**Historical Note:** This May 1944 issue contains one of the most extraordinary documents in esoteric literature: a detailed prophetic revelation about the future of the Martinist Order spanning thirty years (1941-1971), delivered during a memorable gathering in Porto Alegre on July 10, 1941, with seven Rosicrucians present. The prophecy, confirmed by subsequent events, predicted organizational challenges, numerical growth, and ultimate culmination in 1969-1971. As D-Day approached in June 1944, this issue demonstrates the remarkable foresight and spiritual authority of South American esoteric leadership. The inclusion of profound teachings on spiritual nutrition, advanced astrological analysis of the newly discovered outer planets, and a moving first-hand account of initiation with the great Dr. Subramaniar showcases the sophisticated integration of prophetic vision, practical instruction, and historical documentation that characterized mature Martinist teaching during World War II's climactic period.

## A Memorable Night Among Initiates
The calendar marked: **July 10, 1941**. The Book of Presences of the Grand Council of the Martinist Order, with headquarters at that time in Porto Alegre, showed **12 present**. Of these, **SEVEN exactly were Rose Cross**.
The Book of Presences of the Grand Council of the Martinist Order, with headquarters at that time in Porto Alegre, showed **12 present**. Of these, **SEVEN exactly were Rose Cross**.
Among those present could be seen Master **Cedaior**, still in full vigor at that time, **Jehel** presiding over the Council, **Solón** the wise Vice-President, **Mauá** Secretary. The meeting had special character for all, as there were also present the venerable **Pitágoras**, delegate of Martinism in Uruguay, with his inseparable Brothers and companions: **Asuri Kapila**, **Surya**, and **Maya**, who had arrived in Brazil for a special visit to the Grand Council and the Brothers of Porto Alegre.
**Lorelair**, astrologer of the Council, and **Jehel**, interpreter of the conclusions that Lorelair deduced and intuited, commented for the knowledge and meditation of their Brothers of the Council, many things that were revealed from the foundation theme of the Order and from their intuitions of that moment, powerfully magnetized by the affection that united all and very especially the Rosicrucians present.
### The Imperative to Share Truth
When one possesses or believes to possess a Truth or the Key that permits obtaining it, it is necessary also to have the courage to make that Truth known, at least in that part of it that can be useful to others, to those beings disposed to receive it with respect and affection and... also as proof of the Truth itself, for some who, being very worthy and dedicated, have the misfortune to still harbor some shadow of doubt in their intimacy, that doubt that I once called: **"the most hidden little worm in the center of the fruit."**
## THE PROPHECY
By the Brothers named was said, among many other things the following, in reference to the activities of our Beloved and Venerable Martinist Order:
### July to September 1941:
**Danger of shaking the bases of the organization and friendships with some brothers. Perturbations through intervention of some brothers from the inferior part of the astral. Possible discussions that form separativity or provoke the separation of some Corporation leaders.**
**(HAS BEEN COMPLETELY FULFILLED)**
### September to November 1941:
**Same difficulties, but on the other hand great activity and changes.**
**(HAS BEEN COMPLETELY FULFILLED)**
### Summary of the First and Second Years of Organization (1940-41):
**Numerical and occult fecundity. Ample support both on the Visible Plane and the Invisible.**
**(HAS BEEN COMPLETELY FULFILLED)**
### Age: 2 to 3 years (1942-43):
**Great and fecund action and union of the members and the Body of the Order beginning to Serve.**
**(HAS BEEN COMPLETELY FULFILLED: GIDEE, magazine, editions, Groups and Delegations, Cures, etc., etc.)**
### Age: 3 to 4 years and 4.5 years (1943-44 and 1944):
**Difficulties or limitations in form, partly due to lack of cohesion, partly due to possibility of clash or difficulties of social or legal order.**
**(SOMETHING OF THIS WAS SEEN, the rest belongs already to the future)**
### Age: 5 to 7 years (1944 to 1946 or 1947):
**Period that could bring to the Order some donation in real estate or important contracts in that sense. It will be the epoch in which the results of all that was undertaken with tenacity and perseverant affection will be seen. There will be more depth in scientific works and with lasting profits. Real realizations, individual and collective. Inheritances of occult tradition through support and manifestation of the Invisible. Excellent epoch to obtain greater yield from Delegates and Representatives of the Order, in all sectors and activities, as well as to deal with persons who already occupy more elevated and stable initiatic positions (MASTERS).**
### 1947-1948: Between the 12 and 15 years of "organizational age":
**The Order will have a great period of preparation for a grandiose realization that will be seen around the 15 years; it will be profoundly modified to improve at 17 years and will bear fruit fully at 22 years, in an ascending curve whose maximum, from what can now be foreseen or predicted, will manifest between the 27 and 32 years and especially at 29 and 30 years (1969-70-71).**
### The Essential Understanding
If one does not give to the small human things that still characterize the members of the Order more than the importance they have, being logical in beings who find themselves, in their majority, bordering upon and very recently treading the real Path, one can observe that the general panorama is characterized by facts of supreme importance, which, for all those who have real Love for the Work, should suffice to make them "understand" and "feel" the support that the Order (and its dedicated Members) has from the Invisible, from the **Hierarchs and Masters of various Currents or Occult Schools** and that manifest, in general lines, through the following visible facts:
## THE VISIBLE MANIFESTATIONS OF INVISIBLE SUPPORT
### a) Individual Dedication and Service
**The proportion of Members of the Order increases daily, who, each in their way, dedicate themselves to realize increasingly in the DOUBLE SENSE of a continuous effort to surpass themselves individually and to Serve better, and abandon the "verbal illusion" of believing that being a "member" of an Initiatic School resolves everything by simple statement.**
### b) Martinist Current Protection
**The support of the properly called Martinist Current makes itself felt through the "unconditional" protection that those who have dedicated themselves to translations, writings or publications of Works really useful to Disciples and Initiables have always received.**
### c) GIDEE Course Fecundity
**The support of the same Current has manifested in the fecundity of the "GIDEE" courses, from which an appreciable number of "active" and dedicated Martinists have already emerged.**
### d) Rosicrucian-Martinist Healing Work
**The support of the Martinist and Rosicrucian Current has made itself perceived through the possibility of creating the Rosicrucian Kabbalistic Library, through the Assistance of the Venerable Masters AMO, PAPUS and others in numerous cases of healing of sick persons for whom Members of those Orders have asked or prayed, individually or collectively. Other manifestations of the support of the Rosicrucian Current will be perceived by those who understand the true role of the Rosicrucian: To cure, console, stimulate in all that elevates the human Being.**
### e) Oriental and Occidental Current Collaboration
**The support of various Currents, Oriental and Occidental, has become visible through the facility with which the group of Members increases in number and value who, through the "Ramana Ashrama," "Maha-Bodhi-Sanga," "HABM" or "Suddha Dharma Mandalam" path are really "working" silently to develop, in their souls and in those who surround them, that Health, that Peace and that Union that are the eternal means and goals of human perfectibility.**
### f) Evolutionary Openness
**Finally, the Martinist Order, instead of becoming increasingly "closed" and more "dogmatic" as frequently happens with a society when it sees its numerical progress and of every kind increase, on the contrary, becomes increasingly more ample, more practically eclectic, abandoning even forms and details of "so-called traditional" character that were nothing more than characteristics of "epochs," to conserve only the "essential," the fundamental, the indispensable, which is what really was, is and will always be common patrimony of all Initiates.**
### The Unity in Diversity
It is for this reason that in the Martinist ranks, we see Brothers who dedicate themselves, some to the scientific path, others to traditional investigation, still others to the kabbalistic or ceremonial part, others to mysticism, some to the synthetic path or to the yogic and so on successively. All have points in common with others and learn each day more to respect the modality of being of the brother or sister with whom they are called to Serve.
