### Willermozist Strategy: The Secret Plan for Spiritual Infiltration (1776-1778)
**By Pitágoras, S.I.**
## THE EXPANSION OF THE SINCERITÉ LODGE (1776)
**1776** — Due to the activity of the Marquis of la Serraz, assisted by Marc Revoire and Joseph Daquin, many persons of high social position—nobles, officers, lawyers, physicians, members of the Senate, etc.—were initiated in 1776 in the lodge [translate:La Sincerité] of Chambéry. Among them we mention Pierre de Montfort, Bernard des Maisons, Senator Hippolyte Deville de la Millatière, lawyer Jean Baptiste, Count of Salteur, and the great French writer Joseph de Maistre, brother of that other great writer who was Xavier de Maistre.
**May 31** — The tireless activity of Jean Baptiste Willermoz in Strict Observance had not diminished his activity in French Masonry and, indeed, after some months of negotiations with the Grand Orient of France—negotiations in which Bacon de la Chevalerie and Abbé Rozier played an important role—a treaty of union was concluded on May 31 between the Grand Orient of France and the three Directories of the three French Provinces (Lyon, Bordeaux and Strasbourg) of Strict Observance. In said treaty, signed by the Duke of Chartres, the Grand Orient recognized Strict Observance.
In said treaty, signed by the Duke of Chartres, the Grand Orient recognized Strict Observance.
Due to the incompatibility existing between the principles of French Masonry and those of Strict Observance, however, it was not possible, despite the signed treaty, to obtain a true fraternal understanding. The struggles and dissensions continued thus for a long time until, after many negotiations, it was possible, in the second half of 1779, to make union and peace reign between the lodges of the different systems. In the performance of all these harmonizing negotiations the Martinists Jean Baptiste Willermoz, Paganucci, Bacon de la Chevalerie, Abbé Rozier, Belz and Perisse Du Luc distinguished themselves.
**December** — After the death of Baron de Weiler in Turin on November 19, 1775, through whom relations were maintained between the Grand Provincial Chapter of Lyon and the Grand Master of the Order, Duke Ferdinand of Brunswick, these continued through Baron Charles de Hundt, until the end of 1776, year in which, due to his death in Melrichstadt, they continued through Christian Ehrbrecht, Baron of Durkeim, minister of the ducal court of Saxe-Meningen and Commissioner of the Chapter of the Province of Bourgogne.
## THE COLLAPSE OF STRICT OBSERVANCE (1777)
**1777 — February** — In a congress held in this month, promoted by the Duke of Brunswick and attended by the Duke of Saxe and 24 other brothers, it was resolved, among other things, the adhesion of the Illuminati of Sweden to Strict Observance.
**March** — Despite the rapid progress of Strict Observance in Europe, many dissensions and struggles between the members of the Order and profanes, and of the same members among themselves, provoked little by little a slow disintegration and decadence of the Order. Ferdinand of Brunswick strove, convening meeting after meeting, to achieve, if not the cohesion that was lacking, at least a little order and tranquility, and it is for this reason that, in this month, he had manifested his desire to J.B. Willermoz, through Baron of Durkeim, that the brothers of France should gather in a national congress, during which the French provinces would elect their Grand Master and try to resolve all internal affairs, thus preparing to participate in a future general congress of the Order.
## WILLERMOZ'S STRATEGIC PLANNING (1778)
## WILLERMOZ'S STRATEGIC PLANNING (1778)
**1778 — August 28** — J.B. Willermoz, after this request from the Duke of Brunswick and the reiterated insistences of the Count of Lutzelbourg, dean of the Chapter of Strasbourg, who believed it was extremely urgent to put order and make important resolutions, became convinced that, indeed, it was indispensable to convoke a national congress; all the more so since he had already for some time been awaiting a propitious occasion to carry out a vast program that he silently cherished. In an important session held on August 28, 1778, he exposed to the brothers of the Grand Chapter of the Province of Auvergne the situation of the Order, and manifested the reasons that advised the convocation, in Lyon, of a national congress in which all the French provinces should participate. All agreed and decided to convoke said congress, which was denominated Grand Congress of Gauls, for October 28, 1778.
---
Before continuing in our chronological exposition and occupying ourselves with this Congress and the results obtained in it, it is necessary to open a parenthesis to expose what were the secret designs that J.B. Willermoz desired to realize.
It was not solely the aspirations to put order and consolidate the organization of Strict Observance that made him take the resolution to convoke the congress. For a long time Jean Baptiste had cherished the project of **infusing into Masonry the doctrinal content of the Order of the Elect Cohens**, and only awaited patiently for the opportunity to present itself. That opportunity finally presented itself in 1778 and he, as we shall see, very skillfully took advantage of it.
Already during the stay of Rodolfo Saltzmann in Lyon, between December 1777 and January 1778, Willermoz had communicated to him, in addition to the entire program of administrative and liturgical reform of the Order, that idea of his maintained in the most absolute secrecy for a long time, that is, that of **wanting to add a new degree to the symbolic ones that already existed, a degree in which the doctrine of Martines de Pasqually should be taught**. Rodolfo Saltzmann, a profoundly religious spirit and man of exemplary seriousness, Master of Novices in the Directory of the Chapter of Strasbourg, had gone to Lyon to treat with Willermoz all those modifications that it was convenient to bring to Strict Observance, both of administrative and liturgical character. Willermoz and Saltzmann understood each other perfectly and to such a point that Willermoz not only initiated him in the Order of the Elect Cohens, but communicated to him, as we have said, what it was that he proposed to achieve in the Congress of Gauls.
Willermoz and Saltzmann understood each other perfectly and to such a point that Willermoz not only initiated him in the Order of the Elect Cohens, but communicated to him, as we have said, what it was that he proposed to achieve in the Congress of Gauls.
From the conversations exchanged emerged an entire program of action to be realized. Willermoz would have helped Saltzmann and the brothers of Strasbourg to obtain the reforms of administrative and liturgical nature and Saltzmann, in turn, would have helped Willermoz to obtain the creation of the new degree.
## THE PROFESSION DEGREES
This degree, called [translate:Profesión] (Profession), in reality comprised two: [translate:Caballero Profesó] (Knight Professed) and [translate:Gran Profesó] (Grand Professed). In it Willermoz proposed to teach "the scientific part relative to primitive Masonry." Indeed, and as we have said, this "scientific part" was none other than the doctrine of Reintegration of Martines de Pasqually, doctrine that was already taught in the elevated degrees of the Cohens. It was, therefore, **the skillful incorporation into the Templar Freemasonry of Hundt, of the doctrine of the Cohens**; it was to constitute in the bosom of said Masonry an "elite" integrated by select spirits worthy of being able to know and understand the doctrine that, in hermetic form, was taught in the Cohen Chapters. It was, in a word, **the continuation of the Order of the Elect Cohens in Strict Observance, the beginning of the Willermozist movement**.

### THE DEEPER SIGNIFICANCE OF WILLERMOZIST STRATEGY
This remarkable documentation reveals how authentic spiritual transmission adapts to changing historical circumstances while preserving essential teachings. Willermoz's strategic genius lay in recognizing that the Cohen teachings could be preserved and transmitted through existing Masonic structures when the original Order became unsustainable.
**The Principle of Adaptive Transmission**: The creation of the Profession degrees demonstrates how living spiritual traditions maintain continuity by finding new vehicles rather than clinging to obsolete forms. This adaptive capacity distinguishes authentic transmission from mere historical preservation.
**The Elite Formation Strategy**: The plan to create a spiritual "elite" within conventional Masonry reveals understanding that transformation occurs through prepared individuals who can maintain higher knowledge while working within existing institutions. This approach ensures both preservation and practical influence.
**The Hermetic Method**: The reference to teaching Cohen doctrine "in hermetic form" shows how esoteric knowledge adapts its presentation to different audiences while maintaining essential content. This prevents both profanation of sacred teachings and exclusion of sincere seekers.
**The Hermetic Method**: The reference to teaching Cohen doctrine "in hermetic form" shows how esoteric knowledge adapts its presentation to different audiences while maintaining essential content. This prevents both profanation of sacred teachings and exclusion of sincere seekers.
**The Institutional Synthesis**: The merger of Cohen theurgy with Templar organization creates a synthesis that preserves the practical magical methods while providing institutional stability and social respectability.
### THE HISTORICAL VALIDATION
The success of this strategy proves the validity of Willermoz's approach. The Scottish Rectified Rite that emerged from the Grand Congress of Gauls would become the most enduring form of 18th-century esoteric Masonry, surviving into the 21st century while maintaining authentic spiritual content.
**Political Timing**: Willermoz's recognition that political necessity (the Duke of Brunswick's request for organizational reform) could provide cover for spiritual transformation demonstrates sophisticated understanding of how esoteric work operates through apparently secular opportunities.
**Personal Preparation**: The long period of "silent cherishing" of the project shows how authentic spiritual work requires extensive preparation before opportune moments for manifestation arise. This patience distinguishes genuine spiritual strategy from mere opportunism.
**Collaborative Development**: The partnership with Saltzmann demonstrates how authentic esoteric work develops through cooperation between individuals with complementary abilities rather than through single personalities working in isolation.
### THE CONTEMPORARY RELEVANCE
This historical example provides guidance for how authentic spiritual teachings can maintain influence within contemporary institutions:
1. **Strategic Patience**: Waiting for appropriate opportunities rather than forcing premature manifestation
2. **Institutional Adaptation**: Finding existing structures that can serve spiritual purposes rather than creating entirely new organizations
3. **Elite Development**: Focusing on preparing qualified individuals rather than attempting mass conversion
4. **Synthetic Approach**: Combining complementary elements from different traditions rather than maintaining artificial separation
5. **Hermetic Presentation**: Adapting teaching methods to audience capabilities while preserving essential content
This model shows how esoteric knowledge can maintain practical relevance and social influence without compromising its essential character—the hallmark of authentic spiritual transmission operating through changing historical circumstances.

