Enseñanzas de Jehel, S:: I::
palabras: “Espiritualizantes”, “dinamizadores” e “intoxicantes”, traducción interpretativa
AIRE…

Curso Práctico de Astrología Judiciaria
Enseñanzas de Surya. S:: I::
generalmente bienhechoras.

p. 4Commentaries on the First Degree of Martinism — Androgony (Continuation) — Teachings of Jehel, S∴I∴ — We saw in the preceding article the three species of foods every human being absorbs: Solid and liquid foods, ingested by the buccal way. Gaseous foods (airs), ingested by the respiratory way and the skin. Psychic foods (sensations), ingested by the ways of perception.
I shall not reopen here the old and unexhausted — but not inexhaustible — discussion of whether the human being "has to be" carnivorous, omnivorous, vegetarian or exclusively frugivorous, or whether he ought to or may mix those various regimes in certain forms, or whether what matters most is precisely the mixture.
The bad thing about all this is that each one wants to defend "his" opinion, instead of calmly watching what happens around him, simply.
If they were capable of watching CALMLY AND WITHOUT APRIORISTIC OPINION, they would probably see what all those who have watched in that manner have seen before, namely: IN WHAT CONCERNS "BUCCAL-WAY" FOODS — 1st) That each being has a tendency to nourish itself according to the "symbolic" animal that predominates in it. In effect: it suffices to recall the admirable drawings I published in No.
18 of LA INICIACIÓN (extracted from works of the Master PAPUS) to understand at once that, for example, a person whose physical body lives like a "pig" — or better said, NEEDS to eat everything and in quantity — will also eat it brutally and dirtily.
And if in his second plane (animic) there are hatreds and cruelties directed towards the physical (sanguinary instincts and corporal cruelty), if he "feels like a hyena", it is logical that however many little lettuce leaves we offer him, we shall have no success; it is more probable that he will eat the bearer of the lettuce, as has happened in all epochs in which the brutes have sacrificed the meek.
That is no reason not to be meek, but it should be one for not confusing the modality of existence of the one class of beings and the other.
2nd) Those who live in intense wear — corporal, cerebral and animic — of dense vibrations, in the struggle for amorous conquest, for commercial or political conquest (when by ardent and passionate means), are so many persons who cannot be vegetarians, because to be so they would have to accept the change of vibration that would prevent them from continuing to be what they still desire or wish to be.
p. 53rd) There will arrive at vegetarianism, then, progressively, the various species of beings who have understood or felt something of the following: a.- That they can thereby have better health, cure the results of previous abuses, and thus conserve themselves in a more acceptable state in relation to the carnivores of the same age.
It is, then, a search for physical equilibrium, somewhat self-interested, but… what human progress does not "begin" with a personal desire?...
They seek physical betterment. b.- Those who have understood that vegetarianism grants, besides better physical health, a purer force — that is to say, a greater yield in all methodical, calm or rhythmic physical or mental work, but never agitated work or work of exceptional intensity in a minimum time. (The vegetable grows slowly and does not move. The animal leaps or runs; it has the notion of speed).
This type of vegetarians makes the great sportsmen, intellectual naturists, systematic researchers and various types of initiates by the mental or meditative way. c.- Those who know that, by helping their bodies, physical and animic, to quieten [Sic: the original prints "a inquietarse" (to grow restless) where the sense requires "aquietarse".], and by transforming all those psychic energies, they can obtain higher states of realisation — or at least have the physical base that permits obtaining them with more facility.
I could continue thus at length, showing the 72 types of individuals who in 24 different forms prefer, exclusively or in diverse mixtures, the 3 species of foods [Sic: the original prints "animales" (animals).] that the orientals have named sattvic, rajasic and tamasic — or in other words "Spiritualising", "dynamising" and "intoxicating", an interpretative translation I give to the terms so that it may be easier for the reader to understand that one class of food "orients the vibration upwards", the second "around", and the third downwards: earth, air and ether.
For all these reasons, it seems reasonable that each one should TRY to adopt the BEST regime that his temperament, desire for action and mental orientation indicate; for, by progressive betterment, he will arrive not only at vegetarianism but at more — since, if we must all some day live the prolonged ecstasies of the saints and of certain yogis or Rishis, we shall verify on that occasion that the true higher mystics nourish themselves PRINCIPALLY on the vision of the Higher Planes.
Therefore, between the hyena that feeds only on flesh and even on remains of carrion, and the saint who feeds almost solely on contemplation and etheric absorption — THERE IS AN INFINITE DIVERSITY OF BEINGS, who walk towards one same end and whom one MUST help as far as possible, but whom one CANNOT AND MUST NOT push with shouts or by force, with criticisms and anathemas, because they do not eat this or do not absorb that.
Vegetarianism, like any other human conception of the truth, can lead to fanaticism, and the greatest error of many vegetarians is to believe themselves "better" than other people.
p. 7–8JEHEL, se deduce que:
1)