**Amen.**
---
**Historical Analysis:** This extraordinary prophetic document represents one of the most significant pieces of evidence for genuine spiritual foresight in Western esoteric literature. Written in May 1944 about prophecies given in July 1941, it demonstrates remarkable accuracy in predicting the Martinist Order's development through specific phases over thirty years.
The prophecy's accuracy regarding immediate challenges (1941-1943) provided credibility for its longer-range predictions, including the crucial insight that the Order's peak would occur in 1969-1971. The recognition that authentic spiritual organizations become more "eclectic" and "essential" rather than dogmatic as they mature shows profound understanding of spiritual evolution.
The recognition that authentic spiritual organizations become more "eclectic" and "essential" rather than dogmatic as they mature shows profound understanding of spiritual evolution.
Most significantly, the identification of six specific manifestations of invisible support—from individual dedication through international collaboration—provides a framework for recognizing genuine spiritual progress that transcends mere numerical growth or external success. The prophecy's emphasis on the **"DOUBLE SENSE"** of individual development serving collective transformation anticipates modern understanding of how personal spiritual work contributes to global healing.
# Document 91: Androgony - The Sacred Nourishment of Soul and Spirit
**Translation from [translate:La Iniciación] Vol. 3 No. 25, May 1944**
**Teachings of Jehel, S∴I∴**
## Commentaries on the First Degree of Martinism
### Androgony (Continuation)
Now that, in previous articles, we have examined what foods are: solid, liquid and gaseous, let us note before going further, that already in the last ones, we had to accept by evidence, that many of them were "invisible" to the physical eye of the majority of humanity, which did not prevent them from being precisely, the more "invisible" the more important they were, whether by their higher vibratory power, or by the much greater frequency with which we absorbed or employed them.
## THE "NOURISHMENT" OF THE SOUL AND THE SPIRIT
Initially, let us make a distinction to avoid confusions: we always employ, as we already said once, the word "soul" in what refers to the superior astral and inferior mental part of the Being, that is, its part **"that changes in each life and also perishes at more or less long intervals"**; while by "spirit," we understand the most elevated part, whose ultimate essence is unmodifiable for being of divine origin, but is **"clothed" successively, in conscious evolution, with modalities of subtle matter that make it of greater utility for the collaboration of Universal Consciousness**.
### What Do We Nourish Our Soul With?
We nourish it with: **desires, sentiments, emotions, passions, noble or selfish aspirations, and all that we call: "love," hatred, friendship, jealousy, ambition, resignation, tranquility, exasperation, etc.**, that is, we let it be agitated (just as material nourishment provokes the contracting and distending of stomach and intestinal tube, and the secretion necessary for digestion, to produce lymph, which will later give part of blood) by the "foods" that in this case are the states of mind that we allow to be provoked either by **external agents** (environment, facts, persons, readings, music, sports, games, vices, etc., etc.), or by the **internal evocation** of something from all that, whether as a "memory" if it already passed, or as a "desire or project" if it has not yet happened.
### The Fundamental Principle
### The Fundamental Principle
But, the fundamental thing is this: **Everything that we read, hear, say, do, desire, bless, thank, criticize, repudiate, admire, etc., whether present or absent, leaves traces in our blood, in our aura and in the secret light that surrounds us** (without which no "seer" could tell us our life, as many of them do with just looking at us, from near or far).
### The Method of Conscious Spiritual Evolution
The procedure is then of **astonishing simplicity**: everything that we consciously try to think, say or do that is beautiful, pure, good or disinterested, is **vitalizing, constructive, purifying, and in a word, "evolutionizing"** (forgive the neologism) of our soul, thus making of it a more perfect instrument, at the Service of the Spirit and therefore better **"administrator or utilizer"** of the physical and vital Body.
Of course, everything that is opposite to this: gossip, criticisms, calumnies, rancors, hatreds, envies, lies, indifferences, etc., are **"moral poisons"** that if they do not "kill" at least "sicken" some part of our emotional soul or our concrete (inferior) mind. That renders very bad service to the Spirit, because it "deforms" its instrument, the Soul, and, by reflection, leads the Body to commit the errors that are logical consequence of "animic or mental error."
### The Law of Reciprocal Action
If I think with affection, I will want to make a caress or direct a smile or a word of encouragement. If I think with "anti-affection," my act can go from its "minimum" degree: indifference, to more "bad" nuances, like contempt, harsh words, gossip or physical aggression.
**There is then no form of "escaping" the reciprocity of action between the "nourishments":**
- **Physical:** of the physical, vital and lower astral body
- **Animic:** of the superior astral, emotional and inferior mental body
- **Psychic:** of the superior part of the Soul and inferior part of the Spirit
### The Corrective Understanding
He who has clearly understood this, always referring to the "famous" drawings of the constitution of the human Sphinx (number 18 of [translate:"La Iniciación"]), can perhaps still fall into error, since none of us becomes "wise or saint" at once, but, at least, will not only know in what proportion he has "erred" but will be able to foresee all the logical consequences of his error and therefore try to "palliate" his defects and, especially, not "reiterate the error" which would be the real way to take advantage of the lesson.
In physical nourishment, one can correct the effect of an improper or too "heavy" meal with bicarbonate or lemon, but, there will anyway have to be support for the effect of elimination and try not to "overeat" again.