We will study today the influences of the 12th zodiacal sign:
## PISCES OR THE FISHES
This sign symbolizes the flood, principally because when the Sun passes through this constellation the rainy season begins (in the Northern hemisphere), washing the snows of winter which, upon melting, transform into torrents that flood the valleys and low regions. This sign is also the term of Apollo's journey through the twelve signs.
"Near their beloved waves remain the cold fishes, they join with the Ram and complete the cycle."
Kabbalistically, the sign of Pisces indicates the feet of the Great Cosmic Man, and for this reason represents the base or foundation of all external things, as well as the mechanical forces of humanity. It is the natural emblem of patient servitude and of obedience. On the esoteric planisphere, this sign is occupied by Ephraim and Manasseh, the two sons of Joseph, who received their portion in Israel, as being the two feet of the Great Archetypal Man. Such sign also indicates to us the divine project of the great heaven of necessity, initiated with the eruptive, dazzling and dominant fire of Aries, to terminate in the opposite pole, water, symbol of universal equilibrium. The mystical gem of Pisces is chrysolite (white and refulgent). Pisces is the last emanation of the Water trigon and the domicile of Neptune (and that of Jupiter in nocturnal birth according to traditional astrology).
On the intellectual plane, Pisces represents mental indifference. It is the opposite pole of the head. Those who are dominated by its influence manifest particular indifference toward all that generally interests others. They take all things that come, without paying attention to any. They live and die according to the words of Saint Paul: "being all things for all men."
On the physical plane, this sign gives a short body, with abundant flesh, dark hair, pale complexion, "humid" eyes somewhat dimmed, like those of fishes, a negative, timid, inoffensive and carefree character. It gives persons of peaceful nature, whose action is influenced by their friendships and by the environment. Among plants, this sign rules: all marine herbs, ferns and aquatic mosses. Among stones: coral, marine rock, pumice stone, sand and gravel. Such are the teachings that, on Pisces, J. Burgoyne, the Rosicrucian author of [translate:"Light of Egypt"] gives us.
### THE DECANATES OF PISCES IN THE ASCENDANT
**(According to Julevno)**
Among stones: coral, marine rock, pumice stone, sand and gravel. Such are the teachings that, on Pisces, J. Burgoyne, the Rosicrucian author of [translate:"Light of Egypt"] gives us.
### THE DECANATES OF PISCES IN THE ASCENDANT
**(According to Julevno)**
Pisces characterizes, in general mode, persons of medium or small stature, somewhat corpulent, with pale face, whose gaze is dimmed and as if sleepy, with chestnut hair. The arms and legs are usually short, the shoulders low and round and the constitution rather weak or sickly. The character oscillates from indolent to lazy, of little energy, liking comfort and rest. The person is of slow intelligence and with tendency toward drink. This sign governs the feet and is found under the domain of Jupiter and Neptune.
**The first decanate** (first 10 degrees) is ruled by Saturn and indicates a religious character, even fanatical, enthusiastic, but without practical activity. This decanate also prognosticates: false friends, difficulties and perturbations in position, preoccupations coming from children, danger of drowning, quarrels, premature death or grave illness of one of the person's relatives.
**The second decanate** (degrees 11 to 20) is under the influence of Jupiter and indicates: good, intelligent, very sympathetic person, but lacking constancy. This decanate usually provides a good situation, success, two marriages or inconstancy in marriage. It also indicates eminent friends, some distinctions, riches or gains through the person's position and merits.
**The third decanate** (degrees 21 to 30) is under the influence of Mars and indicates a variable character, timid at certain moments and audacious at others, easily influenced by the opposite sex; a religious, poetic and loving person, but inconstant.
It also indicates struggles and vicissitudes in fortune and position, help from powerful friends, perturbations in marriage and preoccupations through children; possible success in foreign country, but with constant danger.
### THE FACES OF PISCES
**(Divisions of 5 degrees) according to classical opinions, collected by Dr. Salmón, indicate:**
**FACE 1st** — (0° to 5°): Medium stature, strong shoulders, thin and elongated face, dark hair, sunken eyes, large nose, wide mouth and narrow or sharp chin. When Mars is found in this face, there is danger of smallpox marks. This face indicates diviners and prophets, according to the evolution that incarnates in it.
**FACE 2nd** — (6° to 10°): This face indicates a person of higher stature than the preceding one. The face is fuller, the complexion clearer and the aspect more agreeable. The hair is lighter chestnut, the eyebrows abundant, the mouth wide and the fingers, arms, legs and feet long. Mars in this face indicates smallpox marks, but grants good moral qualities, as well as aptitudes for magnetism.

**FACE 3rd** — (11° to 15°): Indicates person of more abundant flesh, more agreeable aspect, full and oval face, beautiful and broad eyebrows and developed forehead. Person of rather small stature; straight and not very thick of waist. If Saturn, Venus or the Dragon's Tail are found in this face, they will indicate a wandering, agitated, vagabond life and mediocre intelligence.
**FACE 4th** — (16° to 20°): Medium stature, elongated face with freckles, broad forehead and abundant eyebrows, small, dark or black eyes, narrow chin. The hair is black and sometimes wavy and the arms, hands and feet are small.
**FACE 5th** — (21° to 25°): Very well proportioned person, regular features, rounded face, grayish eyes, fleshy well-made nose, chin with dimple, good and smiling aspect and dark hair. The 25th degree makes the person paler and extremely amiable. The 22nd degree contains the fixed star Markab which announces violent accidents and wounds by fire, electricity or steam.
**FACE 6th** — (26° to 30°): Small, slight, weak or thin person. The face is marked by freckles or pimples and sometimes by granules; the complexion is dark and the hair is dark. This face contains the fixed star Scheat of Pegasus, which is violent, of Saturn's vibration and which prognosticates danger of death by water.
### INFLUENCES OF THE FACES OF PISCES IN THE ASCENDANT
**(According to old authors)**
**1st FACE**: Dexterous and ingenious person, lover of study, of arts or sciences, especially astronomy and astrology, in which they can distinguish themselves.
**2nd FACE**: Prudent, wise, intelligent, just and honest person, calm and who bears injuries with patience, but difficult to appease when they come to be prey to indignation or anger.
**3rd FACE**: Good, just and honest character, but if Saturn, Venus or the Dragon's Tail were present, there will be lack of will and energy.
**4th FACE**: Loyal, honest and serviceable person, of good judgment, good intelligence and inclined to the study of arts and sciences.
**5th FACE**: Affable, amiable and frank person, good with their friends but implacable with their enemies and who desires the good of human society.
**6th FACE**: Very intelligent person but somewhat rustic and pretentious, in continual dispute with those who do not share their opinions.
### THE FACES OF PISCES ON THE MIDHEAVEN
**FIRST**: Honors and popular consideration, vulgar and local fame. This is more clearly noted if Saturn or the Dragon's tail is found here, or if this place receives the opposition of Mars.
**SECOND**: Indicates a modest but happy situation during all life, with the consideration and esteem of those who surround them.
This is more clearly noted if Saturn or the Dragon's tail is found here, or if this place receives the opposition of Mars.
**SECOND**: Indicates a modest but happy situation during all life, with the consideration and esteem of those who surround them.
**THIRD**: Feminine tastes and disdain for serious occupations.
**FOURTH**: Religious elevation or position in the magistracy or similar.
**FIFTH**: Success through women or Church people.
**SIXTH**: Disgust, adversities and an existence full of obstacles and misery.
### THE ESOTERIC SIGNIFICANCE OF PISCES
Beyond the technical astrological correspondences, Pisces represents the principle of dissolution and completion in human consciousness. Its influence brings the capacity to release attachment to individual accomplishment in favor of universal service and surrender to divine will.
**The Feet of the Cosmic Man**: As the foundation of the Great Archetypal Man, Pisces energy provides the grounding necessary for spiritual consciousness to operate effectively in material existence. The "patient servitude and obedience" represent voluntary alignment with cosmic law rather than helpless submission.
**The Divine Equilibrium**: The description of Pisces as completing the divine project "initiated with the eruptive, dazzling and dominant fire of Aries, to terminate in the opposite pole, water, symbol of universal equilibrium" reveals the sign's function as the synthesis of all previous zodiacal experiences.
**The Flood Symbolism**: The association with flooding and the washing away of winter's accumulations represents the periodic cleansing necessary for renewal. This is not destruction but purification—the removal of what has served its purpose to make space for new growth.
**The Sons of Joseph**: The connection to Ephraim and Manasseh—who received their inheritance in Israel despite being born in Egypt—indicates Pisces' capacity to find spiritual fulfillment within material circumstances, transforming apparent exile into genuine belonging.
### THE SHADOW AND LIGHT ASPECTS
**Shadow Manifestation**: When operating from personality level, Pisces energy becomes escapist, passive, and prone to self-deception. The "mental indifference" and tendency toward intoxication represent consciousness seeking dissolution through unconsciousness rather than through spiritual surrender.
**Light Manifestation**: When operating from soul level, Pisces becomes the conscious mystic who serves as a clear channel for divine compassion. The capacity for divination and prophecy (Face 1) shows Pisces' natural connection to universal consciousness.
**The Variable Nature**: The oscillation between timidity and audacity (third decanate) reflects Pisces' sensitivity to environmental influences. This receptivity can manifest as weakness or as profound empathy, depending on the level of consciousness development.
### THE COMPLETION PRINCIPLE
**The Variable Nature**: The oscillation between timidity and audacity (third decanate) reflects Pisces' sensitivity to environmental influences. This receptivity can manifest as weakness or as profound empathy, depending on the level of consciousness development.
### THE COMPLETION PRINCIPLE
Pisces represents the culmination of the zodiacal journey where individual will dissolves into universal purpose. The "completion of the cycle" indicates not an ending but a preparation for renewed beginning at a higher level of integration.
The association with both Jupiter (traditional ruler) and Neptune (modern ruler) reveals the dual nature of Piscean spirituality: Jupiterian wisdom and understanding combined with Neptunian intuition and mystical experience.
Understanding Pisces influences provides guidance for recognizing when surrender serves spiritual evolution versus when it represents escape from necessary development, and how to channel the sign's natural receptivity toward authentic spiritual service rather than passive victimization.