Por Asuri Kapila S:: I::
ADHIRATHASANA
p. 6Practical Course of Judicial Astrology — Teachings of Surya. S∴I∴ — Having studied in previous articles the influences of Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun and Venus, let us see today those of: MERCURY. J.
Burgoyne, the Rosicrucian and author of "The Light of Egypt", quoted by the Venerable Master PAPUS, says: "Under the symbolic aspect, the planet Mercury was always considered the 'messenger of the gods'. Hundreds of myths were elaborated upon "Mercury of the winged feet". In the fertile imagination of the Greeks, the spirit of Mercury was always alert to manifest its faculties.
Its activities, even though harmful at times, were generally beneficent. It seems that the fundamental idea of the ancients was to symbolise or express, under an external form [Sic: the original prints "la se simbolizar" and "bao una forma".], the turbulent activities of the mercurial spirit: therefore wings were placed on his head and on his feet.
Kabbalistically, the planet Mercury signifies perception, thereby representing the visual faculty in the great body of the celestial Man. It is the active faculty of "self-consciousness" in humanity, as well as the faculty of seeing, perceiving and reasoning. On the esoteric planisphere, Mercury transforms into the angel Raphael, genius of wisdom and of art.
Thereby it is seen that the esoteric forces of the orb of Mercury are those that tend to make the human race pass from the planes of animality towards more human ones. Considered astrologically, the influence of Mercury is intellectual and active.
No system of human invention or convention would have attributed to an almost invisible star — the smallest and physically most insignificant of all the planets of the first order — the government of the intellectual nature of the human being. Any system that had been artificial would have attributed so important a group of mental faculties to the Sun or to "lordly" Jupiter.
Nevertheless, the experience of the ancients demonstrated to them that neither the Sun nor Jupiter possessed such influence; and it is upon the experience of remote ages that astrological truths, and the rules established for their application, are founded.
The qualities of Mercury, under a certain aspect, are well expressed by the Yankee adage: "Get up briskly and take boldly", for energy, intelligence and daring constitute the principal characteristic traits of the pure mercurian. There is nothing too violent, powerful or difficult for his inventive spirit, and there is nothing so great that his fertile brain cannot realise it.
The United States, considered globally, is under the influence of the sign of Gemini, constellation of Mercury; and the active energy, the enterprising and business spirit, the skill in all projects of the pure American type, are well expressed in accordance with the singular influence of its dominating star.

PAZ A TODOS LOS SERES
U
A M
p. 7On the intellectual plane, however, the planet Mercury is really the genius of wisdom and governs the whole of the mental faculties called perceptive faculties. The oratorical faculties are well directed by this planet. Those who are dominated by its influence are ingenious, inventive, witty, critical — at times sarcastic — of scientific spirit, and possess a notable faculty of penetration.
They are, then, profound investigators in all the sciences, thus aiding technical and industrial advancement. On the physical plane, Mercury rules the brain [Sic: the original prints "le cerebro".] and the tongue. When it is found in a powerful position at the instant of a birth, the individual will possess a lively imagination and excellent memory, and will also be notable for his intellectual capacity and his power of persuasion.
The Martinist Astrologer JULEVNO teaches us that Mercury: "A subtle, rapid and warm planet, governs the higher part of the spirit, the lungs, the ears, the nerves and all that depends on their action — such as eloquence, poetry, the art of writing, painting, medicine and the other arts that depend on the force and vivacity of the intelligence.
He governs family relations and social position, occupations, all that refers to commerce, to industry, to journeys by land, to writings, to intellectual activity and to messages. He indicates a spirit fond of literary studies — active, agitated, astute, subtle, loquacious, calculating. He represents young persons.
MERCURIANS IN GENERAL have as frequent characteristics, when there is no predominant influence of another planet, a medium stature and a slender body — rather thin, with an elongated and agreeable face, even without being beautiful. The complexion is generally pale, the hair chestnut and wavy or curly; the head is generally small and endowed with rapid movements.
The forehead is convex, the eyebrows long and of pronounced arch, the nose straight, somewhat long, the lips fine and as if half-open, the beard rather sparse, dark. Hands and arms generally long; fingers fine. MERCURY LORD OF A WELL-DISPOSED CHART indicates an eloquent person, of acute judgment, perspicacious and astute when necessary.
He may be an orator, professor, explorer, man of letters, journalist, painter, geometer, sculptor, physician, astronomer, chemist, philosopher and alchemist. Skilful and creative merchants full of initiative are generally mercurians.
MERCURY ILL-DISPOSED IN THE CHART indicates the degeneration of the qualities just cited into the corresponding defects, so that the individual will become tricky, dissolute, hypocritical, lying, ignorant, full of presumption, boastful, inclined to theft and to deceit. From the observations communicated by Br.
JEHEL it is deduced that: 1) "It is typical to observe that all persons who have a Mercurian sign in the Ascendant — especially Gemini — and Venus and Mercury, in conjunction or not, in the first house, will always devote themselves to writing, coming to produce works of value, whether as
p. 8journalists, as men of letters or as historians, moved to it by the sense of investigation and the pedagogical vocation. Typical examples are our Brothers Géminis and Mauá, who have such a planetary position.
"It is also worth observing that, among persons of the feminine sex, a great number of Mercurians have 'digital' professions — that is, where the skill of the fingers predominates; but I have observed that, if it is Gemini that dominates, they will be carried towards intellectual-manual activity, becoming typists, secretaries, teachers, editors, etc., even women of letters.
If, on the contrary, Virgo dominates, we shall also find many intellectuals, but [Sic: the original prints "pro".] we shall also find all the seamstresses in whom the mental faculty of creating (or designing models) needs to rest upon the manual skill of executing the creations, or upon the manual workers of sewing, embroidery, etc." 2) "Another useful observation is that the characteristic that never fails in the mercurian is the vivacity of movement of the eyes, which — without animus injuriandi — may be compared to the gaze of the simians (mercurian animals), whose eyes pause only for instants and have notable rapidity and precision of mobility and of perception.
There exists, however, a type of mercurian, rather common, with the influence of Saturn — who does not have the corporal mobility typical of the planet but, in exchange, has an astonishing mental mobility, being of instantaneous comprehension, of acute and mordant wit. He is characterised then by eyes generally small, of more serene expression, and a more yellowish complexion.
3) "For us, students of occultism, it is very important to examine the position and aspects of Mercury in the chart of candidates for initiation, for with Mercury in the twelfth house or ill-disposed — especially with Mars — we shall localise the perjurers, those who 'cannot stop lying', as well as those who will be incapable of retransmitting a truth or a teaching without deforming it.
Mercury, when well-disposed but without the aid of strong and good aspects of Jupiter or the Sun, will rarely permit the individual to arrive at real initiation, since he will lose precious time in 'amusing himself with intellectuality' — for those born with such influences, reading is a passion, knowing intellectually a pleasure, and quoting from memory, or arguing, a true recreation.
Having thus seen the general characteristics Mercury grants, we shall begin in the next article the study of the influences of our satellite: The Moon. (To be continued).

