy (coachman/horse/coach = spirit/life/body, each ternary) performs the 9→7 reduction: when the coachman mounts and takes the reins, two pairs fuse. The source is the Gurdjieffian-sounding image's older home — it is Papus's, taken in turn from the Vedantic chariot of the Katha Upanishad.
The correspondence table is photographed straight out of Papus's book (the folio 554 is visible in the plate) rather than reset in type — the review's physical dependence on its Paris library made visible. Extracted to the imagery layer; the seven names in five traditions (Ka/Atma/Wun/Yeshida …) transcribed on the face.

"The mental plane is the domain of 'Logic' par excellence, and therefore of error… the only true and living thing is the heart" — Papus's anti-rationalism stated at maximum strength, and made the doctrinal ground for the dietetics that follow: logic alone about diet "leads to talking nonsense" because it forgets air and sensations, the two other foods.
Venus as "the proud Lucifer… precursor and genius of wisdom" — Burgoyne's morning-star reading keeps the pre-Christian valence of the name; Anael, prince of the astral light, with Isis/Luna as the fluid at rest and in movement.
The worked-example list again names the collectivity's own: Asuri Kapila, Leona Constantia, Lorelair, Ragón, Giordano born under Venusian signs — including the just-departed secretary and a name (Ragón) not on the masthead; the editors keep disclosing their own natal data as teaching material.
Postures 6–10 complete the M.S.P.: the new plate (Fig. 17) carries the serpent and mountain; postures 8–10 are the mirror return through Fig. 16's positions — the ten-movement cycle closes exactly as the Nº 20 caption promised.

The complete protocol: one salutation in twenty seconds, rest for a count of seven, OM after each; 21 daily for healthy adults (7+7+7), 12–16 for children, 15 for the elderly, entry at six per day — with sun, dry towel and an almond-oil spinal friction to close. The run's praxis at its most prescriptive.
The second surviving asana plate (Fig. Nº 17): postures six and seven — cobra and mountain — completing the visual record the Nº 20 plate began. Extracted to the imagery layer.

Chitta and vrittis put to dietetic use: mental matter "charged with dense atoms" by bad food — Patañjali's vocabulary bent through the Theosophical vehicle-doctrine (Vital Body, Desire Body, aura) that this series has been assembling.
The Gita's three-food doctrine quoted at length and cited "Cap. XVIII, 8-10" — the passage is XVII.8-10; the slip is glossed on the face. The sattva/rajas/tamas classification is then read as a complete dietetics: milk, fruit and cereals sattvic; eggs, fish and meats rajasic; pork, fowl and fermented dishes tamasic.
Next number promises the case against meat — the vegetarian argument the whole series has been building towards.
The purge announced in Nº 21 lands: 94 → 77 disciples at year-end (Argentina 39, Brazil 13, Uruguay 25 — Brazil halved), and the full-year funnel published with actuarial candour: 159 invited in all, 77 practising, the heaviest attrition in the first exercise, 8 reaching the fifth.

"The heart is the bow and the mantram is the arrow" — the teaching Being's formula, from the Suddha diaries. The seven lettered examples (A–G) are the run's first publication of raw practice records: apparitional instruction, the mattress with wool-worms, etheric ritual objects, the solar-system vision keyed to Sirius, congregational telepathy.
Disciple "X"'s vision — the Sun drawn towards Sirius and another invisible centre — is noted by the editor as matching "secret teachings of the Rose Cross" the disciple did not know: the corroboration-by-ignorance argument the era's occult orders prized.
Year-end blessing dated 31-12-1943, wishing some readers the "Great Promises" that open definitive entry to the Work — the Suddha column and the President's report were written the same night, and read as a diptych.
Antonioletti's debut essay works from economic statistics (840 million tons of yearly produce) to Francis of Assisi, the four-element cross, and the bee — a scientific-devotional register new to the run, matching the new department's name.
The fleur-de-lys traced from Bourbon insignia to the Boy Scouts and to Ortega y Gasset's Truth-Goodness-Beauty — the essay's modernity is itself notable: scouting and contemporary Spanish philosophy cited beside the Sephirothic tree.
The Magdalene rose-legend (the red rose flowering on the cross at Tiberias, at the Crucified's heart-side) given as the emblem of doctrine perpetually re-flowering after persecution — a Rosicrucian etiology told as hagiography.
Kapila's hymn to hands — dated 27 August 1943 "of the E∴C∴" (Era Cristiana) — dedicates the poem to the hands of the Masters and closes on Isaiah's swords-into-ploughshares; a typo prints "poemas inmorales" for "inmortales", glossed on the face.
The poem's ending — "when they transform the sword into a plough… the World shall be saved" — printed in February 1944, joins the annual report's war-end prophecy as the number's second pacifist utterance.
Prospectus and advertisements repeat the standing stereotype.