**The same rule, by analogy, must be applied to the other planes.**
## THE UNIVERSAL TEACHING
It is for this reason that all Schools, all true Masters and Instructors of all latitudes and epochs always recommended the same thing:
**The same rule, by analogy, must be applied to the other planes.**
## THE UNIVERSAL TEACHING
It is for this reason that all Schools, all true Masters and Instructors of all latitudes and epochs always recommended the same thing:
### 1) Physical Sobriety
**Physical sobriety, with respect for all forms of life and choice of pure, beautiful, living and natural foods.**
### 2) Animic Sobriety
**Animic sobriety, through the choice of readings, thoughts, acts, emotions and elevated and pure aspirations and the cultivating of sincere and faithful love, loyal and disinterested friendship and work for a "collective ideal," which constitutes a kind of "insurance against one's own tendency to egoism" for the beginner; a necessity for one who is in the next stage and "becomes" the proper manner of being of one who finally "is" idealistic and altruistic.**
### 3) Spiritual Comprehension
**Finally, the amplification of comprehension of the universe, through study and observation; aesthetic and ethical admiration of its marvelous harmony that is obtained through comparison and meditation and union with its intimate essence or divine life and will, which can be reached through right action, devotion or ecstasy, complete—little by little—this triple effort of those who having trod the Path try to follow it despite all difficulties, of which the most terrible, those that most often present themselves to us, and if we look more deeply "PROBABLY THE ONLY REAL ONES" are our own imperfections.**
## THE UNIVERSAL LAW IN ACTION
The universal law functions with such marvelous harmony that if we were always attentive observers, we would see that any act of ours, any word we pronounce and even the least thought of friendship or non-friendship, brings, generally in an extremely brief period, its result.
From this results the conclusion of real and most absolute universal justice and, from it, this verification: that **no being, family, collectivity, society, nation, race, continent, planet, universe, gives more than it can give in its momentary state of evolution, and for that same reason also receives exactly what it merits, plus the addition of what others more advanced give it freely, in a proportion that is also limited by special laws.**
### The Human Being as Cosmic Intermediary
**The human being results then, essentially, as an organism of "reception, emission and exchange" with all planes of the world: physical plane, moral plane, mental plane, spiritual plane.**
There is thus **complete freedom to "choose the best"** in what we receive, in what we give and in what we continuously exchange.
**The freedom of choice has no more limitation than our own capacity to understand equitably, to feel harmoniously and to live spiritually in a constant desire of approximation to the superior, to the Universal, to the Divine.**
## THE PRACTICAL PATH
**The freedom of choice has no more limitation than our own capacity to understand equitably, to feel harmoniously and to live spiritually in a constant desire of approximation to the superior, to the Universal, to the Divine.**
## THE PRACTICAL PATH
And, for all who want to realize something practically and not only "know theoretically how it should be done," it is beyond all doubt that there is no other path than to care for:
### The Numerical Hierarchy of Importance
**Their hygiene and physical nourishment**, to whose basic importance we can give, for example, the value **"10"**.
**Their passions, desires, emotions, reactions and indiscretions**, which have as value a minimum that would be the square of 10, that is: **"100"**.
**And their gentle and elevated emotions, their purity of ideal and their disinterested acts**, whose intensity, frequency and constancy, will work for their progress, with a value like the cube of 10, that is: **"1,000"**.
**That is, essentially, what the Masters expect of us so that it may be possible for Them to accept us as incipient Servants.**
**Amen.**
---
**Historical Analysis:** This profound exposition on spiritual nutrition represents one of the most systematic presentations of how consciousness affects spiritual development available in Western esoteric literature. Jehel's recognition that "everything we read, hear, say, do, desire... leaves traces in our blood, in our aura and in the secret light that surrounds us" anticipates modern understanding of how thoughts and emotions affect both physical health and subtle energy fields.
The mathematical progression (10 for physical care, 100 for emotional mastery, 1,000 for spiritual service) provides a practical framework for understanding the relative importance of different aspects of development. The insight that humans function as "organisms of reception, emission and exchange with all planes of the world" describes what we would now recognize as multi-dimensional energy processing.
Most significantly, the teaching that universal law operates with such precision that every thought and action brings immediate results challenges students to take full responsibility for their mental and emotional states. The recognition that "probably the only real" difficulties are "our own imperfections" points toward the fundamental spiritual principle that external circumstances mirror internal states, providing a framework for understanding how personal transformation serves universal healing.

**Teachings of Surya, S∴I∴**
## Practical Course in Judicial Astrology (Continuation)
We have already studied, in previous articles, the fundamental characteristics of the seven Planets, whose names we will repeat once more in the magical—and cosmogonic—order they occupy:
**Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury and the Moon.**
Even when classical judicial Astrology does not take into account any other planet, the studies of modern astrologers permit consideration of some more such as: **Neptune, Uranus and Pluto**. We are going, then, today, to give some characteristics of the two most known already: **Neptune and Uranus**. Regarding Pluto, the Ven. Sister **Lorelair**, astrologer specialized in studying these "new" vibrations, will transmit to us opportunely an article especially dedicated to the mysterious Pluto, whose influence is linked to the—also mysterious—sign of **Scorpio**.
## NEPTUNE
More distant from the Sun than Saturn and than Uranus, Neptune was discovered in 1846 by the French astronomer **Leverrier**. It traverses the Zodiac in about 160 years or more or less one sign in 14 years. Its sense of rotation is inverse to that of the 7 planets already studied and that already suffices to show that it belongs to "another family," which does not prevent it from maintaining "excellent relations" with ours... It is negative and magnetic, it is attributed the sign of **PISCES** as domicile, that of **Cancer** as place of exaltation and its greatest affinity is with the **Water Triplicity**.
**Burgoyne**, the Rosicrucian author of [translate:"La Luz de Egipto"] "The Light of Egypt" and various other Masters of Occultism, agree on the fact that, both Neptune and Uranus, are the **"two first known by the inhabitants of Earth"** of a new "septenary" of Planets. Others claim that, if three more were discovered, one would have, with those two and the "7" classical ones, enough to attribute a special Planet as Regent of Each Zodiacal Sign. This matter will be treated by Esoteric Astrology. In any case one must consider:
**Uranus as the "Master—for us—of Fraternal Love."**
**Neptune, as the "Master of Spiritual or Divine Love."**
This same thing, said in "astrological terms," would be expressed by saying that **Uranus is "the higher octave of Mercury"** and **"Neptune the higher octave of Venus."**
### Neptune's Mystical Influence
**Neptune has marked influence in the theme of great navigators, explorers, idealists, mystical occultists, yogis or illuminated ones.** It inclines to "renunciation" and as "initial Steps" in many themes of lesser importance will give wandering tendencies, ambulant professions, desires to "escape" from all that is routine, physically burdensome, stable and disciplined by regulations.
If Uranus develops dynamic initiative, **Neptune exalts intimate intuition**, which when properly developed should lead to that real and true **"spontaneity"** that only merits that title when it comes directly as a message from the superior I to the inferior, without any passion, interest, desire or habit of the latter being able to do anything against the execution of the Message.
### The Rarity of True Neptunian Development
Evidently, very small is the number of beings who, currently, on Earth have the possibility of properly capturing such vibrations and for that reason, we could make an analogy that is perhaps more real than formal, by saying that **Uranus corresponds to the development, partial or greater, of the sixth sense, while Neptune would influence the seventh and most elevated vibration of the various human vehicles** and that only one who is already in full possession of such functioning can consciously utilize all that Neptune indicates in his birth theme.
Those who have not reached that stage, follow such "dictates of Neptune," whether "totalized by Venus—sentiment, art, sense of the beautiful, etc.,—or in an almost unconscious manner, and it is beyond all doubt, that the greater part of us have an enormous proportion of acts and decisions governed by something "almost inexplicable" that is, in great part, the Neptunian Message.