Por Asuri Kapila S:: I::
escatol, cadaverina, putrescina y muchas otras.
defensivas y protectoras.
p. 9Progressive Course of Asana Yoga (Continuation) — By Asuri Kapila S∴I∴ — ADHIRATHASANA — This asana, whose literal meaning is "lying upon the chariot", is practised in the following manner: Lie on the floor on the back with the legs well stretched and the arms naturally extended at the sides of the body. Contract and relax several times all the muscles of the body.
Place, in a second stage, a rather thick book under the head and another under the heels, endeavouring to contract all the muscles so as to keep the position of the body as rigid as possible, avoiding the body's forming an arch.
After that rigidity of the body has been achieved, another book is added under the head and another under the heels, endeavouring to overcome, by muscular contraction, the arch with convexity towards the floor that the weight of the body tends to form. Each time this asana is repeated, ever more books are added under the head and under the heels, until reaching the number of 7.
After succeeding in maintaining the rigid position on these two piles of books, repeat the exercise employing two small wooden stools, so that the height from the floor is ever greater and the body is obliged to an ever [Sic: the original prints "un siempre esfuerzo".] greater effort to maintain the rigid position — almost identical to that obtained in the cataleptic state.
When that rigidity has been achieved, raise the arms (which until then have been at the sides of the body with the fists hermetically closed) upwards, joining the palms of the hands, as indicated in Fig. 18. Then they are lowered again, this operation being repeated three times.
Each time the arms are raised the air must be inhaled slowly, and each time they are lowered, exhale likewise slowly, making the movements of the arms coincide with the two respiratory phases. The first time this asana can be performed in complete form, it must not last more than two minutes, during which no more than seven movements of the arms upwards and another seven downwards are to be made.
BENEFITS DERIVED FROM THE ADHIRATHASANA — The beneficial effects of the Adhirathasana may be summed up as follows: 1) Development of all the muscles of the spinal column with consequent toning of the whole nervous system. 2) Development of all the flexor muscles of the neck, of the back, the flexors of the abdomen, of the thighs, legs and feet, and of the arms, forearms and hands. 3) Stimulation of the solar plexus, since this asana obliges it to be in function.