## Is it Possible to Prolong Youth?
### The 22 Essential Elements: Alchemical Science for Longevity (Part 1)
**By Asuri Kapila S.I.**
### INTRODUCTION: THE SPIRITUAL ALCHEMY OF REGENERATION
**Is there a Spiritual Alchemy capable of restoring youth to us? — Causes of aging and death.**
What are the chemical qualities of the elements and the role they play in our organism?
It is necessary to remember that the human body is composed of a quantity of substances that enter into the constitution of cellular protoplasm and that can be classified into **INORGANIC SUBSTANCES** (water, mineral salts and some gases) and **ORGANIC SUBSTANCES** (carbohydrates, fats, protein substances, in addition to ferments and vitamins). All these substances are composed of 22 elements; 12 principal and 10 secondary.
**The principal ones are**: CARBON, SULFUR, NITROGEN, HYDROGEN, OXYGEN, PHOSPHORUS, CHLORINE, POTASSIUM, SODIUM, MAGNESIUM, CALCIUM, IRON.
**The secondary ones are**: SILICON, FLUORINE, BROMINE, IODINE, ALUMINUM, MANGANESE, LITHIUM, COPPER, LEAD and ZINC.
## THE TWELVE PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS
### CARBON
Carbon is the principal element of the organism in which it is found in almost 50% proportion. It enters into the constitution of most organic substances and many inorganic ones. We introduce it daily in a quantity of almost 280 grams and eliminate it in great part through respiration in the form of carbonic acid. It is found in almost all foods of vegetal and animal origin.
### SULFUR
It enters into the constitution of most organic substances and many inorganic ones. We introduce it daily in a quantity of almost 280 grams and eliminate it in great part through respiration in the form of carbonic acid. It is found in almost all foods of vegetal and animal origin.
### SULFUR
It enters into the constitution of protein substances and their derivatives; it is found combined in salts in the form of alkaline sulfates (which exist in blood and in most tissues and liquids except bile and gastric juice), alkaline hyposulfites, sulfocyanide of K and Na (saliva, blood, etc.), iron sulfide, etc. It is found, moreover, in the intestine combined with H in the H2S state. It is indispensable for the formation of tendons and cartilages, plays an important role in the cure of rheumatism and skin diseases, facilitates the elimination of toxic substances, tonifies the nerves and makes hair grow.
The sulfur we have to assimilate must come from raw and not cooked foods, since that which comes from the latter provokes intestinal disorders with gas production. Avoid, consequently, hard eggs and boiled cabbage.
**Assimilable sulfur** abounds in: green beans, carrots, plums, fresh and dried figs, egg yolks (raw), raw onions, radishes and whole grain bread, boiled turnips, boiled cauliflower and broccoli.
### NITROGEN
It enters into the constitution of protein substances and the nitrogenous products that derive from them. It is found in the free state in the respiratory tract and digestive tube, coming almost completely from the atmospheric air breathed or swallowed. It is found in solution in blood and other liquids of the organism. It acts as an attenuator of the oxidizing action of oxygen.
### HYDROGEN
It enters into the constitution of all organic substances and a certain number of inorganic ones. It is found in the free state in expired air, in the intestinal tube and in the gaseous products of cutaneous perspiration. We introduce it daily with foods and drinks in the quantity of almost 40 grams and eliminate it approximately in the same quantity as introduced, through diverse elimination pathways either in the form of water and NH3 or in the form of complex combinations in catabolic products.
### OXYGEN
It enters into the constitution of almost all organic substances and many inorganic ones, among which principally water. It exists weakly combined with the hemoglobin of red blood cells constituting oxyhemoglobin, in solution in blood plasma, lymph and other liquids of the organism; in the free gas state in the airways and in small quantity in the upper part of the digestive tube. We introduce it with air and with foods.
### PHOSPHORUS
We introduce it with air and with foods.
### PHOSPHORUS
It enters into the constitution of nucleins and lecithin and in many phosphates, among which those of Na, K, Mg, Ca, etc. The K phosphates are found in muscles, cells in general and brain; those of Ca in milk, bones and teeth. Phosphorus is introduced with organic and inorganic foods and is eliminated with urine and feces in the form of phosphoric acid. The physiological function of phosphates is very important, as indicated by their presence in all tissues and their predominance in red blood cells, muscles, nerves and growing cells. In blood the alkaline phosphates and especially sodium phosphate contribute to maintaining alkalinity, favor the solution of protein substances and exercise influence on the absorption of CO2 by blood, etc.
**Phosphorus deficiency** in the organism translates into nervous depression, hysteria, neurosis and mental torpor. Foods rich in phosphorus are: coconut, olives, grapes, strawberries, chestnuts, apples, pears, cherries, oranges, lettuce, endive, potatoes, spinach, cauliflower, onions, radishes, carrots, cucumbers, artichokes, milk, beans, fresh cheeses, lentils, chickpeas, barley, corn flour, oats, whole grain bread, nuts, pumpkin, almonds, whole wheat, rye and egg yolks, in which it reaches up to 70%.
Phosphorus must also be introduced in organic form, since otherwise it produces a series of grave disorders principally affecting the nervous system.
### CHLORINE
It is found in the free state or combined with protein substances in gastric juice. This intestinal chlorine recombines with alkalis and is reabsorbed returning to the blood from where it had come in the form of sodium chloride. It is found in the form of Na, K and Ca chloride in all liquids and tissues of the body. These chlorides are largely in solution, but are also combined with protein substances.
Chlorine is a purifying element and great cellular stimulant. **Chlorine deficiency** translates into nervousness, catarrhs and colds, intestinal congestion, pallor in countenance, bad humor, fear, anxiety, pyorrhea and albuminuria.
**Foods rich in chlorine** are: carrots, lettuces, spinach, radishes, beets, lentils, asparagus, mushrooms, cucumbers and egg yolks.
### POTASSIUM
Potassium is found in the organism in greater or lesser quantity in all tissues and liquids, combined with inorganic and organic acids. The most important combination of potassium is potassium chloride which accompanies sodium chloride everywhere. But while Na salts are found more in liquids and exceptionally in red blood cells of some animals, potassium salts are found more in morphological elements like red blood cells, muscular tissue, nervous tissue, etc., and, exceptionally, in milk.
K salts come from alimentation especially vegetal and are easily absorbed. Their elimination is done through urine and feces.
K salts come from alimentation especially vegetal and are easily absorbed. Their elimination is done through urine and feces.
The role that K salts play is very important. In small doses they excite circulatory activity, elevate blood pressure, accelerate and strengthen heart contractions. In larger doses they are powerful poisons for protoplasm and particularly for muscular cells. They exercise a more stimulating than nutritive action and facilitate sugar fermentation.
**Potassium deficiency** translates into muscular and cerebral decay, thinning and constipation.
**Foods richest in potassium** are: egg yolks, coconuts, lentils, peas, olives, chestnuts, cherries, tomatoes, blackberries, potatoes, apples, lettuces, radishes, cucumbers, artichokes, carrots, onions, plums, grapes, cherries, pears, rye, oranges.
### THE DEEPER SIGNIFICANCE OF THE 22 ELEMENTS
This systematic analysis reveals profound correspondences between physical chemistry and spiritual development. The emphasis on organic versus inorganic forms demonstrates understanding that true nourishment requires substances processed by living systems rather than artificial substitutes.
**The Sacred Number 22**: The correspondence between the 22 elements and the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet, 22 paths of the Tree of Life, and 22 Tarot trumps reveals the alchemical understanding that physical regeneration operates through the same cosmic principles that govern spiritual transformation.
**The Primary and Secondary Classification**: The distinction between 12 primary and 10 secondary elements reflects the zodiacal (12) and sephirotic (10) principles operating through material manifestation. This demonstrates the hermetic axiom "as above, so below" applied to nutritional science.
**The Organic Imperative**: The repeated emphasis that elements must come from organic sources rather than mineral supplements anticipates by decades the contemporary understanding of bioavailability and the difference between synthetic and natural nutrients.
**The Deficiency Diseases**: The detailed correlation between specific element deficiencies and particular physical and psychological symptoms reveals sophisticated understanding of how nutritional imbalances create specific distortions in consciousness and vitality.
### THE SPIRITUAL ALCHEMY PRINCIPLE
The question "Is there a Spiritual Alchemy capable of restoring youth?" indicates that physical regeneration represents only the outer aspect of a complete transformative process. True longevity requires the integration of:
1. **Physical Purification**: Providing the body with proper elements in assimilable forms
2. **Emotional Equilibrium**: Understanding how nutritional deficiencies create psychological disturbances
3. **Mental Clarity**: Recognizing the connection between brain chemistry and consciousness states
4. **Spiritual Alignment**: Using physical vitality to support rather than distract from spiritual development
**Mental Clarity**: Recognizing the connection between brain chemistry and consciousness states
4. **Spiritual Alignment**: Using physical vitality to support rather than distract from spiritual development
This teaching provides the foundation for authentic life extension based on natural principles rather than artificial interventions—the beginning of a complete science of conscious longevity.