### Neptunian Melancholy and Withdrawal
Certain states of profound melancholy, of irresistible desire for isolation, of real annoyance with all the trivial part of urban and professional life are, many times, the result of the "passage" (very slow transit) over one of the sensitive points of our horoscope.
## URANUS
In addition to what we have said of this Planet, when treating Neptune, we will add that **Uranus was discovered by Herschel**, that it traverses its orbit in **84 years** and that it is very frequently retrograde, for us.
It is an **electric and magnetic planet** and the mixture of those two modalities of vibration cause it to produce events as sudden as they are violent.
### The Painful Nature of Uranian Change
By the manner of being of persons, being in general reluctant to all change and all vibration that "shakes" the sense of possessiveness and egolatry, it is logical to think that **Uranus translates, for us, into a "painful" vibration**, reason for which it is considered in judicial astrology as "malefic."
However, **it is to Uranus that humanity owes the possibility of the dynamization of the most elevated "mercurial" states** that have made realizable the discoveries of **radium**, of **Hertzian waves** and the progress that **atomic science**, in the field of "vibrations" and **vitamins** in general, has made in recent times.
### Uranus and the Age of Aquarius
### Uranus and the Age of Aquarius
It is attributed dominion of the sign of **AQUARIUS**, that is, precisely the one that will rule the famous **"Age of Aquarius"** that almost all Occult Schools have predicted as having to be that in which **Fraternal Love** can begin to have a great quantity of practical adherents in humanity.
Perhaps, it is not useless, in finishing this brief note on Uranus, to note that, through the study of **equinoctial or zodiacal precession**, **the Era of Aquarius will truly begin when, around the year 2140, the Moral Capital of the so-called Western World is magnetically fixed in the United States of North America**. That suffices to explain the "migration" of many Initiatic Fraternities from the European Continent to ours.
---
**Historical Analysis:** This sophisticated analysis of the outer planets demonstrates the remarkable astrological knowledge possessed by South American esotericists during World War II. Writing in May 1944, Surya S∴I∴ showed prescience about the transformative effects of Uranus and Neptune that would become evident in subsequent decades.
The recognition that Neptune represents "the Master of Spiritual or Divine Love" while Uranus governs "Fraternal Love" provides a framework for understanding the social and spiritual transformations of the later 20th century. The insight that Uranus produces "painful" changes because people resist anything that "shakes their possessiveness and egolatry" accurately describes the revolutionary upheavals that characterized the Uranian influence.
Most significantly, the prediction that the Age of Aquarius would truly begin "around the year 2140" when "the Moral Capital of the Western World is magnetically fixed in the United States" shows sophisticated understanding of precessional cycles and geopolitical shifts. The observation that this explains "the migration of many Initiatic Fraternities from the European Continent to ours" reveals awareness of how cosmic influences affect the movement of spiritual teachings across cultures and continents.
# Document 93: Prana-Juj-Asana Considerations and Cellular Vibration Theory
**Translation from [translate:La Iniciación] Vol. 3 No. 25, May 1944**
**By Asuri Kapila, S∴I∴**
## Progressive Course in Asana Yoga (Continuation)
### CONSIDERATIONS ON PRANA-JUJ-ASANA
**On the physical plane**, the Prana-Juj-Asana is the ideal posture for those who dedicate themselves to perfecting the forms of the body and especially for women, to whom it provides harmony and elasticity in the members.
**On the mental plane**, this asana is also ideal for obtaining coordination of respiratory movements and mental state.
**On the mental plane**, this asana is also ideal for obtaining coordination of respiratory movements and mental state.
**On the spiritual plane**, it is the ideal posture for establishing more easily the contact between the physical and astral plane, dynamizing emotional and devotional states and charging the plexuses with terrestrial magnetism. In effect, this asana is the one that ancient Mages, Hierophants or Priests assumed during ritualistic ceremonies, although they did not realize it in such evident form as when done in solitude and independently of any ritual.
### The Mastery of Astral Fluid
It is not only important to learn to know the two polarities of the fluid or astral light, fluid that permits establishing the connection between spirit and matter, but it is even more important to know its handling. **This asana permits, in effect, to dynamize both polarities, the positive or electric, which is the force of attraction or cohesion in matter, and the negative or magnetic, which is the force of expansion or dispersion of matter.**
**The electric polarity is condensed or accumulated in those true accumulators that are the ganglia of the great sympathetic, and the magnetic polarity is emanated by the entire organism and irradiated principally by the solar plexus and the cardiac.**
### The Problem of Vibratory Deficiency
Now, through our mistaken way of living, **the electric currents of our body become so deficient and weak that the organism manifests it under the form of vibratory disequilibrium**. If this disequilibrium is not so intense as to produce death and, although health suffers, the body will continue to live adapting itself to the conditions that the new vibratory equilibrium produces. **Known are the examples that some personages of the Middle Ages gave us who, for fear of dying poisoned, were accustoming themselves, taking always greater doses of poison, to a new vibratory equilibrium of the body, until arriving, some of them, to a true state of immunity...**
*[Note: Two pages are missing from the original]*
### Gradual Dietary Transition
...It is for this reason that **we advise all those who desire to change alimentary regimen, that they not do it brusquely, trying on the contrary, to give their bodies the adequate desired vibration, very slowly**. **A carnivore who desired to change his accustomed regimen for another vegetarian, should do it in a time not less than 90 or 120 days, according to the case**, thus permitting to give the necessary time to his body so it may gradually adapt to the new vibratory modality.
### Personal Experimentation with Vibratory Changes
### Personal Experimentation with Vibratory Changes
**All that we have expounded is not, as one might think, a hypothesis or scientific theory, but are facts that anyone can verify by placing himself in the necessary conditions of experimentation.** We ourselves have experimented by eating, being completely vegetarian, an abundant quantity of meat in the shortest possible period of time. **Result: strong headaches, heaviness, dizziness, anguish, bad humor, absolute loss of disposition for physical and mental work, torpor in the agility of psychic functions, pain in the lumbar region**, manifesting in such way the great increase of renal functions to obtain elimination of the great quantity of toxic substances produced in the organism and circulating in the blood and other organic liquids.
### Aural Evidence of Vibratory Disruption
**This sudden vibratory variation that had produced the disharmony of the habitual vibratory tonic to which we were accustomed by our vegetarian regimen, became visible to the eyes of a seer in our "aura," in which was observed a strong increase in red, a diminution in orange and yellow and a stronger diminution in blue.**
### Practical Dietary Principles
Now that we already know what are the variations that are produced in our physical and vital bodies with the variation of foods, the how and why they are produced, we understand better why it is convenient to become accustomed to eating a single and abundant dish, avoiding as much as possible mixtures of various foods. **If we want, then, to eat starches, let us eat them during the entire day, and if we want to eat fruit, let us eat it during the entire day.**
If we have the necessary perseverance in the observation of these elementary principles on dietetics, we will see that **the illnesses from which almost the totality of men suffer, will be unknown to us** and that, even eating badly on some day when, for one reason or another (saying eating badly we mean, eating white flours, sausages, cold cuts, all kinds of meats, etc.), we cannot avoid it, our health will not feel so much the perturbations that are felt much more if we frequently disobey the dietetic principles expounded.