p. 11Is it possible to prolong youth? Does a Spiritual Alchemy exist capable of restoring our youth? – Causes of old age and of death. By Asuri Kapila S∴I∴ — Meats are noxious foods because they are foods in a state of decomposition.
Life having abandoned the body of the violently sacrificed animal, all the cells of the various tissues enter a phase of decomposition, with an enormous production of toxic substances; and the man who deceptively believes that in feeding on meat he is nourishing himself with a perfect food does not know that this meat possesses no more than 15 to 20% of alimentary value, constituted by usable proteins and fats and some residues of salts.
The rest is constituted by water in which, in solution or in suspension, are found the toxic products of the decomposition of the cellular protoplasm. So that in ingesting meat we ingest a great quantity of substances not only unusable as foods, but highly prejudicial to our physical organism as well as to our soul and our mind.
If we desire salubrious and invigorating foods — that is, the Sattvic ones — it is necessary to turn to the vast pantry of our mother Nature. To eat meats, cold cuts, sausages, etc., is to provoke illness, for putrid substances accumulate in the system — substances that have not been expelled and that cause putrefaction and engender toxic acids.
95% of illnesses come from an inadequate alimentation and, of all noxious foods, meats of every class are the most prejudicial. Albuminuria, arteriosclerosis, arthritis, appendicitis, tonsillitis, ulcers, cancer and countless illnesses are the high price we pay for our ignorance of what it benefits us to eat.
It is very important to know that the organism of the meat-eater has to expel not only its own waste substances produced in the catabolic phase of cellular metabolism, but also the substances in a state of putrefaction found in meats — as for example uric acid, ptomaines, indoles, phenols, skatole, cadaverine, putrescine and many others.
The organs destined for elimination, such as the kidneys, skin, intestine and lungs, then have to increase their activity enormously; and the defensive powers of the organism — constituted in this case by the chemical syntheses performed for the neutralisation of every noxious substance — grow tired with time, until they can no longer fulfil their depurative, defensive and protective functions.

Swapna, Sushupti, Turiya y Turiyatita.
p. 12The excess of meats, instead of strengthening the body as is generally believed, makes its resistance and vitality gradually dwindle, owing to all we have said, and leaves it an easy prey to germs, whose dynamic, vital action, etc., are the causes of infectious illnesses. Let us not forget that germs find a fertile field of development wherever a putrefactive process exists.
If we know how to keep the body clean by means of a rational, natural and minimally toxic alimentation, illness, old age and death will not attack it so rapidly and prematurely. All stimulants — as for example tea, coffee, alcohol, chocolate, etc. — are also toxic, and many of them have no nutritive value whatever. These stimulants, taken after meals as is commonly done, are still more prejudicial, for they retard the digestive process.
They must, then, be substituted by fresh fruits or fruit juice (but not bottled, because these, in general, are nothing but water with essences that have nothing to do with the fruit).
Eggs and lentils, like other dry legumes, should also be eaten in small quantities, or very rarely, because they are foods containing many proteins, which are what give origin to purines — these last substances giving origin to many of the toxic substances enumerated.
For those who work physically, nuts are an excellent food; but, as their richness in fats and proteins is high, they must be eaten in small quantities and always combined with other fruits and vegetables compatible with them. The refining of foods is also prejudicial to man, especially that of flours, from which, by the excessive process of depuration, the mineral salts and vitamins have been removed, leaving them impoverished.
Pastry, a treat for so many stomachs, should not constitute a daily food either, as it frequently does, because of the toxic products to which the digestion of starches and refined sugar gives origin. Eliminate also all sweets, caramels, etc., from which all energetic power has been subtracted and which, consequently, are substances that on fermenting convert into alcohols.
Substitute them, then, with dates, raisins, figs, almonds, etc. Mothers do not imagine the harm they do their children when they foster in them the habit of eating bonbons, caramels, etc., which slowly assault those tender and delicate bodies. Let them be accustomed, on the contrary, from the earliest age to eat much fruit, bearing in mind that it is a true food and not a sweet or dessert, as it is generally considered.
Fruit does not cause acidity, as is generally believed. Those who maintain this do not know thoroughly its composition and the products to which it gives origin in the digestive process. Acidity is not caused by fruit but by the previously eaten meat-based foods, besides many others such as flour, pastries, stews — and that by the excess of proteins they contain.
On the contrary, fruit and raw vegetables, owing to the many mineral salts they contain, neutralise and contribute to eliminating the already existing acids. We must take as a norm to eat at least
p. 14–15Los
Swapna, Sushupti, Turiya y Turiyatita.
p. 13one raw meal per day — a meal in which a great quantity of salads and fruits takes part. Hot meals are also noxious. Our stomach resents them and grows irritated, suffers and works in inadequate conditions, the delicate mucosa thus wearing out prematurely and permitting, with time, the formation of ulcers — and upon these, as is known, cancer — without counting the various forms of gastritis with or without hyperchlorhydria.
The example is given by the man who feeds exclusively on fruits and vegetables. He is never thirsty, because in these vegetables water is contained in high percentages, and the temperature of his stomach is thus always the optimum desired. So, as our dear readers will have been able to verify, fruits and vegetables of every class really constitute the true elixir of youth and long life, sought in vain in other foods and substances.
From all we have just set forth we realise that we live in the most complete ignorance in what refers to the human body and the substances that can nourish it without harm.
We believe ourselves wise by the mere fact of knowing how to earn money; we know by heart the constitution of a machine, like that of a complicated electric motor; but, in exchange, we know almost nothing or very little of the constitution of our body and of its intimate physiological mechanisms.
Physics and chemistry are already arriving with great strides at the knowledge of the complicated structure of the atom; all the fields of science are rapidly evolving; but physiological or biological chemistry is still in its infancy, despite the great conquests chemistry and physics have permitted it to attain, and the science of alimentation is still, one might say, in its infancy.
The day when sufficient progress has been made in this most important science, we shall understand what today still constitutes a mystery for us — that is, what the true causes of illnesses are, what the causes of rapid ageing are, what the cause is of the loss of hair, of the weakness of sight, etc. A mathematician, a physicist, a poet, a writer, a philosopher, a priest — all of them are considered the highest expression of knowledge and intelligence within a collectivity; and nevertheless almost all of them are ignorant of the anatomical and histological constitution of their bodies and do not know the most elementary physiological mechanisms. (To be continued).
negación de la unidad divina en la multiplicidad o diversidad de la evolución del mundo;