### The Remaining Primary and Secondary Elements
**By Asuri Kapila S.I.**
### SODIUM
Sodium is found in the human being in combinations similar to those of potassium. The most important is sodium chloride, which is found preferentially in organic liquids, such as blood plasma, lymph, bile, sweat, pancreatic juice and urine. The general quantity existing in the organism reaches more or less 200 grams. Sodium chloride comes entirely from alimentation, in the approximate quantity of 15 to 20 grams daily. It is eliminated through urine in almost the same proportion and partly through sweat, saliva, mucus and feces.
The role that sodium chloride plays is extremely important. It facilitates osmotic phenomena, the disassimilation of protein substances and the elimination of urea through urine, as well as the elimination of urine itself.
**Foods containing sodium**: plums, almonds, rye flour, corn flour, beans, whole grain bread, oats, coconut, wheat, barley, cherries, nuts, lettuce, spinach, carrots, radishes, strawberries, pumpkins, apples, fresh cheeses, eggs, lentils, oranges, endive, pears, artichokes, chestnuts and cucumbers. The foods richest in sodium are carrots and spinach, in which the sodium content is almost 60%.
### MAGNESIUM
It is found in the organism in the state of phosphate and carbonate. The first always accompanies calcium phosphate, and in muscles and thymus it is found in greater quantity than the latter.
It is introduced through foods in general and eliminated partly through urine and feces.
It exercises a very important role in the organism, still not well known. Its deficiency provokes mental disturbances, neurasthenia, vertigo, nervousness, bad humor, insomnia, constipation and hyperesthesia of tissues in general.
**Abundant sources of magnesium**: all citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruits, limes, lemons and additionally in strawberries, pineapples, egg yolks (raw), milk (raw), cream, apples, peaches, grapes, cherries, nuts, whole wheat, oats, dried fruits, spinach, coconut, almonds, chestnuts, blackberries and raw vegetables in general.
### CALCIUM
### CALCIUM
It is found in the organism in the state of fluoride, phosphate, carbonate, sulfate, oxalate, citrate, etc. Calcium fluoride is found in bones and traces in blood, milk and brain; calcium phosphate is found in tissues and liquids; calcium carbonate is found in otoliths, urine, bones, teeth, etc.; calcium chloride is found in gastric juice; calcium sulfate probably derives from the oxidation of proteins and the urates and oxalates are found in urine sediments, and the citrate in milk.
The greater quantity of calcium comes from foods, especially vegetables, and from water. Its elimination is done through kidneys and sweat, but mainly through feces.
**In our youth we need calcium for the formation of bones and teeth**; only when our body is developed do we no longer need so much calcium, because in excess it hardens arteries, cartilages and tissues in general, producing then a process called calcification, which brings as consequence formation of stones, lack of flexibility in joints and a whole series of disorders already studied in previous numbers of this magazine. So the lack of calcium, especially in children, translates into defective teeth, defective legs, twisted, bone malformations, predisposition to tuberculosis, premature old age and short life.
**Foods rich in calcium** are fresh cheeses, egg yolks, milk, wheat, lemons, peaches, oranges, plums, spinach, onions, strawberries, and especially lettuces, carrots, olives and whole grain bread. The calcium fixative is lemon and that is why it is convenient to take every day, on an empty stomach, lemon juice to fix calcium in tissues for all those persons who need it. The only assimilable calcium is that which comes from vegetal alimentation and, above all, from the foods described above, since inorganic or mineral calcium (like that which is usually given by injections) is generally not assimilated and only comes to be deposited in tissues producing disorders of various species.
### IRON
It is found in the organism always in organic combination, in the hemoglobin of red blood cells, in hepatin, ferratin and other albuminates of liver, spleen and bone marrow; in some pigments coming from hemoglobin (melanins, etc.); in hair, eyes, chyle, lymph, bile, milk, urine, gastric juice, etc.
The function of iron in the organism is extremely important, since it serves as vehicle for oxygen, which through its smooth combination with hemoglobin, is transported to the entire organism.
**Iron deficiency** produces anemia, weakness, insomnia, chlorosis, vertigo, memory deficiencies, incapacity of mind to concentrate, cold extremities, etc.
**Iron-rich foods**: peas, beets, fresh beans, green beans, olives, corn, rice, apples, cucumbers, carrots, watercress, potatoes, egg yolks, barley, nuts, lettuce, plums, cherries, radishes, onions, artichokes, lentils, wheat, and above all, spinach.
**Iron-rich foods**: peas, beets, fresh beans, green beans, olives, corn, rice, apples, cucumbers, carrots, watercress, potatoes, egg yolks, barley, nuts, lettuce, plums, cherries, radishes, onions, artichokes, lentils, wheat, and above all, spinach.
Its elimination is done through urine and feces. True deposits of iron in the organism are the liver and spleen, which attract like true magnets the iron circulating in blood.
## THE TEN SECONDARY ELEMENTS
### SILICON
Silicon is found in the form of silicon dioxide in hair, bones, bile, urine, cartilages, pancreas, crystalline lens of eyes, tendons, etc.
Its function is to absorb gases, alkalize acid media, be a true natural organic antiseptic, tonify sexual organs and arteries and nerves. It is, therefore, a powerful anti-arteriosclerotic and anti-rachitic; it is extremely necessary for nervous exhaustion and is what gives brilliance to eyes, nails and teeth.
**Silicon-rich foods**: egg yolks (raw), endive, watercress, nuts, pine nuts, whole wheat, oats, pomegranates, strawberries, apples, grapes, cherries, peaches, carrots, spinach, raw cabbage, tomatoes, brown rice and barley.
Said foods should be eaten by all those persons who suffer from chronic constipation, sexual weakness, neurasthenics and, above all, by those who suffer from liver problems, deficiencies in blood circulation and lack of mental agility.
### FLUORINE
It is found in bones, teeth, blood, nails, hair and urine. Its function in the organism is not yet completely known. It diminishes emotivity and manifests an action against kidney and bladder stones, against vein dilation, paralysis, tuberculosis, syphilis and other venereal diseases.
**Fluorine-rich foods**: onions, garlic, beets, whole wheat, spinach, oats, apples, and egg yolks.
### BROMINE
It is found in the adrenal glands, pituitary, liver, thyroid and nails. Its function in the organism is unknown.
### IODINE
It is found in blood and thyroid.
**Iodine-rich foods**: potatoes, radishes, lettuces, black grapes, watermelons, fresh beans, pomegranates, green beans, strawberries, oranges, pineapples, egg yolks (raw), apples, peas, tomatoes, garlic, onions, artichokes and mushrooms.
**Iodine deficiency** in our organism translates into thyroid hypertrophy, producing endemic goiter and Basedow's disease and alterations of the nervous system, such as cardiac palpitations, timidity, excitability, emotivity and even idiocy.
### ALUMINUM
Traces are found in tissue ashes. Its function in the organism is unknown.
### MANGANESE
It is found in blood, bile, hair, milk, bones and urine. Generally it is found together with iron.
**Manganese-rich foods**: parsley, hazelnuts, almonds, egg yolks (raw), endive, watercress, nuts, pine nuts and almost all vegetables.
Its deficiency in our organism translates into amnesia, confusion and mental torpor, states of madness or violent mental and physical excitations, which suggests it must play an important role in the tonification of the entire nervous system.
### LITHIUM
Traces are found in tissue ashes. Its function in the organism is unknown.
### COPPER — LEAD — ZINC
They are found in liver and bile. Function unknown.
## CONCLUSIONS: THE ALCHEMICAL PRINCIPLES
From all the above we can draw the following conclusions:
**1)** Every physical and psychic disorder is the consequence of a partial or total deficiency of one or more elements.
**2)** Every emotional state is an alarm cry from our organism asking for calcium, fluorine, magnesium, etc.
**3)** It is necessary to choose our foods not eating just anything, but exclusively and in the just quantity of what our non-degenerated instinct asks.
**4)** Eat natural foods elaborated by Nature and not artificial ones elaborated by man. The first are the only ones that possess the life necessary for our organism. Remember readers that rock crystal as well as precious stones possess brilliance, electricity and magnetism, while synthetic artificial crystal and stones lack brilliance, electricity and magnetism.
**Health in Bodies, Peace in Hearts and Fraternal Union among all Beings.**