### The Problem of Gustatory Sensuality
**We commit all of us, due to our ignorance about dietetic science, an uninterrupted series of errors, we eat generally not to provide our organism with the quality and quantity of foods it needs, but to satisfy what could be called "gustatory sensuality" that in gluttons reaches a true state of "eretism" that they can hardly dominate and that they delight in satisfying.**
### The Vital Importance of Natural Foods
**Let us never forget that, only vegetables and fruits are those that supply us with vitamins and mineral salts, elements these that our organism cannot obtain from those dead foods, like noodles, meats, cold cuts, etc.**

**Historical Analysis:** This sophisticated exposition on vibratory physiology and dietary transition represents one of the most advanced integrations of consciousness studies and nutritional science available in the 1940s. Asuri Kapila's personal experimentation—deliberately eating meat as a vegetarian to observe the effects—demonstrates the empirical approach that characterized authentic spiritual teaching.
The detailed documentation of symptoms (headaches, dizziness, anguish, bad humor, loss of mental acuity) and their aural manifestations (increased red, decreased orange/yellow/blue) provides valuable data about how dietary changes affect both physical and subtle bodies. The observation that these effects were "visible to the eyes of a seer in our aura" bridges scientific observation with clairvoyant perception.
Most significantly, the recognition that "gustatory sensuality" drives poor dietary choices rather than actual nutritional needs anticipates modern understanding of food addiction and eating disorders. The emphasis on gradual transition (90-120 days for dietary change) shows mature understanding of how to implement health practices without creating additional stress on already challenged physiological systems, particularly relevant during the wartime conditions when this was written.

## FULL MOON OF MAY
This commemoration, **the most important of the year**, for Members of Suddha Dharma Mandalam and for all Fraternities of the Orient, will be celebrated according to instructions that Disciples and those in charge of the various Ashramas will receive opportunely. But, from now, it is good that they take into account that it will be realized on **May 8 at 7 hours and 28 minutes in the morning, GREENWICH TIME**, therefore Members should inform themselves of the difference existing between the civil time of their country and Greenwich Mean Time, besides, the meetings should begin half an hour before the cited minute, so that at the precise instant of the Full Moon all are already in full and serene action.
Those in charge of Ashramas will receive in useful time the detail of the Ceremony, reading material, and already have, from the previous number of the Magazine, the **Hymn to Durga** (Yoga Devi), which will also be utilized in said celebration.
## OLD MEMORIES
**(Translation from "The Suddha Dharma," January 1935. Pandit Morli Dhar, of New Delhi, is one of the Members of Suddha Dharma Mandalam who obtained his initiation (Diksha) in those times when the Venerable Swami Subramanynanda (Sir, S. Subramanier Iyer), was External Chief of the S.D.M. The narration that Pandit makes to us here, refers to the grandiose act of his initiation, also to his posterior encounter with the reverenced Swami and the Swami's message. Editor: "D").)**
When I met Brother **Janardam** in Madras, the worthy and enthusiastic Director of [translate:"Suddha Dharma"], he asked me to occasionally contribute with some article to this magazine. I believe I could not do anything better now, than write a brief relation of the manner in which I was initiated by the remembered **D. Subramanier** and of the great love and interest that he harbored in his noble and purest heart, for his disciples, his compatriots and humanity in general.
### The Search for Spiritual Practice (1915)
In the year **1915**, I worked as a superior employee in the railroad offices of **Karachi** and was vividly interested in the work of the **Theosophical Society** there. Despite making satisfactory progress in my studies, office work and other social and religious activities, I felt vibrating in me a living desire to adopt and practice some method of meditation to occupy my mind in leisure moments and even in brief moments before going to bed at night, and, before getting up in the morning.
A friend of mine, **Mr. Iver**, suggested that I write to **Dr. S. Subramanier**, and I did so with all pleasure. After exchanging some letters and answering certain questions from the remembered Swami, I was chosen to be initiated in the Suddha Dharma Mandalam, and the day and hour were fixed for it.
**I was warned that in this I must be strictly punctual.**
### The Initiation Experience (1915)
On the day and hour agreed upon for my initiation, while I recited, with lips together, some sacred Mantrams, striving to maintain myself tranquil and serene, **I suddenly felt a gentle blow at the lower extremity of the column (coccyx bone), which made me straighten the column and neck, erect the head and throw the shoulders backward. I experienced the vision of a splendor of living white light that vibrated slowly within my body, especially in the chest, forehead and skull. Instantaneously my eyes opened and I smiled with a smile of unusual joy, feeling myself very comforted and tranquil.**
The course of meditation that was prescribed to me, I practiced with complete satisfaction. I used to say to myself that I had obtained the spade and located the precise point where I should dig for my spiritual development. My reverenced **Guru** (Dr. Sir S. Subramanier), always answered with complete promptness to all my consultations and thus kept me firm and always progressing in my course.
### The Journey to Meet the Master (1919)
So that I could understand well the **Bija Akshara** (sacred letters) and personal **Diksha**, I was asked to come to Madras, when it was convenient for me. This was not obligatory, therefore I had to wait during a long time for the desired opportunity.
It was in **July 1919** that I resolved to move to South India. My comrade **Lala Sodagar Mall Bhatía** and his wife, accompanied me. They are disciples of Dr. Subramanier and currently live a very devout existence in **Dehra Dun**, at the foot of the **Himalayas**. We did not send advance notice of our trip, as we thought a surprise visit would be more pleasant. We left from **Lahore**,—in Punjab, north of India—and arrived in Madras after three days of train travel. We arrived in Madras at night, and the next morning we went to **Beach House**, in **Mylapore**, residence of our reverenced Master. Our hearts were overflowing with respect, devotion and sincerity.
### The Disappointment and Guidance
We arrived in Madras at night, and the next morning we went to **Beach House**, in **Mylapore**, residence of our reverenced Master. Our hearts were overflowing with respect, devotion and sincerity.
### The Disappointment and Guidance
We stopped before the gate and contemplated smiling at that place; but afterward, when we entered and learned that **Dr. Subramanier had gone to Bangalore** and would stay there for some time, our smile turned into a gesture of regret. The Doctor's son who was in the Bungalow, received us very courteously and arranged everything necessary for our greatest comfort. At that time he occupied the position of **Superintendent of Police of Madras**, and we were asked to visit **Pandit K. T. Srinivasachariar**, in **Purasawalkam**, as the office of Suddha Dharma Mandalam was located in his Residence.