Srí Krishna, habla a Nara — en la apariencia del anheloso y guerrero discípulo Arjuna —;
la obscuridad no invade ya más su camino, antes bien, la luz alumbra de todos lados;

Now, in view of the approach of the Full Moon of May, it is necessary that we publish teachings needed by the Suddhists in activity. [Sic: the original prints "Ashora".] We shall therefore continue today with: EXTRACTS FROM THE SUDDHA LITERATURE (Continuation of what was published in number 20 and previous ones). Pandit K. T.
Srinivasachariar says: "The Life of the Universe, as a part of Brahman, manifests itself in the material of the universe in five degrees of Divinity known as Akshara, Jiva, Atma, Paramatma and Purusha; and likewise in man, as a part of the universe, the Divinity is present in the five degrees and is realised by him in proportion to his action in his various bodies: the Annamaya Kosha, etc. The states of consciousness of man are distinct while he functions in the diverse bodies, beginning from the Annamaya Kosha, and are called respectively: Jagrat, Swapna, Sushupti, Turiya and Turiyatita.
p. 15Here it is worthy of note that while consciousness functions with the Annamaya Kosha, where it is on the plane of Turiyatita, the Purusha aspect of the Brahmic Life is merely reflected; when the Yogi directly realises the Purusha, the body in its totality is abandoned. While consciousness is in the body itself, it can rise to the Turiya plane and directly realise the Paramatmic aspect.
The being is the same in all the aspects, but our perception of it in the diverse aspects requires this variation of terminology. As a result of the influence of Spirit on Matter, the Sakti or Maya is engendered — that is, Energy or Power.
This Sakti is diversely named according as it is engendered in a particular group of matter influenced by a determined aspect of the Spirit; thus there are: the Akshara Sakti, the Jiva Sakti, the Atma Sakti, the Paramatma Sakti and the Purusha Sakti. It is by means of the Sakti that the entire evolution of the world unfolds, being a result of the mutual play between Spirit and Matter.
Adopting for these energies a somewhat different system of names — the terms denoting function, as distinct from those of the nature of consciousness — Sakti is threefold: Gunamaya, Esha (or Kalyami) and Devi; the planes of matter may be named in a similar way; and the aspects of the spirit that thus function in the planes are known by the names of Pratyagatma or Samsaratma, Avataratma and Paramatma, respectively.
Normally we are related with the Gunamayi Sakti; the Great Beings who incarnate among men in the critical epochs of the world for the elevation of humanity act in the Esha-Sakti. All of us have in our bodies the matter of these two groups and, on a small scale, each of the Saktis.
Thus it is possible for us, by an appropriate application, to function in the different bodies constituted of the matter of these groups, and by a proper invocation of the various Saktis, to realise the different aspects of Brahman. Man can thus prepare himself for each of the states of vyavasaya or function in this infinite evolution of the world (Samsara).
To engage in the evolution of the world with an attitude that is exclusively material (prakritic), and therefore only concrete, leads to the complete forgetting of the fact of the immanence of the deity; and as a result of this, the man who follows only external phenomena does nothing but follow the passing gleam of ephemeral and brilliant mirages; he only pursues, without being able to reach, reality; he only seeks, without ever being able to find, the truth; meanwhile he suffers a gradual impairment of his higher instinct.
On the other hand, dedicating his effort exclusively to the consideration of the life-aspect of things, he comes to esteem revealed creation as a useless panorama of prodigal illusion; as a consequence it follows that he neglects the truths of the physical medium, and becomes in his turn an unhappy victim of the asceticism of sterile abstraction.
The scriptures today in vogue treat exclusively one or the other of the aspects and, as such, are of no utility in the matter of the full attainment of the Ideal. The Prakritic and Atmic aspects above referred to must both be employed by essential

