## Awaken!

If you dream among the smoke of vain fantasy, if your life passes without joys or sorrows, if you flee from silence and fear solitude, if you only believe in pleasure, **beware!** for you are a soul that sleeps although in a body that sleeps and awakens; you are less than a tree, perhaps less than a stone.

If it is true that you do not love children nor care about the beauty of flowers, if you feel nothing with music, believe me, you sleep... and with the semi-eternal sleep of things.

**Awaken!** Live the joy of suffering for those who suffer, love peace, **feel it!** and only then will you come to understand the beautiful truths that hide beyond the deformed forms of your world.

When you have achieved peace for your spirit, from silence you will listen in the hours of meditation, the sacred music revealing eternal truth, which only those who have made themselves worthy of feeling it possess, since being truth it has no translation to the relative language of men. Truth is eternal and being so will always escape the finite conception of the known senses. It has no translation to the world of reasoning, although it does have one to a very different world, the world of feelings, cause and reason for the existence of creative geniuses, who have only been men whose sensitivity has permitted them to be closer to truth than the rest of the men of their epoch.

Continuing the study of the Zodiacal Signs, we will examine, in today's article, the characteristics of:

## TAURUS or the Bull

**Taurus symbolizes fecundity and procreative forces.** It gives a harsh and reserved character, slow to anger, but afterward violent and even furious, with certain avidity and inclination toward sensual pleasures and gluttony. It makes, however, the person careful, laborious and persevering. It presides over industrial activity and its applications, as well as over the vivifying faculties of silent and isolated thought.

In the **Symbolic Plane**, representing the faculties of fecundity and procreation, in all parts of nature, its genius was figured by **Aphrodite**, generally represented with two horns on the head, like the Bull. It suffers the influence of fixed stars of Saturnian nature, like **"Menkar"** and **"Jaw of the Whale"**, which announce little fortune, misfortunes, illnesses or dangers caused by large animals.

However, **the 15th degree elevates to fortune, grants good moral qualities and great firmness of character**; it causes great travels, especially if Venus or the Moon are found there.

**The Religion of Suddha Dharma, which is the future World Religion, constitutes the maximum common integral in which all current religions of the world converge, at the same time that each of them conserves its own characteristics.**

Many are the routes that lead to London, let us say for example, but to render homage to His Majesty the King in his own antechamber there is only one path. Similarly, all religions of the world can facilitate their protagonists to create certain comprehension of God and thus give solid root to their faith in God, **but the religion of Suddha Dharma is the only one that conducts the aspirant to the Divine Presence.** For this reason the great **Adi Shankara** has said: **"Suddha Dharma sanchitha nimithena... dharsitha yoga margaha"**.

### The Ancient Authority of Suddha Dharma

This declaration, made no less than by such an authority, as was that Great expositor of the famous **"advaita"** and **"maya-vada"** doctrine, strongly highlights two important facts. **First, that the Religion of Suddha Dharma already existed prior to him, and second, that this is a Science of Yoga.**

**It also follows from this that Shankara's own exposition of the doctrine on the Unity of God is only a partial representation of the great postulates of Suddha Dharma, of yogic origin**, and that, by the very nature of its most elevated goodness, this Science guarded its secret even from Shankara himself, permitting him barely to know its name. Be that as it may, **this Hinduism—this name has come to stay—is nothing more than a fossilized remains of an aspect of Suddha Dharma, which now only has the character of verbal message, very contradictory of itself and which has excluded the very important aspect of Yoga as something entirely apart.**

However, **only in times we remember has Yoga been dragged into the fold of this religion, so atrociously and improperly denominated Hinduism.**

But, what Yoga is this? **It is not the Yoga that Adi Shankara knew as Suddha Dharma, but rather those processes of mental and physical gymnastics that usually bear the name of Yoga, processes evidently lacking all spiritual efficacy** that a Master, from Pondicherry, has believed himself entitled to declare that all existing yogas are insufficient, and he pretends to be the inaugurator of a new Yoga system and, moreover, that his system unites with that of the Gita, even when he well knows that none of this is true.

**We live in an admirable era, an era in which we not only see the marvels of material sciences springing up everywhere, but spiritual instructors also sprout en masse. Wherever one travels in this country, it is certain that one will stumble upon some "spiritual prodigy."** This amuses us greatly. And yet, it seems that both tendencies are necessary, according to divine will, perhaps because they represent sporadic **prakritic** and **atmic** shoots of Suddha Dharma. If it were not so, these things could not endure here for so long.

I believe it was a Hindu who said that **India is struggling to feel its own soul.** There is some truth in this affirmation, even if the animating impulse of this movement is absolutely misdirected. **In reality, India has launched itself to rediscover the lost principles of Suddha Dharma; but she is dangerously wasting her energies, in diverse directions, because she has not yet realized this.** All those voices that clamor asking for some crumb, in reality only seek the manner to reach this sound food of Suddha Dharma.

**Not only India; the entire World is clamoring for this nectar of Suddha Dharma, and this is the Yoga that leads us to spiritual and material realization.**

**The persons who follow this path of Suddha Dharma, know the truth about this Sanatana Dharma, as well as about the dramas of determined times, places and personalities.** Without any confusion they follow the path of spiritual and worldly Glory, in complete peace with themselves, without need to face the problems related to acceptance or renunciation of the world.

**These persons live an existence free of all elective differentiation, because their life requires the simultaneous realization of both things, that is, the mundane and the spiritual**, and this they achieve as a result of the direct perception generated by the **Suddha Diksha** that is conferred upon them by the **Great Beings of SUDDHA DHARMA MANDALAM**.

**Without the Suddha Diksha, it is said that such Yoga is difficult to achieve, moreover, it is impossible, however much one may strive for it.** This has been said by **Hamsa Yogi** in unequivocal terms: **"Prayatnasadhyo Na bhaveth Kalpakotichathirapi, thathascha dikshithir yogaha prapyaha ayadhithisattama"**.