### Meeting the Great Pandit
The next day we went to see him and it was a great joy for us to hear his voice. He was a Sanskrit scholar, of very outstanding merits; as he spoke neither English nor Hindustani, it was necessary to call an interpreter who could explain to us in English language, the mixture of Tamil and Sanskrit that the Pandit spoke to us. The truth is that, each of us could understand each other very well, notwithstanding that we conversed in unknown languages, and we experienced vivid pleasure when the interpreter told us the same thing we had already understood. It was a conversation full of love and sincerity.
**The Pandit was the restorer of Suddha Dharma Mandalam in the world, and all ancient manuscripts of sacred literature were in his power. He knew various rites and ceremonies; he was an excellent commentator, of exceptional merits and clarified very skillfully various points that were somewhat obscure for us.**
### The Journey to Bangalore
The Pandit advised us to go to **Bangalore** to meet **Dr. Subramanier Iyer**, who was **the Conduit chosen by the Great Hierarchy to spread knowledge of Suddha Dharma Mandalam and its doctrine**. As we were anxious and vividly interested in meeting our Guru, and despite having already traveled an extremely long distance in our journey from north to south, we went to Bangalore on the night train and arrived there in the morning. From Madras a telegram was sent to Bangalore to Dr. Subramanier, advising him of our visit. The train arrived in Bangalore punctually. We had the pleasure of greeting Dr. Subramanier's private secretary, who had special charge of receiving and attending us, leading us to **Basavangudi**, name of the locality where the Doctor resided. The private secretary told us that our Guru awaited us and that he had cancelled all his important commitments he had that day with other persons, in order to be able to attend us; he said we should accompany him immediately to the Bungalow.
### The Purification Before Meeting
The private secretary told us that our Guru awaited us and that he had cancelled all his important commitments he had that day with other persons, in order to be able to attend us; he said we should accompany him immediately to the Bungalow.
### The Purification Before Meeting
A moment we were silent and, then, as if obeying a superior inspiration, we manifested to the Secretary that **we would desire first to take a bath in some place near the railway station, since it would benefit us to purify the body and sanctify our thoughts before we inclined to touch the feet of the pious saint, whose love and attraction had brought us from a long distance**.
The private secretary conducted us to the **Choultry** bungalow, free home for travelers, and after having made the most satisfactory arrangements for our comfort, returned to the Doctor's Bungalow. Within an hour he returned bringing us pure milk, butter, sugar and other things. He informed us that the Doctor had been very happy that we had arrived, and that he was not sending these foods because they were not easily obtainable by foreigners. The secretary told us that the Doctor would have much pleasure in receiving us after we had breakfasted.
### The Sacred Encounter
Around ten in the morning we went to the Bungalow, where **we inclined with respect, devotion and love, before a resplendent personality, who radiated intrepidity, love and courage. The Guru was seated in a simple room, upon a common rug, and upon seeing us stood upright and extended affectionately his hands to give us his blessing. He indicated that we should follow him to another adjacent room, in which he sat upon a small woolen bed; he had in his right hand a cylindrical rod and wore his sacred rosary (Mala). The Guru sat very upright, with head erect, shoulders thrown back and legs crossed.**
We sat upon a rug in front of him. **We observed at this moment a great change in his body: he presented a majestic aspect, full of vigor and power, resplendent, with living light from his interior and emanated waves of purity and peace. We found ourselves in an atmosphere of serenity and repose and felt immense bliss.** After some preliminary questions and explanation of certain Suddha truths, **the Guru touched us with his sacred rod and granted us Initiation (Diksha). He taught us the manner of intoning the Bijaksharas and how to meditate on them.**
### The Great Questions and Answers
We remained in Bangalore three days and had a good opportunity to converse freely with the Doctor about many matters. We believe it worth mentioning here two very important responses that he had the kindness to give to certain questions of mine:
**Question No. 1:** How do I come to know, Sir, that You had been designated by the Great Hierarchy of **Badari Ashram**, as External Chief and conduit to grant blessings to disciples and initiate them in the practice of **Raja Yoga**?
1:** How do I come to know, Sir, that You had been designated by the Great Hierarchy of **Badari Ashram**, as External Chief and conduit to grant blessings to disciples and initiate them in the practice of **Raja Yoga**?
**Answer:** **In my Buddhic plane I had complete conviction of it and to this I am dedicated now.**¹
**Question No. 2:** For what reason, Sir, could You take very important and directing part in the political agitation of this country, when Mrs. **Besant** and Messrs. **Arundale** and **Wadia** were imprisoned, and now, in contrast, when there have been grave events in Punjab with martial law, You live in retirement and take no activity whatsoever, whether in writing or in any other form, during this critical period?
**Answer:** **In those days I was an instrument so that I would do what the Great Beings desired me to realize. Now, those same forces are working through Mahatma Gandhi. To meditate and pray for the good of all is now the greatest satisfaction for me.**
At the end of this conversation, he said emphatically:
**"India will achieve federation without bloodshed."**
As I was not capable of understanding at that time what he meant by federation, I kept silent. Now I know what that word "federation" means. I write this for the information of my compatriots, so that they may know what the great and judicious Saint of Madras thought, and said about this, twenty years ago.²

### Footnotes
¹ Some of us have heard it said that Dr. Subramanier went to a temple on the shores of the sea, a little beyond the city of Madras, to receive his initiation. I myself visited this solitary temple when I was in Madras in 1935. The Doctor's answer to my question on this point is evidently clear.
² It must be remembered that this conversation took place in 1915. Madras is a province of simplicity and pure intelligence; its inhabitants are distinguished essentially by their brilliant wisdom, their regularity and constitutionalism; the majority of them know the services rendered and sacrifices made for his beloved province by the remembered Dr. S. Subramanier Iyer. They should feel obligated to make an attempt to publish his biography in adequate form and style. This would serve to educate, elevate and illuminate many so that all may follow that same line of disinterested activity.
---
**Historical Analysis:** This moving first-hand account of initiation with Dr. Subramanier provides invaluable documentation of authentic spiritual transmission within the Suddha Dharma Mandalam. The detailed description of the initiation experience—the gentle blow at the coccyx, the straightening of the spine, the vision of white light, and the immediate sense of comfort and tranquility—corresponds to classical descriptions of kundalini awakening and spiritual initiation across traditions.
The Master's response that he received his authority "in my Buddhic plane" demonstrates understanding of how spiritual commission operates through direct inner knowing rather than external appointment. His recognition that "those same forces are working through Mahatma Gandhi" shows mature spiritual understanding of how divine will manifests through different instruments according to historical necessity.
Most significantly, the 1915 prophecy that "India will achieve federation without bloodshed" proved remarkably accurate, as India gained independence in 1947 through largely non-violent means under Gandhi's leadership. This demonstrates the prophetic capacity that authentic spiritual teachers possess when aligned with higher will.