Influencias Cósmicas y Reacciones de los
Seres Vivientes
Variaciones del Magnetismo terrestre.
Por Pitágoras, S:: I::
iniciados habían puesto las misteriosas letras I. N. R. I., cuyo significado esotérico es Igne
p. 16necessity, for in the scheme of things both coexist. Atma and Prakriti, Spirit and Matter. The teaching of the Suddha Dharma is directed to the necessity of recognising both from the transcendental point of view — the only one that will enable the Disciple to obtain the ideal (technically called Paraprapti).
A constant approximation (Samipya) to Brahman, which is the Eternal Glory, is thus attainable only with the incessant practice of the Suddha Dharma.
All the instructions referring to the actual practice of the Raja Yoga must be obtained directly from the duly constituted corporations; only their first principles are set down in books, for the profit of understanding disciples, and we are not permitted to publish all the said books [Sic: the original prints "y nos es permitido" where the sense requires "no nos es permitido".]; further courses of the discipline are imparted orally to the disciple, if he is worthy of being entrusted with the charge.
So profound is this teaching and so vast its sense, that the mystery cannot be too soon revealed to the uninitiated. [Sic: the sense requires "cannot be revealed too soon" — i.e., must not be.] The study of the Universe in all its aspects and systems, the laws of its manifestation, of its being and of its consummation, as well as the whole mystery relative to the Divine Intervention that conducts it, constitutes the Gayatri; and the science that expounds the Gayatri is called Yoga-Brahma-Vidya, or Synthetic Science of the Absolute.
This science is the exposition of the evolution of the world from both points of view, the analytic (Sankhya) and the synthetic (Yoga); the Sankhya system here mentioned is also called Suddha Sankhya, in order to distinguish it from the Kevala, or Niriswara or Asuddha Sankhya, which is a negation of the divine unity in the multiplicity or diversity of the world's evolution; while Suddha Sankhya is so called for recognising the divine unity in multiplicity.
The Yoga here mentioned is the Suddha Raja Yoga, distinct from the other forms of disciplines pertaining to hatha yoga and the like, whose methods invariably make the aspirant contract an almost incurable illness.
The Yoga Brahma Vidya, as a science, is based on the quadruple or quaternary constitution of Brahma, namely: Gnana, Iccha and Kriya (Suddha Sankhya) and Suddha Yoga, which is the synthesis of this trinity of Suddha Sankhya; in consequence it is called by another name: Tritwikatwa — that is, of the Triple and of the One.
Each of these four is seen further in six aspects or Dharmas, of which five Dharmas are causal [Sic: the original prints "con causales".] and the sixth is consequential; thus, altogether, the Yoga Brahma Vidya treats of the twenty-four Dharmas that explain in its integrity the nature of Brahma, both the revealed and the unrevealed.
To express the same in another manner, taking the Pranava or Sacred Word — AUM — to signify Brahman, it may be said that the science of the Yoga Brahma Vidya comprises the study of Vyhasti Pranava (that is, of the Pranava in its separative, distributive or analytic aspect), as also the study of Samashti Pranava (that is, of the Pranava in its unitary, collective or synthetic aspect). [Sic: the original prints "Samashti Paranava".] The Bhagavat Gita of Sri Krishna is eminently the scripture of this science.
p. 17Sri Krishna, speaks to Nara — in the appearance of the yearning warrior disciple Arjuna —; there is need even now to follow after that science, as he exactly followed it, because with such following humanity before long will also gain the victory; ill can man permit the loss of those lessons, because in every beating heart the battle of Kurukshetra rages, and its Divinity dwells in him as Great Guru and conducts the enthusiastic warrior disciple to the glorious victory.
That his teaching may not be received out of season, it is necessary that each of us exercise himself vigorously, in thought, word and deed, in the eight supreme virtues: tolerance and compassion, tranquillity and absence of ambition, purity and self-disinterestedness, and not to tire of serving, and yearning for the good of the world.
The Sattvic quality (as distinct from the Rajasic and the Tamasic) creates these virtues, and it behoves us at the opportune moment to begin fostering this quality in every phase of our life [Sic: the original prints "frase" (phrase).] in the midst of our fellows.
To be initiated into the Suddha Dharma Mandalam is the first step on the right orientation, and the disciple, as he follows the orientation of the Superiors, becomes ever more conscious of his progress on the path; and at each turn of it he finds that darkness no longer invades his road — rather, light shines from all sides; he finds that his zeal does not fail to fill the full measure of the necessary energy, and that each of his efforts is a prosperous advance placing him nearer the goal.
Be with these yearning disciples the grace of Bhagavan Narayana, Yoga Devi and Naradeva, and may that of the Elders of the Suddha Dharma Mandalam ever come to them with its unfailing favour and blessing, by which alone it is given to men to attain in the end the Divine Victory. Thus end the preliminary notes which the Suddha Dharma Mandalam teaches on the Hierarchy and the manner of Its Work. May all beings be happy.

