Prohibited Users: You may not use our Services if:

  • You are prohibited by law from accessing our Services

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

4.1 Our Content

The Collective Press owns or licenses all content on our Services, including:

  • Sacred Synthesis and all related publications
  • The Four Pillars methodology
  • Constitutional assessment framework
  • Democratic Mysticism governance protocols
  • Website design, graphics, and text
  • Logos, trademarks, and branding

4.2 License to You

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Access and use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes

  • Use our teachings in your personal practice and local study groups

4.3 Community Contributions

Pseudonymous Content: Content posted under pseudonyms is protected. We will not attempt to link pseudonymous content to real identities without legal requirement.

5. USER ACCOUNTS

Account Creation: Some features require creating an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

Pseudonymous Accounts: Pseudonyms are welcome and supported.

6. PURCHASES AND DONATIONS

Voluntary Support: All financial contributions are voluntary. Sacred Synthesis is available free; purchases and donations support our mission and operations.

Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through third-party processors (Stripe, PayPal). We do not store full credit card numbers.

Refund Policy:

  • Digital Products: Refundable within 30 days if product is defective or not as described
  • Physical Products: Refundable within 30 days if defective, return shipping paid by you
  • Donations: Generally non-refundable but contact us if there’s an error
  • Subscriptions: Cancellable anytime; no refund for current billing period

Pricing: We reserve the right to change pricing with notice. Price changes do not affect already-purchased products.

7. DISCLAIMERS

7.1 Educational and Spiritual Purposes

Not Professional Advice: Our Services provide educational and spiritual content for consciousness development. This content is not:

We do not control content posted by community members. Community posts reflect individual views, not official positions of The Collective Press. We are not responsible for interactions between community members.

Our Services may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Maximum Extent Permitted by Law: The Collective Press, its affiliates, and representatives are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages arising from use or inability to use our Services
  • Damages from community member interactions
  • Outcomes from practicing consciousness development techniques
  • Unauthorized access to your account or data

Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.

Essential Services Exclusion: Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. INDEMNIFICATION

10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Before initiating formal proceedings, we both agree to attempt good-faith negotiation. Contact us at legal@thecollectivepress.org with a detailed description of the dispute. We will respond within 30 days and attempt to resolve the matter collaboratively.

10.2 Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court, except:

  • Small claims court (disputes under $10,000)
  • Intellectual property disputes
  • Violations requiring injunctive relief