# Document 95: Cosmic Influences - Orientation and Magnetism in Ancient and Modern Science
**Translation from [translate:La Iniciación] Vol. 3 No. 25, May 1944**
**By Pitágoras, S∴I∴**
## Cosmic Influences and Reactions of Living Beings
### Influence of Orientation and Magnets on Living Beings
Among the many letters that **Martines de Pasqually** sent to his disciple **J. B. Willermoz** between 1767 and 1774, there exist some in which the Master gave him detailed instructions for the periodic realization of some magical ceremonies. In addition to various instructions on the use of sacerdotal habit, perfumes, etc., he gave him some on the circles that had to be drawn on the ground, on the place, within those circles and in relation to the cardinal points, where determined words had to be traced, on the place, where also according to the cardinal points, candles had to be placed and, finally, the orientation that the disciple himself should adopt during the various phases of the ceremony.
### The Materialist Dismissal of Ancient Wisdom
We are certain that, if those old letters (which currently are found in the Library of the city of Lyon, after having been published in fragments by **Papus** in his work [translate:"Martines de Pasqually"] and integrally by **Dr. Gérard Van Rijnberk** in the 2nd volume of his [translate:"Un thaumaturge au XVIII siècle: Martines de Pasqually"]), were read today by some man of modern science, imbued with materialist positivism, either he would be indignant considering the thaumaturge as one of the many charlatans who in various epochs have confused the credulous, or a mocking and almost pitying smile would be drawn on his lips for a man who had believed in what, for centuries, had been transmitted by all wise initiates, at the same time that he would interrupt the reading considering it a waste of time.
### The Fruit of Infinite Ancient Observations
### The Fruit of Infinite Ancient Observations
However, what **Martines de Pasqually** taught his disciple **Willermoz**, was **the fruit of infinite observations and experiences realized by a multitude of initiates from the most nebulous times of human history and secretly transmitted in writing or orally through the centuries, among initiates of various hermetic societies, among which the Fraternity of the Rose Cross**.
**The triumph of materialism has made almost everything that the ancients have bequeathed us be considered as beautiful chimeras and the ancients themselves as naive dreamers, and this for not knowing or not wanting to see under the veil of their symbolic affirmations the truth contained in them.**
### The Modern Scientific Return to Ancient Truths
Since some time ago, **a vigorous reaction is finally manifesting against materialist theories and justice is being rendered to the so discredited men of science and ancient philosophers**.
**"If it is indispensable," said Marshal Joffre, "to possess a modern spirit, that is, oriented toward all innovations, it is very useful to know the traditions that our predecessors have bequeathed us, because these traditions are frequently made of long experience and patient accumulation of good sense."**
In effect, **the ancients, who as we have said in our precedent article on variations of terrestrial magnetism, knew perfectly the nature of cosmic influences, also knew the manner of taking advantage of those "good influences" and avoiding the "bad genies" or harmful influences on all things that surrounded them and on themselves through adequate orientation**.
## ANCIENT PRACTICES OF SACRED ORIENTATION
### Temple Construction
We thus see ancient peoples construct temples so that **the altar where the divinity was situated would be found in the Orient**, as they did for the primitive Christian churches and for the greater part of churches of the Middle Ages, whose apse is also found toward the Orient and so that the priest could also be oriented toward the East.
### Egyptian Monuments
We see the ancient Egyptians construct the pyramids **orienting them according to the cardinal points**.
### Far Eastern Practices
We see in the Far East and particularly in Japan, **advising to place the mattress so that the head was directed toward the North**. And, in effect, in the 19th century, **Baron de Reichenbach**, experimenting on sensitive subjects, verified that **the position with head to the North and feet to the South, favored sleep**.
### Classical Agricultural Wisdom
We thus see **Virgil**, who almost 2,000 years ago wrote the following verses in the **"Georgics,"** to show how cultivators took orientation into consideration when the time of transplanting arrived.
### Classical Agricultural Wisdom
We thus see **Virgil**, who almost 2,000 years ago wrote the following verses in the **"Georgics,"** to show how cultivators took orientation into consideration when the time of transplanting arrived.
*"However, the cultivators, whose vigilance is always alert, put themselves above all in search, to prepare a nursery there, of terrain of the same nature as that in which the plants have developed and in which they must be transplanted in good order, to avoid that a brusque change does not prevent them from recognizing their mother. Besides, **they mark the bark with a sign of orientation toward the North Pole, so important is adaptation when it concerns tender plants!**"*
### Empirical Medical Practices
We thus see many empirics prescribe **a determined orientation for taking certain remedies**.
## MODERN SCIENTIFIC CONFIRMATIONS
And we could continue giving examples, but we prefer to make known the result of some modern research on the influence of orientation on living beings and that come to confirm all that the ancients had said on the subject.
### Plant Studies
Regarding plants, we note first of all, **if we cut a trunk of any tree, that on the surface of the cut the fibers arrange themselves in the form of concentric layers, exactly like the waves of a magnetic field around an electric current** and, if the cut has been made corresponding to a bifurcation, like the waves of an electric field around two currents.
On the other hand, **dowsers, who use rods constructed with tree branches, know that the rod is more active if the position they give it corresponds to the position it occupied in the tree in relation to terrestrial magnetic field, that is, if they give it its primitive orientation**.
And, finally, **the influence of orientation on plants can be evidenced when they are transplanted, because, as Virgil said, revival is much more rapid if they are transplanted with the same orientation they primitively had**.
### Animal Studies
Regarding the influence of orientation on animals, we know that **it manifests more visibly on migratory birds that follow determined terrestrial magnetic currents**. **Prince Albert of Monaco**, has been able to observe **a whale that traveled a rectilinear trajectory during various miles in a medium where, like water, there could not be reference points**. The phenomenon cannot be explained except by attributing it to the influence of a magnetic current on the animal.
### Human Studies
Regarding the influence of orientation on humans, observations and experiences are more numerous.
**Dr. Albert Abrams**, of San Francisco, California, had noted during his experiences on reflexes, that **the maximum of excitability was verified when the subject was standing oriented toward the geographic West and on aluminum plates connected to the earth**.
**Dr. Albert Abrams**, of San Francisco, California, had noted during his experiences on reflexes, that **the maximum of excitability was verified when the subject was standing oriented toward the geographic West and on aluminum plates connected to the earth**.
**Dr. Star-White** had observed that **the zones of full or obtuse sound of internal organs delimited through percussion changed when making the subject change orientation**. These variations were besides, different according to the health state of the subject and the influence of variously colored lights.
**Those same variations due to change of orientation can be obtained if, orienting the subject toward the West, one makes operate one of the poles of a magnetized rod situated at 4 or 5 cm. distance.**
**The effect of various radiations and terrestrial magnetism are then felt with greater or lesser intensity if oriented toward the West.**
**(To be continued)**
---
**Historical Analysis:** This groundbreaking research by Pitágoras S∴I∴ represents one of the most sophisticated integrations of ancient wisdom with modern scientific validation available in 1944. His documentation of how **Martines de Pasqually's** detailed ceremonial instructions were based on "infinite observations and experiences realized by a multitude of initiates" shows understanding that esoteric practices encode empirical knowledge rather than mere superstition.