p. 18Cosmic Influences and Reactions of Living Beings — Variations of terrestrial Magnetism. By Pitágoras, S∴I∴ — From the remotest antiquity it has been affirmed, and for many centuries, that in Nature everything lives — that is, everything vibrates and irradiates.
The Sun has been considered the source of all life of our universe, and upon the cross — which among many things symbolised the four cardinal points — the ancient initiates had placed the mysterious letters I. N. R.
I., whose esoteric meaning is Igne Natura Renovatur Integra, that is, "Nature is entirely renewed by fire". This "fire" is not, as might be thought, physical fire, but that primordial element which Heraclitus considered the basis of life, if not life in its very essence.
In the various mythologies this "fire" has been symbolised differently, considered as the energetic element of which all the other radiations — such as light, heat, electricity and magnetism — are but manifestations. In Greek mythology it is Vulcan who, on Olympus, forges the weapons for the other gods and for mortals themselves.
In India it is the god Agni, whose seven tongues correspond to the seven colours of the spectrum, and who at present is still adored by the Parsis. On various ancient monuments of Scandinavia, India and several countries of the Far East we find this "fire" symbolised by the Swastika.
Among almost all the ancient peoples the cult of the Sun, father of all life represented by "fire", was celebrated, and the sacrifices offered to him were bloody, for blood contained that life or "fire" originating from the Sun itself; later the sacrifice of animals was substituted by the fermented juice of the Asclepias acida or other fatty bodies capable of feeding the flame, or by loaves upon which the Swastika had been impressed, as for example among the Mayas and the Egyptians.
But in antiquity, besides the predominant influence of the Sun as giver of life, the influence of the other planets of our universe was also admitted, all of them considered as living beings. Thus, from the study of those influences and of the position of those planets in the sky were born, principally in Babylon, Astronomy or constitution of the Universe, and Astrology or life of that same Universe.
The earth itself was considered a living being, thus giving origin to that doctrine known under the name of Hylozoism, and its influences upon the beings inhabiting it were held in great consideration.
All those truths, which the ancient initiates had expressed by means of symbols, or which were known in the form of legends or myths by peoples incapable of understanding them, have been despised by the materialists who, seeing in these myths, legends and symbols nothing but manifestations of the infantile mentality of peoples, wished to react against the mystics and spiritualists.

Y luego te he entregado, —noche mía, — mi sangre.
La sangre. Sí: la sangre. La sangre que solloza
por túneles azules su vida equivocada;
donde guardaba el alba sus pétalos de estrellas;
los labios ya besados por numerosas muertes;
y los pies marineros, llagados de caminos;
el corazón ausente y el pecho amanecido.
¿Después? Después la mano: la calcinada mano,
marcada en su pecado por un buril de fuego;
La tremenda parábola ya no se apoya en ti;
al peregrino tránsito por la prisión de piedra;

p. 19For some years a reaction has begun to manifest itself in the scientific world against the materialist conceptions of life and the universe, especially after the latest discoveries of the physicists on the constitution of the atom (in which they have seen how the electronic movements are analogous to those of the planets in the solar system), on the radiant state of matter, on the various radiations, etc. We thus return insensibly to the old conception of the close dependence of living beings on the cosmic medium — that is, the influence of cosmic and telluric irradiations upon living beings, producing upon them variations in the functioning of the life of the cells of the organism [Sic: the original prints "del egoísmo".] and even in the very psychic life of man.
And as progress continues in these studies of cosmobiology, the old scientific and philosophical conceptions of the ancients will become ever more intelligible under the light of the new scientific knowledge.
A day will thus come when we shall fully understand what that single principle is which the Chinese had named TAI-KI and had symbolised by a circle whose unfolding produced the two other opposite and complementary principles named IANG and YN — which is found everywhere and whose equilibrium constitutes harmony in the universe and health in the organism.
Let us say in passing that the IANG was represented by a continuous line and the YN by an interrupted line, and their groupings by threes formed the eight combinations, that is, the PA-KOUA of Fo-Hi.
Other manners of symbolising the TAI-KI were to represent its two constitutive principles IANG and YN by two thick commas, one red and the other green, which interpenetrated by their concavities to manifest that they were never separated; or by the dragon (IANG) and the tiger (YN); or by two dragons between which exists a species of whirlwind, representing the neutral or dynamic equilibrium.
And we shall thus understand why the dragon (IANG), representing the positive or active principle, is in an elevated position and blows towards the other dragon (YN), the negative and passive principle, to give origin to the forms in which life dwells.
TAI-KI, which is named AOR by the Hebrews, Sushumna by the Hindus, Astral Light by the martinists, "movement" by Louis Lucas, etc. IANG and YN, which correspond to the OB and OD of the Hebrews, IDA and PINGALA of the Hindus, etc. There is no one today who doubts that the environment in which we live exerts an important influence on physiological phenomena.
The action [Sic: the original prints "La atracción".] of heat and cold, of humidity and light, of electricity, etc., upon the organism is well enough known to biologists and physiologists. But what is still unknown in the scientific world, or at least is beginning to be suspected, is that other cosmic and telluric influences also exert their action upon vegetable, animal and human organisms, as upon the inorganic and mineral world.
These influences have escaped the observation and experimentation of the positivist and materialist savants for a long time, because they manifest themselves without man's being able to be consciously impressed by them — that is, they manifest themselves upon the unconscious life. But many facts for which it has not been
p. 20possible to give a convincing explanation have drawn the attention of attentive observers and induced them to investigate their cause.
Thus, for example, many sensitive beings react with pains to meteorological variations [Sic: the original prints "meta-ecológicas".]; various animals, like the birds, fly higher or lower and following certain directions; the hens that roll in the dust, etc. These influences manifest themselves also, as we have said, upon inorganic matter and especially upon the compass, for its magnetised needle varies with the varying of the terrestrial magnetism of which they are the components.
One must not be surprised, then, if in China, and in general in the Far East, no one dares to build a house, a sepulchre, etc., without consulting a master in FONG-CHOEI — that is, a species of geomancer who occupies himself with the science of the winds (FONG), of the waters (CHOEI) and, in general, of the telluric and cosmic influences.
Nor must one be astonished, then, at the surprising revelations of the modern dowsers, as well as of those who use the oscillations of the pendulum. When the multiple solar, terrestrial and planetary influences to which matter and living beings in general, and man in particular, are subject change, modifications are produced in the terrestrial magnetism revealed by the compass.
To study, then, the variations of terrestrial magnetism is equivalent to studying the variations of the cosmic influences. In another article we shall study the planetary influences more closely. In this one let us limit ourselves to studying the variations of terrestrial magnetism.
VARIATIONS OF TERRESTRIAL MAGNETISM — In 1933, Dr. Loir, one of the principal collaborators of Pasteur, had written in the November number of La Côte d'Azur Médicale: "Cosmic and telluric irradiations have even produced upon certain persons such a perturbation in the functioning of the life of the cells of the organism that, without the intervention of microbes, an illness could result as a consequence.
It is certain that the medium in which we live exerts an important action upon physiological phenomena. It is these new ideas (!!!) that must be studied when we find ourselves in the presence of facts very difficult to explain.
But in reality, already in 1927 Dr. Jules Régnault had launched an appeal in La Côte d'Azur Médicale for the creation of a Société de Biodynamique [Sic: the original prints "Biodynczniique".], of international character, whose purpose was the study of the forces or diverse forms of energy of living beings, of their reciprocal actions and modifications under geophysical and cosmic influences.
And recently, under the stimulus of Dr. Maurice Faure, Dr. Jules Régnault founded in Nice the Institut international d'étude des radiations solaires, terrestres et cosmiques. An excellent initiative that has already given optimal results and will surely give others in the future, when calm has returned to the old European continent, at present devastated by the world conflagration.