### THE DEEPER SIGNIFICANCE OF NUTRITIONAL ALCHEMY
This systematic analysis reveals the profound connection between physical chemistry and spiritual development. The teaching demonstrates that authentic longevity requires understanding how specific nutritional deficiencies create characteristic distortions in consciousness and vitality.
**The Organic Life Force Principle**: The comparison between natural crystals (possessing brilliance, electricity and magnetism) and synthetic ones (lacking these qualities) reveals understanding that living substances contain energetic qualities not found in artificial substitutes. This anticipates by decades the recognition of bioavailability and the difference between natural and synthetic nutrients.
**The Instinctive Wisdom Teaching**: The emphasis on following "non-degenerated instinct" in food selection recognizes that healthy organisms possess innate knowledge about their nutritional needs. This suggests that proper nutrition requires not only intellectual understanding but also restoration of natural sensitivity.
This suggests that proper nutrition requires not only intellectual understanding but also restoration of natural sensitivity.
**The Emotional-Nutritional Connection**: The recognition that "every emotional state is an alarm cry from our organism" requesting specific elements reveals sophisticated understanding of the biochemical basis of psychological states. This connects ancient alchemical knowledge with modern orthomolecular medicine.
**The Calcification Warning**: The detailed explanation of how excess calcium creates premature aging through arterial hardening and joint stiffness demonstrates understanding that nutritional balance requires sophisticated timing. Youth requires calcium for growth; maturity requires moderation to prevent calcification.
**The Deficiency Disease Correlations**: The systematic connection between specific element deficiencies and particular physical and psychological symptoms reveals practical application of hermetic correspondences. Each element deficiency creates characteristic distortions that can be corrected through proper supplementation.
This teaching provides a complete foundation for nutritional regeneration based on alchemical principles—demonstrating how physical vitality serves spiritual development rather than competing with it. The emphasis on natural sources and organic assimilation shows understanding that true nourishment occurs through harmony with natural processes rather than through artificial manipulation.

## Maha Boddhi Sangha: The Four Noble Practices and Buddhist Glossary
### Foundations of Right Speech and Sacred Language
**By Upasika, A.M. — Bikku**
The Venerable Order of the Maha Boddhi Sangha (Great Buddhist Fraternity of Perfect Wisdom), imparts its blessings to all beings, desiring they kindle in their hearts the Sacred Fire that when it begins to burn purifies and elevates, preparing them to be swept toward the sublime sphere from where the Perfect Ones dwell.
As this Venerable Fraternity initiates its visible action in the present year, it makes vows that the Light of Wisdom of the Holy Buddha may be the refuge of those who long for knowledge, of those who suffer and ignore the cause of their pains, of those who being on the Path desire to accelerate their evolution, and it also makes vows that the unalterable peace that in his profound doctrine he teaches us, may be for all a constant realization and profound Truth.
May the blessing of the Venerable and Holy Buddha, Sublime and Perfect in his Great Wisdom, Master of Compassion, descend toward all beings so that Peace may be a Reality, Love a Truth and Fraternity the common and noble aspiration of all Humanity.
May the blessing of the Venerable and Holy Buddha, Sublime and Perfect in his Great Wisdom, Master of Compassion, descend toward all beings so that Peace may be a Reality, Love a Truth and Fraternity the common and noble aspiration of all Humanity.
Let us meditate with profound devotion on the Holy Name of the Buddha, and let us invoke his Luminous Presence with the Sacred mantram **[translate:NAMAH OM KWAZEON]** every Sunday at 10 in the morning and at 4 in the afternoon (Uruguayan time) when the Servers of the Buddha gather in their hidden Ashrams of the Cordillera; and every Thursday at 9 at night in the G.I.D.E.E. of Montevideo, where a Buddhism course is given and his Holy Name is venerated (See No. 34 of [translate:La Iniciación]).
Let us meditate, practicing them, some essential points of the doctrine that HE taught for the realization of the Path:
## THE FOUR NOBLE PRACTICES OF RIGHT SPEECH
### 1. ABSTENTION FROM LYING
Neither for personal advantage nor to favor others' interests nor to support any other class of interests.
### 2. ABSTENTION FROM GOSSIP
What has been heard here should not be repeated there, in order not to occasion discords and distrusts; and what has been heard there should not be repeated here so as not to occasion confusions and hatreds. Acting thus one brings closer those who are distanced and also consolidates those who are already united, becoming an instrument of harmonization.
### 3. ABSTENTION FROM HARSH LANGUAGE
Pronounce only words exempt from rudeness, agreeable to the ear, cordial, courteous, complaisant, congratulatory and elevated. One who does not know how to use sweet and amiable language toward others is not yet on the Path. A soft, affable and fraternal word can save a life and teach the Way to one who has lost everything.
### 4. ABSTENTION FROM USELESS CONVERSATIONS
It is necessary to speak opportunely, according to facts, and speak regarding constructive things. The Buddha said: "Either the conversation refers to Truth or one should observe a holy silence."

### THE DEEPER SIGNIFICANCE OF RIGHT SPEECH
This teaching on the Four Noble Practices reveals Buddhism's profound understanding that speech serves as both the primary vehicle for consciousness transmission and the most common source of karmic entanglement. The systematic approach to purifying communication demonstrates how authentic spiritual development requires mastery over the subtle influences of language.
**The Hierarchy of Speech Purification**: The progression from avoiding lies (gross falsehood) through avoiding gossip (social manipulation) and harsh language (emotional violence) to avoiding useless conversation (mental dissipation) shows the refinement process by which consciousness learns to use speech only for constructive purposes.
**The Social Healing Function**: The emphasis on bringing together those who are distanced and consolidating those who are united reveals Buddhism's understanding that authentic practitioners serve as social healers, using speech to create harmony rather than division.
**The Salvific Power of Kind Words**: The recognition that "a soft, affable and fraternal word can save a life and teach the Way to one who has lost everything" demonstrates the bodhisattva ideal in practical application—using speech as a vehicle for compassionate intervention at crucial moments.
**The Truth-Silence Principle**: The Buddha's teaching that "either the conversation refers to Truth or one should observe a holy silence" establishes a rigorous standard that eliminates casual chatter while maintaining openness to authentic communication about spiritual matters.
### THE MANTRIC SCIENCE
The specific invocation **[translate:NAMAH OM KWAZEON]** provides a practical method for connecting with the Buddha-current during synchronized meditation periods. This represents systematic application of sound for consciousness alignment.
**The Synchronized Practice**: The specific times for group meditation (Sunday 10 AM and 4 PM, Thursday 9 PM Uruguayan time) create synchronized fields of consciousness that amplify individual practice through collective participation.
**The Synchronized Practice**: The specific times for group meditation (Sunday 10 AM and 4 PM, Thursday 9 PM Uruguayan time) create synchronized fields of consciousness that amplify individual practice through collective participation.
**The Hidden Ashrams**: The reference to "Servers of the Buddha" gathering in "hidden Ashrams of the Cordillera" reveals organized networks of advanced practitioners maintaining continuous spiritual work for planetary healing.
### THE GLOSSARY SIGNIFICANCE
The multilingual glossary demonstrates the universal scope of Buddhist principles while maintaining precision through original terminology. The emphasis on creating personal study notebooks shows understanding that authentic spiritual education requires active participation rather than passive reception.
**The Eightfold Path Elements**: The inclusion of the eight samma (right) practices provides foundation for understanding Buddhism's systematic approach to consciousness development through ethical conduct, mental cultivation, and wisdom development.
**The Technical Precision**: The careful distinction between Pali and Sanskrit terms (Kamma/Karma, Dhamma/Dharma, Nibbana/Nirvana) demonstrates scholarly accuracy that preserves subtle differences in meaning between different Buddhist traditions.
**The Initiation Understanding**: The definition of [translate:Bikku] as one who has received "true Buddhist initiation (astral)" from a Master reveals understanding of authentic spiritual transmission beyond mere ceremonial ordination.
This teaching provides complete foundation for applying Buddhist principles to daily communication while maintaining connection with the universal Buddhist current through systematic practice and study. The integration of ethical conduct, mantric practice, and scholarly precision demonstrates mature approach to Buddhist development suitable for serious practitioners in any cultural context.

## Suddha Dharma Mandalam: The Avatar's Prophecy and Sacred Observances
### The Guru's Prediction and Instructions for the Full Moon of Vaisaka
**Compiled by Jehel**
## THE AVATAR OF BHAGAVAN MITRA DEVA: INSTRUCTOR OF THE WORLD
In this article, we will make known the Instructions for the Celebration of the Full Moon of Vaisaka, but first, and as reverential homage to our Guru, the gentle, pure, wise and humble Swami Subrahmaniananda, we wish to reproduce the text of a Circular that the Guru sent to all Members of S.D.M. and in which he announced with six days' anticipation the Birth of the Avatar Sri Bhagavan Mitra Deva. Let it be theme of meditation and reverence for all Disciples. It reads thus:
### THE PROPHETIC CIRCULAR (JANUARY 10, 1919)
**[translate:"Suddha Dharma Mandalam — Subhamastu Sarvajagatam Namasté Mahadbhya, Siddhebyo, Gurubyascha, Namó, Nahmá"]**
On the 16th of the present month, one of the elevated members of the Suddha Dharma Mandalam will reincarnate in order to carry out by himself a work for the good of the world. This day, therefore, is worthy of being observed by all members of the Mandalam and they should have the kindness to celebrate it as such. At about 6:30 P.M., after the customary daily [translate:Anushatanam], the members should offer a supplication in their own language to [translate:Yoga Devi] and to the Hierarchs of the Mandalam so that prosperity may be granted to the entire world.
The house should be decorated with lights, as much as possible, as a demonstration of the joy that is felt on such an occasion. Celebrate a feast that same night, in harmony with circumstances.

## OBSERVANCES OF THE FULL MOON OF VAISAKA
### PREPARATION AND PURIFICATION
On the night of Saturday May 26, the Members of the Suddha Dharma Mandalam must bathe before sunset (Saturday), having fasted the entire said day. In addition to the practice or meditation that they might have done on Saturday morning, they will return to do their daily meditation or practice, at night, before the hour that was fixed for the Ceremony of the Full Moon of Vaisaka, and at said hour they will be in the Ashram in which said celebration should be realized, and if it were not possible for them to attend, they will join it from their homes or appropriate place.
### THE CEREMONIAL SETUP
At 1:48 (Greenwich Mean Time¹) of the 27th day they must sit in the Ashram—or appropriate place—, facing north. In the center of the ceremonial place or before each isolated member, there will be a vegetal leaf, and in the center of it should be placed, without touching the ground, a clean metal vessel, quite wide of mouth, filled three-quarters with limpid water. Two fragrant red flowers should be put in the vessel (whose significance the Members know). On the right side there will be white and fragrant flowers on a clean plate. The Members must think of their Instructor, of the Guru, and that before them are gathered in Assembly the Siddhas belonging to the Suddha Dharma Mandalam, celebrating rites for the good of the world for the next twelve months. Then, with joined hands, they will repeat the verses that are given below, and offer one of the white flowers, putting it in the vessel, after reciting each verse.
### THE CEREMONIAL MEDITATION
Then, with joined hands, they will repeat the verses that are given below, and offer one of the white flowers, putting it in the vessel, after reciting each verse.
### THE CEREMONIAL MEDITATION
Having finished the recitation of the verses that we publish today, they will remain in meditation and in adoration for more than 30 minutes. After that lapse (more or less), the Officiant of each Ashram (or the isolated member), will recite the 10 verses published on page number 22 of [translate:La Iniciación] number 35, and then, the 6 stanzas published in the magazine of April 1944².
New adorative quietude and what is spontaneously translated by mudras, etc., by those present, will serve to close the Celebration. Each Disciple will subsequently make a written relation of their Impressions or perceptions and deliver it to the Officiant of their Ashram (or send it to them, if they had been obliged to realize the Celebration in isolation).
Such celebrations will be done with soft light during the Celebration, which can be preceded by adequate music (Handel's Largo, Moonlight, etc.).
### THE BREAKING OF THE FAST
Having finished this Celebration, the fast may be broken, by means of sweet and light diet, celebrating festively the fraternal reunion, illuminating the locale in sign of joy.
### THE NIGHT CEREMONY
At night (night of Sunday to Monday) at 22:30, Uruguayan time, after bathing, each Member isolated, or newly gathered in their Ashramas, situating themselves facing East and if possible exposed to the Light of the Moon, will recite the verses that we give below, and then, in absolute quietude and repose, they may ask to be permitted to unite internally and in the adequate place to the Great Celebration, to offer their Service in aid to the Avatar's Mission and receive internally the seed of what they should realize in the immediate future.
Having made such offering, with mind and heart, they should give themselves to adorative meditation and let themselves be carried...
### TIME ZONE CONVERSIONS
¹ Said Greenwich Mean Time, corresponds to the following civil hours (of the clock):
- **Argentina**: If there are no changes at the same hour as Uruguay.
- **Brazil**: At 22:48 on the 26th day.
- **Chile**: At 21:48 on the 26th day.
- **Uruguay**: At 22:48 on the 26th day.
Of course it is understood that the participants in said Celebrations will be in the respective locales and already in silent recollection, at least 30 minutes before the indicated hours.
² [translate:La Iniciación] No. 24, pages 19 to 21 inclusive.
What had been given them to perceive or realize in this second act, will also be consigned in their individual relations, to be delivered to the Officiant of their respective Ashramas, to be sent to the Instructor.

### THE PROFOUND SIGNIFICANCE OF AVATAR PREPARATION
This remarkable documentation reveals how authentic spiritual organizations coordinate systematic preparation for Avatar manifestation. The prophetic circular announcing Bhagavan Mitra Deva's birth six days in advance demonstrates the precision with which advanced beings work when divine consciousness requires embodiment for world service.
**The Prophetic Precision**: The exact date prediction (January 16, 1919) validates the spiritual authority of Swami Subrahmaniananda and demonstrates how genuine Avatar work operates through cosmic timing rather than human convenience.
**The Collective Preparation**: The detailed ceremonial instructions show how group consciousness can be systematically aligned to support divine manifestation. The synchronized meditation times create energy fields that facilitate Avatar embodiment and mission fulfillment.
**The Symbolic Elements**: The specific details—red flowers in water vessels, white flowers for offering, facing north, vegetal leaves—represent precise correspondences between ceremonial actions and subtle energy states necessary for Avatar connection.
**The Graduated Approach**: The two-part ceremony (afternoon meditation followed by evening invocation) demonstrates sophisticated understanding of how consciousness must be gradually prepared for contact with Avatar energy levels.
**The Global Perspective**: The prayer for "sympathy and friendship between governors and governed" to "become universal" reveals the Avatar's mission as planetary rather than sectarian—working for the evolution of human civilization itself.
This teaching provides complete methodology for participating in Avatar work while demonstrating the systematic preparation required for authentic divine manifestation in human form.

## Cosmic Influences and Reactions of Living Beings
### Temperature Influences: The Solar Science of Environmental Consciousness
**By Pitágoras S.I.**
Another modality of energy that is perceived by living beings in its two polarities of heat and cold, according to whether its intensity is superior or inferior to the specific average that exists in them, is that which is denominated temperature.
The sources of this characteristic modality of energy are multiple, such as for example the combustion of wood, coal, petroleum and other combustible matters, the friction between the surfaces of bodies, the resistance to an electric current, the deeper layers of the earth and the living beings themselves; but all these sources of thermal radiation are nothing but indirect sources, since they limit themselves to emitting the energy that they had previously received from the sun. So we can say that the only source of energy and in our case the thermal, is the sun.
## THE SOLAR SPECTRUM AND THERMAL RADIATION
Indeed, if a solar ray strikes a salt prism, a gem that stops radiations less than a glass prism, one obtains a visible spectrum, that is, the decomposition of the solar ray into its constitutive elements. Now, if we explore the visible spectrum by means of a sensitive thermometer, we verify a maximum of temperature in correspondence with red, that is, in correspondence with those radiations that have 6,980 angstroms, or 0.69 microns; and if we explore outside this visible spectrum, that is, below red, in the infrared band, we also obtain a maximum of temperature. In other parts of the spectrum, on the contrary, we find inferior temperatures.
It was believed in the past that solar radiations and especially thermal ones, were more intense the closer they were to their origin. The myth of Icarus falling into the sea because, wanting to rise too high, the heat of the sun had melted his wax wings, is proof of the belief in this error. In reality, the upper atmosphere is very cold, as Prof. Van Bennelen has demonstrated who, having sent up in the sky of Java, in April 1913, a balloon-probe to the height of 17,000 meters, recorded a temperature of 91° C below zero. The radiations emitted by the sun become, therefore, thermal, only when they strike an obstacle that stops and absorbs or stores them.
## THE VITAL ROLE OF TEMPERATURE

## THE VITAL ROLE OF TEMPERATURE
This modality of energy denominated temperature plays a primordial role in the maintenance of life, which is known very imperfectly at present.
Regarding the constitution of climates, we know how temperature exercises a preponderant influence and we also know how fauna and flora are, in the diverse parts of the terrestrial surface, in direct dependence on climate and, consequently, on one of its most important constitutive factors: temperature. We all know the exuberance of tropical flora and the steppes of cold regions, the variable nature of the diverse animal species according to the regions in which they live and the migration of some during certain seasons of the year, that is, during those epochs in which, due to the inclination of the earth's rotation axis and to the movement of the precession of equinoxes, the intensity of thermal energy on earth varies.
We know, on the other hand, how temperature influences the evaporation of waters on the surface of the soil and of the seas; waters that, transformed into clouds, will fall again on the soil, fertilizing it.
All these variations of temperature cannot fail to exercise their influence on living beings who, as is known, possess a delicate mechanism of regulation of the same to adapt themselves, between certain limits, to its variations.
## HEAT INFLUENCE ON LIVING BEINGS
To be synthetic, we will treat the influences of temperature on living beings and their reactions to it, speaking first of the influence exercised by its positive polarity or heat and then of that exercised by its negative polarity or cold.
**Heat Influence** — We have already said that each living being possesses a specific temperature. Now, for its life to develop normally, it is necessary that the temperature of the environment in which it lives does not exceed certain limits, both for heat and for cold, because its mechanisms of internal temperature regulation can only function between those limits which, moreover, are variable from being to being.
Most vegetal and animal cells cannot live in an environment where the maximum temperature is superior to 40° - 47°.
Max Schulze has demonstrated that a temperature superior to 47° provokes the death of vegetal cells and C. Kühne found that the protoplasm of amoebas coagulates, sometimes, at 40°. There exist, however, other living beings that tolerate much higher temperatures, like certain algae that live in thermal waters whose temperature reaches up to 63°. Ehrenberg has found infusorians that can live at a temperature of 81° - 85°, and all bacteriologists know that the spores of anthrax bacillus support well temperatures superior to 100° and that only after three hours at a dry heat of 140° do they surely lose all vitality. As can be seen, the maximum limit of temperature at which living beings can live is very variable and, moreover, the power of adaptation of the same to temperature variations is also quite different.
As can be seen, the maximum limit of temperature at which living beings can live is very variable and, moreover, the power of adaptation of the same to temperature variations is also quite different.
## HUMAN TEMPERATURE TOLERANCE
Regarding man, the optimum temperature is also quite variable according to races and climates in which he is accustomed to live, but one can say in general manner, that he lives better at low than at high temperatures and that this should not exceed 37°. It is true that man can live at superior temperatures, but, in this case, it is necessary that his regulation mechanisms enter into function.
We know how in some countries of Asia, Africa and South America, temperature can reach up to 40° and 45°, and, nevertheless, man can live perfectly in this heat without grave perturbations manifesting in his vital functions.
We know, on the other hand, that those who must work, by their trade near places where heat production is very great, such as for example near the boilers of ships, that is, in an environment where heat reaches up to 60°, can remain for some hours without morbid phenomena presenting, because the self-regulation mechanisms permit that internal temperature does not rise beyond a normal average.
If, on the contrary, temperature rises more than 60° or, for an inferior temperature, the regulation mechanisms function badly, some nervous disturbances of variable nature can present suddenly, first, and then, those grave perturbations known by the names of heat stroke and sunstroke which sometimes are followed by immediate death.
## HEAT STROKE AND SUNSTROKE
**Heat stroke** is caused by a great increase of atmospheric heat, whether due to solar rays, whether due to any other artificial source of heat, while **sunstroke** or insolation is caused by the direct action of solar rays, specifically on the head. Hiller, who has studied much the causal factors of heat stroke, affirms that, for this to be able to occur, it is necessary:
1) A prolonged stay in regions where air is superheated.
2) Limited muscular work that paralyzes the self-regulation mechanisms of temperature.
3) An excess of muscular work in temperate environment, in which case a perturbation in the equilibrium of internal temperature and paralysis or paresis of the heart and respiratory muscles is produced, in addition to grave perturbations in blood composition and metabolism.
3) An excess of muscular work in temperate environment, in which case a perturbation in the equilibrium of internal temperature and paralysis or paresis of the heart and respiratory muscles is produced, in addition to grave perturbations in blood composition and metabolism.
Hiller thus arrives at the conclusion that there are three forms of heat stroke: the asphyctic form, the paralytic or dyscrastic and the psychopathic. Both in the case of heat stroke and in that of sunstroke, body temperature increases notably, being able to reach up to 43°. The physiological disturbances that are produced in light cases (40°) are: frequent respiration and pulse, increase in sweat elimination, increase in thirst and general fatigue. In more grave cases the pulse can reach a frequency of 130 to 140 pulsations per minute, thirst is unbearable, sweat is most abundant and migraines, delirium, vertigo and, sometimes, epileptiform cramps manifest, being able to produce, in this state, death. If the described symptomatology gradually disappears, there remain, however, some persistent symptoms like depression or nervous exaltation, migraine and visual disturbances.
In the case of insolation where the action of solar rays is exercised directly on the nervous system, in addition to the described symptoms, others of nervous nature can present and all of them, such as paralysis or paresis, hemiplegia, etc., which, sometimes last a long time or can be permanent. Sometimes, death can be produced suddenly. The described disturbances are almost exclusively functional, because the anatomical lesions found in the tissues of cadavers of those deceased by heat stroke or sunstroke are of very little importance. Said lesions consist in chromatolysis of nerve cells of the central nervous system, destruction of nervous fibrils of cortex and medulla cells, small hemorrhages in the medulla oblongata, digestive tube, endocardium and liver.
### THE DEEPER SIGNIFICANCE OF THERMAL CONSCIOUSNESS
This scientific analysis reveals profound principles about how environmental conditions affect consciousness states and spiritual development. The understanding that temperature regulation represents a fundamental life process demonstrates the connection between physical adaptation and psychological equilibrium.
**The Solar Source Principle**: The recognition that all terrestrial thermal energy derives ultimately from solar radiation validates traditional teachings about cosmic influences while providing scientific foundation. This demonstrates the hermetic principle that all earthly phenomena reflect celestial patterns.
**The Adaptation Mechanism**: The detailed analysis of how organisms regulate internal temperature within external variations reveals the principle of homeostasis that applies equally to physical, emotional, and mental stability. Spiritual development requires similar adaptive mechanisms for maintaining inner equilibrium amid external changes.
Spiritual development requires similar adaptive mechanisms for maintaining inner equilibrium amid external changes.
**The Icarus Myth Correction**: The debunking of the belief that proximity to the sun increases heat demonstrates how traditional myths can contain both truth and error. The higher one rises in consciousness, the greater the need for proper insulation from overwhelming spiritual energies.
**The Tolerance Variation**: The recognition that different species and individuals have varying temperature tolerances reveals the principle of constitutional differences that applies to spiritual as well as physical development. What proves beneficial for one may be harmful for another.
**The Breakdown Symptoms**: The detailed description of heat stroke symptoms—nervous disturbances, delirium, paralysis—shows how excessive environmental stress creates specific patterns of dysfunction. This provides guidance for recognizing when spiritual practices or environments exceed individual capacity.
### THE PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS
**Environmental Awareness**: Understanding how temperature affects consciousness helps explain why certain climates and environments support different types of spiritual practice. Extreme conditions require special preparation and protection.
**Regulatory Balance**: The emphasis on self-regulation mechanisms demonstrates that healthy spiritual development requires maintaining dynamic equilibrium rather than seeking extreme states. Forced spiritual experiences can create psychological equivalents of heat stroke.
**Gradual Adaptation**: The recognition that organisms can adapt to higher temperatures with proper preparation suggests that consciousness can gradually adjust to more intense spiritual conditions through systematic training.
**Warning Signs Recognition**: The detailed symptomatology provides guidance for recognizing when environmental or spiritual stress exceeds safe limits, allowing for preventive intervention before serious damage occurs.
This teaching bridges ancient wisdom about cosmic influences with modern scientific understanding, providing practical guidance for maintaining optimal conditions for both physical health and spiritual development.

## Cosmic Influences and Reactions of Living Beings (Continued)
### Cold Influences and Protective Mechanisms
**By Pitágoras S.I.**
[Note: This document continues the temperature study that was interrupted in the previous document, focusing on cold influences and completing the thermal analysis]
## COLD INFLUENCE ON LIVING BEINGS
**Cold Influence** — Just as excessive heat can cause serious disturbances in living beings, cold also exercises profound influences that can be equally dangerous when it exceeds the adaptive capacity of organisms.
While heat stroke results from the failure of cooling mechanisms, **cold injury** occurs when the body's heat production and conservation mechanisms cannot maintain adequate core temperature. The physiological response to cold involves several adaptive mechanisms:
### PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSES TO COLD
**Primary Responses:**
1. **Vasoconstriction** - Blood vessels in extremities constrict to preserve core temperature
2. **Shivering** - Involuntary muscle contractions generate heat through increased metabolism
3. **Increased Metabolism** - The body burns more fuel to produce internal heat
4. **Behavioral Adaptation** - Seeking shelter, adding clothing, increasing activity
**Secondary Effects:**
- Reduced circulation to hands and feet
- Increased heart rate and blood pressure
- Elevated respiratory rate
- Enhanced appetite for high-calorie foods
### COLD-RELATED PATHOLOGIES
When environmental cold exceeds the body's adaptive capacity, several conditions can develop:
**Hypothermia** - Core body temperature drops below normal levels (37°C/98.6°F). Symptoms progress from shivering and confusion to unconsciousness and cardiac arrest.
**Frostbite** - Localized freezing of tissue, typically affecting extremities. Ice crystals form within cells, causing permanent damage to affected areas.
**Trench Foot** - Prolonged exposure to cold, wet conditions causes tissue damage without actual freezing. Common in soldiers during winter campaigns.
**Chilblains** - Painful inflammation of small blood vessels in response to repeated cold exposure, particularly affecting fingers and toes.
### SPECIES AND INDIVIDUAL VARIATIONS
Just as with heat tolerance, different species and individuals show remarkable variation in cold adaptation:
**Arctic Animals** possess specialized adaptations:
- Thick fur or blubber insulation
- Counter-current heat exchange in extremities
- Modified hemoglobin for cold-weather oxygen transport
- Behavioral adaptations like hibernation or migration
**Human Populations** show adaptation to cold climates:
- Inuit peoples have higher basal metabolic rates
- Increased brown fat deposits for heat generation
- Cultural adaptations in clothing and shelter
- Dietary preferences for high-fat foods
### THE PROTECTIVE MECHANISMS
The body's defense against cold operates through multiple integrated systems:
**Insulation Systems:**
- Subcutaneous fat layers
- Hair follicle erection (goosebumps)
- Clothing and shelter (cultural adaptations)
**Heat Production:**
- Shivering thermogenesis
- Non-shivering thermogenesis (brown fat)
- Increased voluntary activity
**Heat Conservation:**
- Peripheral vasoconstriction
- Postural changes (hunching, curling up)
- Behavioral seeking of warm environments
**Metabolic Adjustments:**
- Increased appetite
- Preference for warming foods
- Enhanced fat metabolism
### THE WISDOM OF TEMPERATURE BALANCE
This analysis reveals that optimal health requires maintaining dynamic equilibrium between heat and cold influences. Neither extreme heat nor extreme cold supports life effectively; instead, organisms thrive within specific temperature ranges that allow normal metabolic function.
**The Adaptation Principle**: Both heat and cold stress strengthen organisms within limits, but beyond those limits cause damage or death. This mirrors the spiritual principle that appropriate challenges strengthen character while excessive stress causes breakdown.
**The Regulation Mystery**: The precision of temperature regulation mechanisms demonstrates the sophisticated intelligence operating through apparently simple biological functions. This suggests that consciousness itself may operate through similar homeostatic principles.
**The Environmental Interaction**: The constant adjustment between internal temperature and external conditions reveals life as a dynamic process of relationship rather than a static state. This applies equally to psychological and spiritual development.
### PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS FOR CONSCIOUS LIVING
**Environmental Awareness**: Understanding thermal influences helps explain seasonal mood changes, energy fluctuations, and optimal conditions for different types of work and practice.
**Health Maintenance**: Recognition of temperature stress symptoms allows for preventive measures before serious dysfunction develops.
**Spiritual Correlation**: The principles governing thermal adaptation apply equally to emotional and mental equilibrium. Extreme conditions require special preparation and protection in all areas of life.
**Seasonal Wisdom**: The natural temperature cycles suggest appropriate rhythms for activity and rest, expansion and conservation, that support both physical health and spiritual development.
This scientific analysis validates traditional knowledge about seasonal influences and climate effects while providing practical guidance for maintaining optimal conditions for health and spiritual development throughout the annual cycle.
The completion of this temperature study demonstrates how cosmic influences operate through measurable physical mechanisms, validating ancient wisdom through modern understanding while providing practical tools for conscious adaptation to environmental changes.

### **THE WILLERMOZIST GENIUS**
Pitágoras's documentation of Jean Baptiste Willermoz's secret strategy demonstrates how authentic spiritual transmission adapts to institutional opportunities while preserving essential teachings:
**The Strategic Vision**: Willermoz's plan to infuse Cohen doctrine into Templar Masonry through the Grand Congress of Gauls (1778) reveals how esoteric knowledge preserves itself by finding new vehicles when original forms become inadequate.
**The Elite Formation**: The creation of Profession degrees within existing Masonic structures shows how authentic initiation creates living centers of transformation within larger institutional frameworks without compromising essential content.
**The Historical Validation**: The success of this approach—producing the Scottish Rectified Rite that survives into the 21st century—proves the validity of adaptive transmission over rigid preservation of obsolete forms.
**The Timing Principle**: Willermoz's recognition that political necessity could provide cover for spiritual transformation demonstrates sophisticated understanding of how esoteric work operates through apparently secular opportunities.
### **THE ASTROLOGICAL COMPLETION**
Surya's analysis of Pisces provides profound insights into the consciousness required for civilizational endings and new beginnings:
**The Flood Symbolism**: Pisces as the "sign of the flood" that washes away winter's accumulations perfectly describes the post-war cleansing required to prepare for new growth. This is not destruction but purification.
**The Divine Equilibrium**: The description of Pisces completing the cosmic journey "initiated with the eruptive, dazzling and dominant fire of Aries, to terminate in the opposite pole, water, symbol of universal equilibrium" reveals the sign's function as synthesis of all previous zodiacal experiences.
**The Feet of the Cosmic Man**: The association with the foundation of the Great Archetypal Man indicates Pisces energy as providing the grounding necessary for spiritual consciousness to operate effectively in material existence.
**The Sons of Joseph**: The connection to Ephraim and Manasseh—who received their inheritance despite being born in exile—shows Pisces' capacity to find spiritual fulfillment within material circumstances, transforming apparent defeat into genuine victory.
### **THE ALCHEMICAL REGENERATION**
Asuri Kapila's systematic analysis of the 22 essential elements provides the complete foundation for post-war physical reconstruction:
**The Sacred Correspondences**: The 22-element system reflects Hebrew alphabet, Tree of Life paths, and Tarot trumps, demonstrating that physical regeneration operates through the same cosmic principles governing spiritual transformation.
**The Organic Imperative**: The emphasis that elements must come from living sources rather than artificial supplements anticipates by decades the understanding of bioavailability and demonstrates alchemical knowledge of life force transmission.
**The Deficiency-Disease Correlations**: The systematic connection between specific nutritional deficiencies and particular psychological symptoms provides practical foundation for understanding how material conditions affect consciousness states.
**The Crystal Comparison**: The analogy between natural crystals (possessing brilliance, electricity, magnetism) and synthetic ones (lacking these qualities) reveals understanding that living substances contain energetic properties not found in artificial substitutes.
### **THE BUDDHIST HEALING WISDOM**
The Maha Boddhi Sangha teachings provide essential ethical foundation for rebuilding civilized society after the moral devastation of war:
**The Four Noble Practices**: The systematic approach to purifying speech—avoiding lies, gossip, harsh language, and useless conversation—demonstrates how authentic spiritual development requires mastery over communication's subtle influences.
**The Social Healing Function**: The emphasis on bringing together the distanced and consolidating the united reveals Buddhism's understanding that practitioners serve as social healers using speech to create harmony rather than division.
**The Synchronized Practice**: The specific meditation times create collective consciousness fields that amplify individual practice through group participation, providing practical methods for planetary healing during critical periods.
**The Hidden Ashrams**: References to servers gathering in "hidden ashrams of the Cordillera" reveal organized networks maintaining continuous spiritual work for world healing during historical transitions.
### **THE AVATAR COORDINATION**
The Suddha Dharma Mandalam materials demonstrate how divine consciousness manifests through systematic preparation:
**The Prophetic Precision**: The exact prediction of Bhagavan Mitra Deva's birth date (January 16, 1919) six days in advance validates authentic spiritual authority and demonstrates cosmic timing in Avatar manifestation.
**The Ceremonial Science**: The detailed Full Moon observances provide complete methodology for maintaining connection with Avatar consciousness during planetary transformation periods.
**The Global Mission**: The prayers for universal sympathy between governors and governed reveal the Avatar's purpose as planetary evolution rather than sectarian advancement.
**The Collective Preparation**: The synchronized meditation instructions show how group consciousness can be systematically aligned to support divine manifestation and mission fulfillment.