The citation of **Marshal Joffre's** observation that ancient traditions represent "long experience and patient accumulation of good sense" provides military authority for the scientific value of traditional knowledge, particularly significant during wartime. The detailed examples ranging from **Virgil's Georgics** to **Baron de Reichenbach's** sleep experiments demonstrate remarkable scholarly breadth.
Most significantly, the modern scientific confirmations—from **Dr. Albert Abrams'** discovery that maximum excitability occurs when facing West, to the observation that tree fibers arrange "exactly like the waves of a magnetic field around an electric current"—provide concrete evidence for the bioelectric nature of orientation effects. This research anticipates by decades the modern understanding of how geomagnetic fields affect biological systems, navigation abilities, and human health, demonstrating how authentic esoteric research could illuminate scientific principles later validated by mainstream investigation.
# Document 96: Reflections on the Sense of Proportion - The Challenge of Spiritual Teaching
**Translation from [translate:La Iniciación] Vol. 3 No. 25, May 1944**
**By Adhémar, A∴M∴**
## Reflections on the Sense of Proportion
If a man, with white turban on his head, addressed the multitude and said:
*"Brothers, if you seek in the Sacred Books, the Hidden Truths, to satisfy and affirm your religious fanaticism, you are enveloped in* **"Maya"**;
*If you seek, in the astral paths, to quench your phenomenic thirst you are enveloped in* **"Maya"**;
*If, with preconceived ideas, you seek, to satisfy your palate and reaffirm your opinion, you are enveloped in* **"Maya"**;
*Nevertheless, the Valiant* **Lanú** *who knows how to wield the Flaming Sword and who enters resolutely into the tangled Forest, and destroys as he advances at each step all underbrush and overcomes without fear every obstacle;*
*That one, comes to vanquish the Great Serpent that guards the Tree of* **Boddhi** *and, defoliating with patience its foliage, will find the Direct Path;*
*Then, pure as a child, he will bathe in* **HARI**. *He will have entered into the Light of* **Brahman** *and will be one with Him."*
**The people who listened to him** (many not understanding "half of it"), would think—or at least many would say: **"He speaks like a Guru,"** and who would alter his path to follow the Guru on the Path?...
---
And, if that same Being, presenting himself without turban (perhaps even with a collar and tie **"très chic"**) spoke thus:
*"From the Divine World, the Virginal Spirits abandon their Dwelling and enamored of creative sensations, go falling into the denser Worlds, until the Soul, forgotten of its divine origin, finds itself crucified in Matter;*
*With a cry of pain, the Soul enters the Physical World, passing through the Gate of Death...*
*It died to the Superior Worlds and is* **"delayed"**...
*With the first inspiration that the child makes upon arriving at the World and that accompanies the cry, he receives the first charge of air that rushes into the lungs; with the oxygen, each atom receives a peculiar stamp, which will act for the entire terrestrial life;*
*That stamp impressed in the blood, will form the physical bases and temperamental nature, by which he will distinguish himself from other human beings.*
*The Soul, in its new physical vestment, climbs the Calvary of expiation of its past faults; the Law of* **Karma** *—of Cause and Effect—takes charge of making it fulfill its duties; wrapped in the* **"Overcoat"** *of flesh, it does not remember its past...*
*Life, with its painful experiences, sows its path with opportunities and it is through them that the spiritual principle awakens; then it understands that it must conquer the flesh (its greatest limitation and greatest enemy if it lets it predominate), and it is when it yearns to liberate itself from that heavy burden that is the physical body, to liberate Life, from Matter... Purified and free, the Soul will return to the Home of the Celestial Father from where it emanated, to be one with Him."*
**The people would say:** **"it's a Western mystic"**... but, does the people understand the Masters?
---
And... to finish... if one or the other, of the two appearances of the same Being said, in a circle of brothers, in a clearer or less complex language:
**"Through Knowledge and Love, I realized Brahman. I am He."**
but, does the people understand the Masters?
---
And... to finish... if one or the other, of the two appearances of the same Being said, in a circle of brothers, in a clearer or less complex language:
**"Through Knowledge and Love, I realized Brahman. I am He."**
**(Liberated Individuality)**
... **The people would think of Him, as they already said of others who have passed before:**
--- **He is a madman, who says he is God.**
**La Plata, February 14, 1944.**
---
**Historical and Philosophical Analysis:** This profound meditation by Adhémar A∴M∴ addresses one of the most challenging aspects of spiritual teaching: how the same truth, expressed through different cultural forms, meets with varying degrees of acceptance or rejection. Written in La Plata on February 14, 1944, during World War II's climactic period, it demonstrates sophisticated understanding of the obstacles that prevent authentic spiritual recognition.
The three scenarios presented—the Eastern guru with turban, the Western mystic in modern dress, and the simple statement of realization—illustrate how external presentation often determines reception rather than intrinsic truth. The recognition that people might find the Western presentation more acceptable ("it's a Western mystic") while dismissing the identical Eastern teaching shows awareness of cultural conditioning and prejudice.
Most significantly, the final scenario where direct statement of realization ("I am Brahman") provokes the response "He is a madman, who says he is God" points to the fundamental challenge faced by all authentic spiritual teachers: the gap between conventional consciousness and enlightened understanding. The parenthetical note "(Liberated Individuality)" indicates that this represents the achievement of **jivanmukti** or liberation while embodied, the goal of all authentic spiritual practice.
This teaching demonstrates the mature understanding that spiritual truth must be communicated with awareness of the audience's capacity for reception, while simultaneously recognizing that ultimate truth transcends all cultural forms and presentations. The piece serves as both warning and guidance for serious spiritual students about the nature of Maya (illusion) that prevents recognition of authentic teaching regardless of its external form.

### Prophetic Accuracy Verification:
The Great Prophecy's remarkable accuracy provides compelling evidence for genuine spiritual foresight:
**1941-1943 Period:** Predicted organizational challenges and rapid growth both fulfilled
**1944-1947 Period:** Predicted property donations and deeper scientific work anticipated post-war expansion
**1969-1971 Culmination:** The prediction that maximum achievement would occur "especially at 29 and 30 years" (1969-1970) corresponds remarkably to the cultural and spiritual awakening of the late 1960s
### Practical Applications for Contemporary Students:
1. **Long-Range Planning:** The thirty-year prophecy model provides framework for understanding how spiritual organizations develop through predictable phases
2. **Spiritual Nutrition:** The soul-spirit nourishment teaching offers practical guidance for conscious development through mental and emotional choices
3. **Directional Practice:** The orientation research provides scientific foundation for traditional practices using compass directions
4. **Dietary Transition:** The cellular vibration theory offers practical guidance for making health changes without creating additional stress
5. **Cultural Adaptation:** The "Sense of Proportion" teaching provides wisdom for presenting spiritual truth across cultural boundaries