p. 21the Chinese knew the variations of terrestrial magnetism produced by cosmic influences. What are those variations of terrestrial magnetism that the compass reveals to us? It is commonly believed that the extremity of the compass approximately directed towards the North, and which indicates the geographic North, coincides with the magnetic pole.
In reality, if it was so for Paris in 1666, it is so no longer, after a slow deviation has since been produced. The geographic pole does not, then, at present coincide with the magnetic pole. The angle formed between the two poles is called the angle of declination, and isogonic lines are those lines that unite all the points of the same declination.
On the other hand, the lines that unite all the points at which the inclination of one of the poles of the compass towards the earth is the same are called isoclinic lines [Sic: the original prints "isoclimas".], and the lines that unite all the points at which the intensity of the terrestrial magnetism is the same are called isodynamic lines. The angles of inclination and declination vary progressively and asynchronously.
These variations have been very well studied for Paris, from 1666 to 1915, by Al. Bécédéef, who published them in La Côte d'Azur Médicale of Toulon. (To be continued)
p. 22Elegy for the tenth night — … And I have been nine nights under the open sky, scratching the earth to calm the blood and thinning the cry of my imprisoned voice. Meanwhile, the bitter wind carried off, wisp by wisp, this shadow-profile of my body in darkness. And then I surrendered to you — night of mine — my blood.
The blood. Yes: the blood. The blood that sobs through blue tunnels its mistaken life; the blood that will not disintegrate its cry, because it is the foundation of the flower and of song.
And then I gave my forehead. Behind its tranquil marble, the fury of the dream lived its daily storm without one long wrinkle marking its surge, nor pure thought drowning it in its shadow as its vertical torture bored through my temples. And now it is the eyes: the taciturn eyes, where the dawn kept its petals of stars; the eyes of clear water where the gazelles went to seek meekness for their thirst for flight.
And there goes also the stone — now mute — of the lips: the lips already kissed by numerous deaths; and the seafaring feet, wounded with roads; the absent heart and the dawning breast. Afterwards?
Afterwards the hand: the calcined hand, marked in its sin by a burin of fire; the hand that would not pay its hard crime of having bound a dream with its hook of flesh. (Did you see it some day floating over things — a hallucinated bird that imprisons in its beak a green firefly scoring the horizon?). After nine nights, its tired lilies surrendered to the dawn their imprisoned dream. Everything is reintegrated to you: night profound and high.
The tremendous parabola no longer rests on you; and that trembling of centuries you gave me one day quieted — at last, for centuries too — its unutterable, desperate anguish of being humanity.
p. 23…One day, from the hot depth of the earth — eternal mother's womb that bears its harvest with an indifference of appeased sex — will come forth the sad rosary of my aching bones, free at last from the terror of their prison of life. And never again will the sweet song that gave beauty to the pilgrim passage through the prison of stone, never again will the secret lament of the flute, kindle in the evening its rustic call.
But it will be another life. Yes: another life. Different.

Enseñanzas de Jehel, S:: I::
corporal, a saber:
